This is a YouTube video titled "Robot tire changer" created in September 2024, featuring a single speaker demonstrating and discussing a robotic system called Robo Tire that removes factory tires from vehicles at a discount tire store in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The speaker explains the robot's capabilities and speculates on the future role of robots versus humans in tire changing.
All right, so this is a robot that takes factory sized tires off of vehicles. So we're at the discount tire store in Fountain Hills, Arizona. So this system right here is called Robo Tire. What it is, it's in beta right now to just give them data on how it takes wheels and tires on all vehicles. Now all it does is take them off the vehicle. It doesn't change them or anything like that. So this thing is pre programmed for a thousand vehicles to do just factory wheels. It's not after four aftermarket wheels. So it, it knows exactly what slug, nut size and everything to take those tires off. So you tell me, is this going to be the future of tire changing or are we still going to have guys going to be changing the tires? Is it going to be robots or people? Personally, I think more than likely you're still going to have people, but you may have this taking your wheels and tires off the vehicles, but only the future is going to know. And that's pretty dope to have robots taking your wheels and tires off your cars. So if you'd like to see it, if you live in Arizona, come by the one in Fountain Hills, come see this. Too bad they don't have it.
