They are monkeys for their sales people

Mike Melton calls Big O Tires to buy 295/65/20 tires and spends nine minutes criticizing the salesman James for not knowing the difference between Recon and Grappler G3 models. Melton says the store hires untrained people and staffs only one employee per location, calling them order takers who can't use the register.

All they do is hire monkeys and put them at the damn counters with zero training. So this is a multi-billion dollar corporation. Let's see how they treat us. Unless they piss me off, I'm not going to say their name. This is a billion dollar corporation. They can afford to have more than one sales counter person, but they always just have one person at the counter, which makes no sense to me. Hey James, I'm looking for some tires.
Yeah, what size are you looking for? Do you have that offhand?
Yeah, it's a 295/65/20. Now he gave me his name, but he didn't ask my name, so now, right, we're still transactional. So what's the difference between the Recon and the G3? The Recon and the G3? I'm not, not noticing the tread style on that one. I don't have a visual on that. So he's talking about a tread style. So other than tread style, there's no difference?
Uh, not as far as I'm seeing in load range, uh, and, uh, load carrying capacity.
All right, so what about wet traction? Let's see here. Wet traction, he's going by what a damn computer says. He don't know shit. I have a mud snow rated on the, uh, Grappler G3. That would be a better wet traction out of the three. And it's also your most economic M3 option. So the only difference between the G3 and the Recon is an M&S, and that would be the, uh, yeah, the mud and snow rating for you. Okay, so what, what about a 3-peak mountain snow rated? It's not 3-peak mountain snow rated? This guy's a freaking order taker, so he don't even know. I had to tell him it is right now. He's a sales monkey. Okay, how much are those? Those are $418.99. This tire cost itself for you. Okay, and see here, this guy is 1,000% an order taker. He knows nothing about tires. You hold just a moment for me, if I would. Now he's going to go to the computer and try to look up some information. If I was the owner of of this company and franchise, I would literally fire this guy. He's having trouble building it? What the hell are you talking about? You have a damn POS system that can give you a price. I don't get it. It's like, here, let's go find a bunch of damn monkeys and put them on the damn counter who don't know nothing. It's crazy to me. And this is Big O Tires. Is y'all here? They got me so mad. This is Big O Tires. 9 minutes already on the phone with Big O Tires and still have not closed me. These are the people that you have running your stores, owners. Owners, these are the people that you have running your store. I would be livid right now.
