In this YouTube review, Mike Melton evaluates three popular all‑terrain tires—Falken Wildpeak AT4, Toyo AT3, and Nitto G3—to help viewers choose the best option for off‑road and on‑road driving. He describes each tire’s tread pattern, sidewall styling, 3‑peak mountain snow rating, and mileage warranties (Falken: 65,000 mi P / 60,000 mi LT; Toyo: 65,000 mi P / 50,000 mi LT; Nitto: 70,000 mi P / 55,000 mi LT). Melton notes that Falken’s recent redesign sacrifices wet and snow traction for higher mileage, while Toyo retains strong wet/snow grip, is lighter, and offers better fuel economy. The Nitto G3, the successor to the discontinued Terra Grappler G2, provides the best wet and snow traction, a quieter ride, and a higher mileage warranty, making it Melton’s top pick. He ranks the tires: 1) Nitto G3, 2) Toyo AT3, 3) Falken AT4, and explains the reasoning behind each ranking.

Let's go over the 3 best all-terrain tires on the market. All right, starting with the Falken Wildpeak AT4. So let's go over the tread design. Looks pretty good, got a lot of siping in that tire. But there's one thing about this tire that has changed, and we're going to go over it. All right, so on the Falken, you got the raised black letters on the sidewall like that, and on the other sidewall they're just flat. So it gives you 2 different looks. All right, now these things are a 3-peak mount Snowrator too, and they got a high-mileage warranty. So it's 65,000 on P metric tires and it's 60,000 on LT tires. Now one thing that has changed on this tire right here is they reduced the snow traction and wet traction on this tire to get higher mileage. Now the AT3W is better because of that. The AT4, they kind of messed it up when they took away that traction to get more miles. Now for the Toyo AT3. Now the Toyo does have two different sidewalls on there, so it's not as aggressive as the Falken, but the wet traction on this tire is way better. So like the Falken, it's also 3-peak mountain snow rated. And the warranty on this thing is 65,000 for P metric tires and 50,000 for LT tires. So when it comes between Toyo and Falcon, the Toyo is going to beat as far as wet traction, snow traction, because they did reduce that trying to get that higher mileage for the Falcons. Now here's the top in my game, it's going to be the Nitto G3. So they used to have the Terra Grappler G2, they discontinued that one. To make it better, here's the Nitto G3. So like all Nittos, they got two different sidewalls. There, one right there, and you got that one right there. Now, like the Toyo and the Falken, this is also 3-peak mountain rated. And for the P metric size, you got a 70,000-mile warranty, and the LT size is a 55,000-mile warranty. So out of each one of these tires, I wouldn't choose this one because they, they reduce the wet traction. They kind of mess it up on that one. Now, the Toyo is a little bit lighter tire than that Falken, so it's going to give you better gas mileage and better wet traction because they haven't done anything to this tire in a while because it's so good. Now, the top of the line for me is going to be the Nitto G3, and the reason is because this thing has better wet traction and snow traction, and it's a little bit quieter than that, uh, than that Toyo. So out of all three of these tires, my number one is, um, it's gonna be the Nitto G3. My number two is that Toyo AT3, and then my number three is going to be Falcon AT4 because they mess up that traction.
