Mike Melton tests whether 37-inch tires fit a stock GMC 4x4 pickup. He installs a 37×11.50 Recon/Gravel AT tire on a 20-inch wheel and checks clearance at the rear, upper control arm, and suspension. The verdict: they fit without rubbing or modifications needed.

Another big old GMC at 4 about to come in here for a new set of tires. So he's wanting to put some 37s on here. So we're going to see what we got to do to get them on here. For them, this thing's all factory. No level, no nothing. So factory, they already put these little shorter caps on this at 4, which is good for a little bit of rear clearance. But we do have that kicking out. So we'll put one on there and check it out. Most times you go 37s, you got a control arm issue. So we're going to put the 1150s on there. Should. Should have a problem with that. Right now. He's got a 275, 6520. We're going to be putting a 37, 1150 little recon gravel ATS on this truck. All right, for all the haters gonna say, oh, it's leveled. It's not factory. Look. That's all factory. Look at what you want. All right, so we got it on there. Looks like you have plenty of clearance back here. We'll let it down. We'll see what kind of clearance we got here. Upper control arm, no problem. Spinning, no problem. You're right. I have to come back the other way. All right, so if you got a 20, 24 at 4, want to throw 37s on the factory, you can go with a 37, 1150, 20, and they fit, no problem. No rub, no scrub.
