Mike Melton compares Toyo's three all-terrain tires: the AT3 has the best wet traction, the R/T Pro sheds mud best and looks better, and the R/T Trail sits between them as the quietest option. The R/T Trail trades wet grip and mud clearance for less noise.

We get a lot of questions about this tire right here. If you've never seen this one, this is the Toyo R/T Trail. Now, Toyo, they make several all-terrain tires. Well, they make the Toyo AT3, they make the R/T Trail, and they make the R/T Pro. Now, if you want something with better wet traction, stay with the Toyo AT3. This one here is in between the AT3 and R/T Pro. So the difference between this R/T Trail and R/T Pro is the tread blocks. The tread blocks are a lot closer on this one than it is the RT Pros. So if you go in the mud and stuff like that more, definitely go with the RT Pro because it's going to help get that mud out of those tread blocks because it's got more spacing in between them. Now if you want something a little quieter, this one here, the RT Trail, is a little quieter than RT Pro. As far as being beefy on the sidewalls, they're about the same. Now me personally, the RT Trails don't have that good of wet traction. I would go with the RT Pros because it's going to give a better look to it, but that's just me personally. A lot of people still like the RT Trails, but if it was me, I'd upgrade it to the RT Pros.
