Mike Melton talks to a customer who drove 8 hours to buy tires from him. The conversation covers why someone travels that far for a tire shop, what makes the installation process different, and what keeps customers coming back.
Why did this guy drive all the way from Maryland to.
Come get a set of tires? A lot of y' all don't understand why people come to us so far away. You wouldn't understand. You can't even get people to drive to your shop 30 minutes away.
So let's see what we're putting on. This big Ram 3500. He's taking off these Cooper AT3s. We're putting on a big, brand new set of 305, 65, 18 Toyo AT3s.
So you got to do a.
Lot of things different. So a lot of you shops don't even replace the valve stem. We're gonna be putting in some brand new sensors. And of course, even if you ain't putting new sensors in, always replace that stem. Now, a lot of y' all just pull them in. Make sure you lube that stem so you don't tear it. All right?
We got all that weight off of there.
And of course, you know what we do? We take them damn stickers off. All right, let's get this thing balanced out. Make sure this thing gets out perfect. I'll see how this thing will bounce. Toyos and Nittos are always top quality when it comes to stuff. Now, sometimes you'll have a little high road force, but majority of time, you can always fix it. So this one here is on the coffer three quarters and three quarters here. Sixteen pounds of force. Perfect.
