A speaker explains why most businesses fail, using a tire store as an example. The core issue: poor leadership and not taking care of your team. Success comes from leading by example and actually managing the people who work for you.
This is the real reason why people fail at business. Most people that open tire stores, they used to work at a tire store, but they really don't understand how to run the business. So there's a couple things. You have to have good leadership, and you have to take care of your team. So a lot of people come from a company who had crappy leadership. So you really don't understand what good leadership is. So good leadership is definitely leading by example. So if you're going to tell somebody to do something, you better be willing to do it, too. Doesn't matter what it is. So a lot of y' all want to sit behind the counter and just boss people. So leaders go out with their guys. They're on the front line with their guys, and they show them how it's done. They lead by example. Now, this is where a lot of them fail. So it's team. Like, a lot of y' all think, oh, man, I got to make this money. I got to make this money. But you don't. You're not taking care of the people. That's taking care of your customers. That is your team. So if you're not taking care of your team in every way possible, personally and a business, you're gonna fail flat out. They're not gonna. They're not gonna work with you. They're not gonna be there long for you. They're going to go find a real leadership. That's a fact.
