In this promotional demo, Mike Melton and Pete (Head of Product Management at Hunter) explain why shops should choose Hunter’s tire mounting and balancing equipment over competitors. They argue that superior service and support are paramount, highlighting that equipment damage or wheel scratches cost more than the higher purchase price. The conversation then shifts to Hunter’s “walkaway” automation—machines that can demount, mount, inflate, and balance tires autonomously, allowing technicians to perform other tasks simultaneously. Live demonstrations show the equipment dismounting a tire without any operator. The hosts stress that while speed is valuable, quality and the ability to multitask safely are more important. Finally, they discuss Hunter’s financing model, presenting a low daily cost (e.g., $29/day) that can quickly pay for itself by increasing shop throughput and preventing damage, making the investment financially attractive.

So let me tell you why we choose Hunter over any other mounters or balancers. So Hunter makes some of the best equipment. It's not only, you know, a lot of people say, oh, well, the equipment's too expensive. Listen, what's more expensive? Scratching the wheel, damaging the wheel, or having service issues where you can't get your equipment service? Now, that's one thing Hunter does, right? So for one, service is number one. It should be in your store, too. But a lot of shops, service ain't. Ain't like it should be, right? We both know this. So when it comes to service, that's why Hunter is number one. Now, we're going to have a conversation with Pete. He's the head of product management. He's gonna tell you a little bit about Hunter. All right, Pete, give us a little bit of insight on Hunter and why people should choose Hunter.
Well, every day we're trying to think of how we can make technicians lives easier, faster, safer, just better in general. And this is what drives us in our product development all the time. We're really just trying to, you know, make everyone's job easier and more profitable.
And y' all are saying y' all going towards more automation, right?
That's correct. Yeah. So we've got the roadforce walkway here paired with our rep evolution.
Walk away.
Walk away for us is our term for automation. That means the technician can walk away from the equipment and do other tasks. So you could be, you know, mounting the finished wheel to the vehicle or taking the new wheel off the vehicle. While our equipment is working autonomously.
Yeah, yeah. So. So when, like the balance. So when he takes the wheel, puts it on the balancer, he can still go back to change the tires while this thing's balancing it by itself.
Exactly.
Or vice versa. He goes to the bouncer, and this thing will change the tire by itself. Right.
It'll demount tires completely by themselves. A little bit of manual help for the moun demounting is completely autonomous, as is the inflation and balance measurements on the. On the walkaway balancer.
Yeah. So come up here. So just like now, while we're talking. Look, look, there's no technician right here. Me and Pete standing right here, right, Watch this thing. It's going to dismount this tire all by itself. You don't have to have a technician sitting there watching it, waiting on it, or having spoons in it.
That's about a minute right there, you know, and a minute is seems like not much time. But a technician do so much in a minute right over here.
So like, look, we're, we're dismounting this tire right here. Now look, scan over here. He's over bouncing now. Come back over here. Now we'll show you. Watch it. It's going to dismount this thing all by itself. No technician needed. That's going to get to push the bottom beat up, take the pressure off. Now we got taking the top bead off. Now it's going to spin it around, put that sensor in the right position. So you're not going to break a sensor because we all know how many shops break sensors. And I see it all the time in my. Not us breaking them coming from other shops. So now watch this thing dismount this whole tire all by itself. Now this is part of the automation part that Pete was talking about.
Sometimes we have people say, well, I could do it faster than that.
Of course they're going, of course you.
Can do it faster than that.
But it's not about the fastest. It's all about the quality. Right?
It's quality plus. You can't do it faster than that and then be doing something else at the same time.
You know, you're not changing that and balancing. Yeah, tell me you can do that. Yeah, yeah. Everybody want to hire you, right? You make a million doll a year. Yeah.
I could do two things at once.
Right. So that's why we choose Hunter. Right? So it's quality. Not always about the price. Listen, you're going to make more money because you have the right product. You're not going to have to worry about your team scratching wheels, damaging wheels. Hunter has a program where you can get it financed. This stuff costs you hardly nothing daily. You can make more money like this right here. This machine is only $29 a day. Tell me you can't make another $29 a day. Or with the road force, you can bring in thousands of customers a year just by having this mach. Tell me, for $16 a day, it's not worth having.
