Short solo product review/demonstration by Mike Melton (YouTube) showing mounting, inspection, and road-force balancing of Grip Max MTS mud tires (nicknamed “grappaneers”). He inspects sidewalls and tread, notes the tires are studdable for ice/snow, mounts them, removes stickers, and runs a road-force balance test reporting the roller applies ~1,200 lbs of force and balance readings.

Mounting up a set of these. Grip max mts. Got a couple of them done already. All right, now let's go over this tire a little bit. Now, a lot of people like to see the sidewalls. There you go on the sidewall. Not crazy aggressive, but it's got a little bit aggressiveness on there. Now these, what we call these is the grappaneers. Now, I didn't come up with that name, Chase did. I'm gonna give him the credit on it. Some of the guys asked me, can I run these things in ice and snow? Well, yeah, you can. They're studable. They got little holes in there. Sporadically. Put you some studs in there. Now, for the people that's going to take me serious about how quiet these are compared to Michelin. Use your damn brain. All right, now we got them all mounted up. Let's go ahead and balance these things, see how they come out. All right, now, before we balance it out, y' all know what we got to do. Bring her down and take that damn sticker off. All right, now we got all the weight off. Let's see what this thing's going to do. All right, we got that thing rolling. All right, now we got that roller coming down. Twelve hundred pounds of force. And of course, we road forcing these things. So give it a second. That roller is going to come off and we're going to sit. Exactly how good these things balance out to be a big mud tire. All right, there's calling for four and three quarters here, three and three quarters here, and only 21 pounds of force. So for a mud tire, road force it, that ain't too daggum bad.
