A mechanic found a lawnmower tire with multiple plugs and explains why that's risky. Tire plugs work fine on cars and trucks, but lawnmower tires spin faster and can throw a plug at high speed.

Now, you ain't gonna believe what's all in this tire right here. So we do a pretty good bit of lawnmower tire for people, and this is about the first time he. He had a major issue with it. So kind of looks like a belt's broken, but that ain't the worst problem. So you just riding, you know, riding through grass, you know, you got a little plug here. No, no big deal. Because you can use a plug in a lawnmower tire, just don't use them on a car tire. Well, let's keep on going. What the hell? What? That. Some gun has got about 40 tire plugs in that thing. Look at that. So I guess you got to do what you got to do to keep your grass cutting to keep that money going. But you never want to put a plug into a sidewall of a tire. Now, if it's a lawnmower tire, you're good. But don't ever, ever put it into a car tire or truck tire because you're going pretty damn fast on the road. 50, 60, 70 miles an hour. If that thing come apart on you, you're going to have you an accident. So lawnmower tires, you can do a tire plug all day. Car, truck tires, don't do it.
