Mike Melton compares three Nitto tire models. The Terra Grappler G3 has the most siping for wet traction on pavement. The Mud Graps balance aggression and quiet, which is why he runs them daily on his 2025 GMC 2500. Trail Grapplers are the most aggressive but louder.

Which of these 3 tires right here would you choose? Each set, they're all Nittos. Now first you got the Nitto Trail Grapplers, then you got the Nitto Terra Grappler G3s, and then you got the Nitto Mud Graps. We'll start with the one majority people want, which is those Nitto G3s. So the reason people want these, number 1, they use them mostly for the pavement, okay? All right, now they got the absolute best wet traction out of both of these. And the reason why, you got a lot of siping inside those tread blocks that help get that extra biting edge on the road. When it's wet. I like the Mud Graps. You see, there's only one line, which is a sipe inside the tread block. Same thing with the Trail Graps. So this is what's on my daily driver, on my 2025 GMC 2500. Some people say, man, these things are terrible in the rain and the snow. Well, I'm gonna tell you, you're full of it, because I daily drive these things, and if they were, I'd have those on there. And the reason I don't have these on there is because these are more aggressive. That's just the look I want. Then of course you got your top dog, super, super aggressive. So on my daily driver, I don't want nothing that's going to be crazy noisy. That's the only reason I didn't go with this one. But that is the best looking tire. That's going to be the quietest tire, best traction. And that's going to be a good off-road tire, on-road tire, just all around. And it's quiet for a mud tire, definitely quieter than this one.
