Are You Anointed to Coach? | Christian Life Coach Alignment & Holy Spirit-Led Strategy

Sorry, I'm just a few minutes late, but I am here and I'm excited to share with you all a very special message and to talk to you more about the Anointed to Coach series. Okay, so welcome to those who, um, are on now, those who will come on later. Uh, please put in the comment section— if you come back to watch the replay later, put hashtag anointed, hashtag anointed in the comments. Okay, uh, so before I start, I want to, um, share who I am. My name is Shakeeta Torres. I am a licensed therapist, a life coach. Um, I'm in ministry online and also, you know, in private as well. And I am just excited, um, about sharing this new, I would say, sub-brand that the Lord has given me recently. Um, it is amazing, it's powerful, and I'm going to share with you more in detail, um, more about how it came about and share with you more about what it actually is. Okay, so thank you all. Um, and I will stop periodically to read what you have put, and then I will answer your question. Okay, um, and so, um, for those of you once again who are new to my social media platforms, welcome! Thank you so much for being here. I'll be coming to watch the replay again, put hashtag anointed and let me know also where you are tuning in from. Okay, all righty. So first I want to, uh, kind of go back as I was preparing for this live, um, the Lord put it on my heart to kind of go back to where everything first started for me in reference to this word. So maybe about 2 years ago, um, the Lord had given me this word for mental health professionals and for life coaches, um, urging us to prepare, prepare for what is ahead, prepare for, uh, the increase of, um, of need for services. Okay, so as you all know that, um, during the pandemic everything was just crazy, right? I mean, it was a lot going on. I know for me, I was so busy. I was seeing, seeing between, um, 30 to 40 clients every single week. Um, God had prepared me for that and equipped me for that. He had graced me for that during that season. Um, and so many people were not prepared for that. I had no idea it was coming, but I knew the Lord kept telling me, I'm preparing you, but he never told me what it was for, okay? Um, in particular. And so, um, Since then, you know, he's still saying that there are things that are still to come in this world. It's going to require, you know, mental health counseling and coaching at a greater scale. It's going to be such a demand for us that I honestly— this is what I believe. I'm not saying God's telling me this, but I believe that, um, even the insurance companies are going to have to start shifting even the more to include, um, life coaching, because some therapists may not be, you know, able to maintain and be able to accept all of these people who need services, you all. So things are changing, as you all can see now in this world, on every— in every single area, okay? I did a live in the beginning of the year, January 1st, um, a huge word that God gave me, um, for the body in reference to the Seven Mountains of Influence. So I won't go into that, that word today, uh, but the Lord did tell me, um, this month to kind of go back to that word and kind of break it down again and kind of see where we are, okay? To see what has came to pass already and what has not came to pass yet, okay? So I will do that. Uh, my goal is sometime this month, you guys. Keep me in prayer. All right, um, so with that being said, um, let me see, the last month I launched, um, my, my cohort this summer for those who want to be— to become certified Christian life coaches. And my students are so amazing. Like, I just, I just love them so much. They're, they are just so amazing, okay? They're already anointed. God is doing so much in their lives.. And I'm just honored to just be a part of their journey, um, to give them more tools, to, you know, pour into them, to speak into them, and to lead them and help them to really get clarity on what God is calling them to do in this season. Okay. And so, um, not only that, they're so hungry. They're so hungry, um, to the point where some of the things they had been asking for, I didn't, you know, I didn't have, right? Like, I had it in the program, but they want more of specific things.. And so one of the students asked, um, hey, um, Shakeeta Torres, do you have, um, do you know of any books that talks more about your coaching style? Right? I went over that in my program as well. And I said, you know what, let me look into that. So I began to do some research. I began to Google it, and I could not find any books for life coaches, let alone Christian life coaches, about your coaching style and what they could look like for you. And so I said, God, what am I going to do? He said, create it. You have to create what you don't see. I said, oh wow, God. I said, okay. So, you know, I went from there and, um, I said, all right, God, I'll do it. So I begin to start, you know, doing some research, looking at coaching styles, right? And as I'm developing and looking at the book and the outline, I'm seeing that there's more that's needed, more that's needed, um, for us who are Christian life coaches, okay, that is not on the market. And if it is on the market, it's not that detailed, it's very vague. And also it don't really talk about the Holy Spirit, you all. It doesn't. And so God was like, create a series. And I'm like, a series? I'm like, Lord, now this is my plan. This is— this is— this— God is so funny. So I be saying to myself, Lord, okay, give me a break from writing all these books because I'm tired, okay? And when I say I'm tired, I'm not saying that like God can't grace me for it and I can't do it. It's just that I do have, you know, many things going on in the background right now, and I want to do things in excellence. Okay, and so I had wrote the book, um, a couple of months ago about human trafficking. That book took a lot out of me spiritually. Okay, I would say spiritually because I had to go back and dig deeper into what God had been showing me for years. Okay, um, and so with that being said, I said, okay guys, I begin to look. And by the time, you know, I got done looking at the different book titles, it end up being 7 different topics. He said, write a book for each particular topic. Okay, and I go in that, um, into that today. And so it went from just someone asking a question in my program about a resource, okay? I had to create that one book, but then from there it turned into a book series, and now it turned into a workshop series, and now God is giving me even more to do with it in the future. I'm even with sharing it with my bookkeeper, who's also my friend. I'm like, girl, this is what God gave me, girl. She said, she was like, I see more. And she began to pour into me and be, you know, and begin to, um, give me prophetic words about what God was saying about anointed to coach. So this is a subvision. I call it a subvision or brand of, um, Empower Purpose Academy. So everything I had when it comes to programs, you know, mentorship, all that's under my academy, okay? And so, um, I kept saying, okay guys, so I did it. And God said, don't make it hard. He said, make it simple. I'll lead you. You, you guys, he did just that, okay? I can feel the wind on these books, okay? And so, um, I went ahead and created the books, um, and I offered the ebook version to my students., and they are loving them, okay? They love— it's giving them so much clarity, so much insight. Oh God, it just, okay, warms my heart. So the books, the first draft of my books came in the mail on yesterday. I was like, yeah, I get to share them today on the live. So this is only 6 of them right now. If you can see that, this is the books, what it look like. Uh, my husband, um, opened them up last night. He said, oh my God, babe, he said, I can feel the fire and the anointing on this book. It's like very subtle. So if you look at the book cover, right, um, this is what I saw, like, you know, fire and you feel wind, okay? So to me, when I see this, it, it brings that balance, okay? So you have the fiery, right? God can be fiery, the Holy Spirit can be full of fire, but then also the Holy Spirit can be full of just that stillness, that peace, right? Um, everybody thinks that God is always up in here when it comes to, you know, healing, but he's both. He can operate on both. Just like when I work with my students I have now, um, so far we come together, it can be fiery prayer that God released me to do. Other times it's just peaceful and it's like being in God's like presence, you all. And as a life coach, this is what it looks like to me, okay? Um, and so we are literally in— we had class 3 Thursday, um, and it was amazing. And so, um, once again, I'm gonna go over the books real quickly. So the first book here is called Refining Your Niche, right? Um, for those of you who need clarity on that, and oftentimes people struggle with niching down because they feel like they're going to leave somebody out or they're going to leave money on the table, and that's not true. Okay, so not only that, you're not called to everybody. Nobody is called to everyone. I know I am not called to everyone. So this book helps you. It's a workbook. It has, uh, quizzes in here, worksheets in here to help you to get clarity. And my students so far has got clarity about who they're called to. Okay, all right, the next one here, um, really quickly, is Discovering Your Unique Coaching Style. This is the book that I began writing, um, before God gave me all 7 books. Um, you can see that here on LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook. And, um, it helps you to really understand how God uses you as a coach and give you the language for that. Okay, so I didn't see that on Amazon, nowhere else either. Okay, Building Your Confidence. Ah, I love this one too, because oftentimes, especially when you're kind of new at it, Um, you're trying to really figure out your groove, figure out, you know, what to say, what not to say. And again, every single book I had thus far, it has assessments in here. It gives you clarity and all that good stuff. Okay, um, the next one here is Understanding Your Client's Coaching Style. They've read this one too already, and they love this book as well. And it talks about your clients. Oftentimes, right, we think that what we do and how we do it is just like the best way to do it.. But I know for a fact from experience as a life coach and a therapist how sometimes the Lord can lead you to do it a different way. There's been so many times I've showed up to session with my own agenda, and in the midst of that, right before I get on with my client, the Lord is telling me, okay, do it this way today. Today they need this. Okay, so this book teaches you how to shift with the Holy Spirit. Okay, how to shift with him and to really meet your clients where they are. And there's so many different ways that people learn. And so when I am working with clients, um, whether it's through business or through coaching, life coaching. I'm like, hey, I'm like, show me or tell me like what it is like that, you know, helps you to learn better. Is it audio? Is it visual? Is it a mixture of different things? But this book goes deeper than just those 4 things, okay, 4 areas. It goes deeper, okay. The next one here is Creating Your Signature Offer. Every life coach should have a core offer that they offer to their particular niche, okay. Um, so this book helps you with that. And then the other one here is marketing your message. How are you marketing? Marketing God's way. And I know people say, okay, social media is saturated, and yes it is. But y'all, I begin to like ask God to like stretch my mind even the more in this area, because oftentimes like when you are in, uh, you know, you know, a particular sphere, we often look at content as in our sphere, and so it can appear as though it's saturated. But it's not. If you look at the world, you know, the world through— to be honest, through God's eyes— you got so many people in this world who needs what you are carrying, and you do have to market to those people. So this book shows you how to do that. And you know, one of the things that I try my best to steer away from is marketing how the world do it. What I mean by that, some people market using witchcraft. Some people market using tactics that are manipulative and controlling, okay? This is not what this book is about, all right? It's about, you know, marketing what God put on your heart and really meeting people where they are and speaking their language, okay? So it's about that. Book number 7, my husband has that book. Um, I'm with him right now at work. He wanted to read it. Um, that was about creating your group program. So if you want to create a group program for your particular niche or people you're called to, that book talks about that, okay? Um, and also in my— for my students, we're going to be doing that in July. I'm going to be showing them and teaching them, you know, how to, um, create their program and give them that blueprint, like, step by step. So these books are already on sale. It's very, very detailed. If I go over it today, I'll be here for over an hour because I want to really go into a teaching with you all, okay, and more what God want me to share. So yeah, these books are amazing. Um, they are anointed. Like I said, my husband opened it, he said, oh my God, I can feel the fire, I can feel the wind, I can feel the Holy Spirit on this book. So this book is— these books are like impartation. Um, and I will share more about that and what that means in just a little bit. Okay. Um, so, uh, with that being said, um, let me go back to my next section. All right. So what the Lord was showing me, um, was that he's calling Christian life coaches to go deeper into alignment with him because of what's going on in the world, because of what's going on right now that we see is happening right before our eyes. Y'all, honestly, it's only going to get worse. I hate to say that, but it's the truth. It's going to get worse. All right, he wants to revive you. He wants to refuel your passion and reignite the anointing to lead his people his way. Not our way, not the way the world does it, but his way. And I know for a fact, sometimes, you know, I look on social media and, um, I can discern some things. I can see people who are, you know, just doing it just to say they're Christian because it's a trend. And then you have those who I know God has called and they are anointed to do this, but they may just lack strategy. They— the big thing I see, it could be confidence. That's what I see, confidence and strategy. And one of the things that I kept saying I didn't realize I was saying until one of my students brought it out to me. I'm like, whenever you, um, you know, so my program gives you structure, okay? And she said, Shakeeta, you kept saying that over and over again. She said, what I heard was the program gives you structure, these books help give you structure, but structure also brings you confidence too. So how can you be confident in something if you don't really have like a streamline of what that looks like when it comes to you being a life coach. Okay, so I have so many things in place, like systems, right, to be able to make it easier for me and to make it easier for my clients. And also, you know, you have to really be able to like speak their language. It's just layered. There's no way I can go into all this. This is why I'm having the VIP workshop series, so you can, you know, go, you know, come in with me during, you know, during the Zoom, and we can go deeper into what it is that you have, what God's called you to do so you can get your own blueprint for your particular area of influence. Okay, um, and not only that, we have those who have grown weary, who are tired, who have been maybe coaching, maybe not coaching, and they feel God pulling them to restart, but they don't have what they need spiritually in this season, or what they need as far as strategy and support to help them to relaunch from a person who really is led by God. Okay, I'm talking about myself. And so they need like fresh impartation. And impartation is a real thing, you guys. Impartation is real. Um, God definitely does, um, speak to us. He gives us insight. He gives us like, ah, so much, right? But he also uses vessels, vessels that he has poured into, to pour into other people. I myself have received impartation, whether it's through books, whether it's at a conference, whether it is me watching somebody on live, whatever. I have received that in so many different ways, right, to help me to move forward in certain areas of my ministry and my business, okay? Um, so I'll get into that in just a few moments, okay? So what does it mean to be anointed to coach? It means to be chosen, consecrated, and empowered by God for a specific assignment or purpose. So in biblical times, the anointing involved the physical act of pouring oil over someone's head, symbolizing the spiritual empowerment of the Holy Spirit to fulfill a divine calling. So when we say a Christian life coach is anointed, we mean that they have been set apart by God not to just offer advice or strategy, but to serve as a vessel through which the Holy Spirit can bring transformation, healing, direction, and direction to others. This goes beyond skill and training. It's spiritual authority granted by God. Okay. And, um, even now I want to share real quickly that people have been emailing me and asking me, you know, hey, this program for those who are new at coaching, if you have already been certified, then yes, if you're new. If you have not had any training at all whatsoever as a life coach, this, this is not for you because I'm not going over all that. My life coaching program, for those to be certified, my program goes over all that. We go over assessments, we go over strategy, we go over tools, we go over so much. It is so meaty, and I cannot teach that in a, in the, the coach, um, series, okay? This is for those who are already coaching, whether you're new or seasoned. And you need some support, and you need fresh— something fresh, okay? You need strategy. All right, all right. So let's look at scripture, you know, when it comes to the anointing, okay? The Spirit of the Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted. Um, this is Isaiah 61:1. This verse shows that the anointing for, for service and healing in this— and kingdom impact All right, next scripture here, it says, um, anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may serve as priests. Um, anointing come with a divine commissioning to serve on behalf of God. So this is Exodus chapter 30 and verse 30. Okay, um, and so you can look all throughout scripture, and I'm not going to read all of them here today, and it talks about, you know, being anointed, which means to be set apart for a specific assignment or specific task, okay? So in your practice to be anointed as a coach, you are to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in every session. Um, you seek God's approval more than human approval. You operate from your calling, not just your credentials. You walk in spiritual authority with humility, and you understand that transformation happens through God working through you, not just your frame works. Okay, my God. All right, and so here, um, talk about, um, Paul. Let me see one second. Yes, impartation. All right, so next here I want to talk about impartation and, you know, what that could look like. Um, some of you guys already know, you know, what that means, but I do want to bring clarity, um, into that because I I do have that, um, on the, uh, the page for this, um, program, um, impartation. And first of all, it doesn't mean that I'm not God. Nobody is God, first and foremost. But there are things that God put on the inside of me to release to other people. So impartation is a divine transfer, a spiritual release of grace, wisdom, gifts, or anointing from one vessel to another. It is a God-initiated and often happens through human instruments such as prophets, teachers, spiritual leaders who carry what the Lord wants them to deposit into others. Um, it is not just a biblical concept, it's consistent thread throughout scripture demonstrating how the power, wisdom, and gifts of God are shared, activated, and multiplied through obedience and relationship. My God. Okay, so let's look at scripture real quickly. It says here, Moses to the 70 elders, impartation of a leadership spirit. I love this. Um, this is Numbers chapter 11, verse 17. Uh, I would take some of the power of the spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you would not have to carry it alone. Okay, so this is what the Lord did for Moses. Moses was carrying such great authority in such great ways that God— you put me over all these people and I need help. And so he had him to lay his hands on 70 elders, 70 elders, okay, um, so that they can help share the load and what he was doing. All right, um, then we have also the story of Elijah and Elisha, the double portion of the prophetic mantle. Um, scripture, 2 Kings, um, 2:9-15. Uh, please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me. This was, um, Elisha talking to Elijah. And so here's the thing, I want people to understand this, okay? Many people say they want the double anointing of the, of the anointing that, you know, that someone, that someone carries. It's not a bad thing to desire that, but you have to remember that before that, there was a season where Elisha walked with Elijah, where he was like his mentor. His spiritual mentor. And then wherever Elijah left, he was able to leave, okay, the portion that he was asking God for onto Elisha. So it does require sometimes a level of mentorship for you to receive what that person is also carrying. Um, you're not going to get everything they have, but you get what God is pulling from that person to give to you in this season. As to what you need. Okay, um, then we have here Paul to Timothy stirring up the gift through impartation. Um, 2 Timothy 1:6 says this: This is why I remind you to fan into flame the spiritual gift God gave you when I lay my hands on you. So Paul reminds Timothy that something supernatural was given to him through laying of the hands. Um, this is the New Testament concept, um, where spiritual gifts and callings are often activated or confirmed through impartation by mature leaders in the faith. And not only that, impartation does not mean you're going to be doing exactly what that person is doing. Let me explain. So I have definitely received impartation in different ways, some small measures of it, some greater measures of it. And the Lord knows I can— oh God, I'm thinking about it now and it's like, it just blows my mind. Um, and God himself has also imparted into me as well. Um, you also can receive it through the word of God, okay? And so one area for sure is writing books. And so I have received, you know, prayer and impartation from the Lord and from a person for me to be able to write, to write with speed, to write with grace, and to write in excellence. But what I'm writing and what they're writing is two different things, okay? 2 different areas, 2 different spheres of influence, okay? And so from there, over the past 2 or 3 years, I have been writing at the speed that only comes from the Lord, okay? Only comes from the God. Um, I also received before, um, a greater level of wisdom. Like, God wanted me to have a greater level of wisdom on how to operate in certain ways when it comes to my business for sure, and then also my ministry. Um, he has called me sometimes to work with someone for a season, whether it's through business or ministry, and I'm actually paying them for a service, and I receive impartation that way. And so there's so many different ways that the Lord can be placing it on your heart, um, to receive, um, impartation. And so if you want what God has for you, it comes with the sacrifice. It comes with you being obedient and operating in faith, right, to receive what it is. And there's something that I received as well that I have yet to see the full revelation of it. Some things, it just takes time to unfold, and it takes time to be revealed because you're operating on God's timeline. And so it's so important, um, that you don't get ahead of the Lord, but you go at his pace, okay? And the prime example of that obedience is my book. Like, that's why I write the book. I had no idea it was going to get to this. It wasn't in my plan. My plan was, okay, God, this year you told me to do this. This summer, in the fall, I work with Christian therapists. And even as I was writing these books, I'm like, okay, so Lord, you want me to do a VIP workshop series? So that means that in the fall I'm not doing the Christian therapist thing. He said, yes, you are. I said, oh God. He said, this is a need and you're gonna do it. Because my bookkeeper, she hears God, my sister. My sister in Christ, Shakeeta Torres, she's like, girl, she laugh because she's like, can you be saying things? And I know you be saying, I'm like, girl, yes, you are. And so, uh, God is funny. He, he is funny. So don't ever tell God what you ain't gonna do because, um, yeah. He'll tell you to do it. All right, um, okay, and so let me finish out this part about impartation, and then I'm gonna go more into the program again, and I'm gonna be done. I'm not gonna be here forever, you guys. Oh, you all. And so then, um, so today, you know, it's— we can still receive impartation, what I'm trying to say. You can receive it through laying of hands, you can receive it through books, you can receive it through, you know, live teaching, you can receive it through the Zoom room, okay? In so many ways, the anointing of God that comes from the Lord is tangible in all types of ways, all types of ways, okay? Uh, it doesn't require proximity, it requires faith, honor, and readiness. And let me highlight the word honor here. Let me, let me say this: honor, honor, honor. Oh my God, so many people do not honor some of the vessels that God has called forth, especially in this hour. Um, I myself have honestly definitely, you know, experienced that, um, because everybody wants to have access to everything whenever they want to at no cost to them. And one of the things that God told me was no more, no more. Um, I know for me I have invested and invested and invested and invested and sacrificed so much, so much into my ministry, my business, myself, my family, okay? And that deserves to be honored, to be honest. And if you a person that has been doing the same thing, it's the same thing for you. And so for me, I'm really big on honoring the people who have poured into me, um, respecting them, right, and giving them, um, credit where credit is due, okay? Um, and so if you coming to try to receive from anybody, not just me, and your heart is not pure, you don't have honor for that person, you're not going to receive anything.. You're just not. You're just not, because it is distributed by the Lord, okay? And the anointing can be transferred through obedient vessels who have walked through their— through the fire, who have been tested, and now pour out what the Lord has entrusted to them, okay? And that is me, along with so many other people who have been pruned, who have been tested, who has walked through the fire and is able to, to teach. To pour out, to minister, to lead, to instruct, and all that good stuff. Um, even with my other mentorship group I have now for Christian living, it's been so beautiful and so, uh, so powerful, okay? And I know for a fact they receive so much because they also honor me and they respect me, okay? And, um, God honors that. He honors that, okay? You just ask him, ask the Holy Spirit, Lord, should I do this? Okay, and he will, he will lead you, but it's up to you, um, to obey. I'm not going to pressure you, I'm not going to force you. Yes, God, things may look chaotic, but Lord, you reminded me, Lord God, that we are in, um, tribulation. Separation, and you are, I'm calling, causing a divide between who's real and who's, um, who is lukewarm and not truly serving you. And so God, help us, Lord, to see past the smoke, to see past, um, you know, everything, and look into your heart, to come to you and ask you questions for clarity and insight. Father, help us, God, not to lean into our own understanding but to seek you in all things, to read your word, God, to pray, Lord God, um, to be in tune and be in step with what you're saying in this season about our life, God, about our blueprint, Lord. And so God, I just pray, God, for those who may be struggling, those who may be going through, who may, who may be confused. Father, you are not the author of confusion, Lord. And so, Father, I pray for peace over their mind and peace over their hearts on today, God. And so, Lord, I give you the glory, the honor, and the praise. In Christ's name I pray, amen and amen.
