Shakeeta Torres launches "Doing It For The Kingdom," a faith-based brand rooted in Colossians 3:23-24, encouraging believers in any job to see their work as service to God. She's selling branded t-shirts as conversation starters and plans a weekly series spotlighting people faithfully working for their faith.
Hello, my name is Shakeeta Torres and welcome back to my YouTube channel. So today I wanted to share some big news with you guys. I have a new brand and it's called Doing It For The Kingdom. I'm so excited about it because it's been in my spirit for a little over a year, but I haven't really did a whole lot with it. So I have decided to go ahead and push through with this brand and push this baby out. So long story short, I'm Doing It For The Kingdom um, comes from Colossians chapter 3, verse 23-24, and it reads, whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are working for. So pretty much what I'm saying is, if you are a hairdresser, if you are a therapist, if you are, um, you know, a stay-at-home mom, a stay-at-home dad, if you a soldier, if you work at the hospital, if you a nurse or whatever you work at, I don't care what it is. I don't care if you work in McDonald's, Burger King, wherever you are and you a believer, our job is to advance the kingdom of God. We are doing it for the kingdom. We are doing it for Christ. Oftentimes, you know, I kept hearing the slogan, you know, a little over a year ago, we doing it for the culture. Yeah, cool, we are. But doing it for the kingdom, to me, is more important than anything. Okay, so what I did, I created some t-shirts. Um, the link will be down below for you to purchase, for you to be able to wear. I would love for you to purchase one. Um, share it. It's a good way to start a conversation with people. It's a good way to get people to really work towards their purpose. You know, we all have a purpose. The work God has given me to do you can't do it. The work God has given you to do, I can't do it. So we need each other to build up the kingdom of God. We have the arm, we have a leg, we have the head, we have the tail, we have the feet, we have the eyes, the neck, all of the above. All of the— we need all you guys. There's nothing too small for God that he cannot use. Please remember that. I tell my clients all the time, listen, whatever God put in your heart to do, do it. It might seem very like small and not important to you, but it's important to him because he can build on that thing. He will— I will honestly say that me being a therapist today has been a walk. It has been a journey. I did not wake up like this, okay? I started off very small with a seed, and that seed is starting to grow. My seeds are still growing. God is still, you know, watering my seeds, and my seeds are growing. And so with that being said, I don't care what it is that you do. It's important, okay? So I hope this t-shirt and this brand really encourages you to continue to do that, to do it for the kingdom, to do it for the kingdom, do it for the kingdom. So anywho, I don't want to talk your head off. I wanted to kind of give you a quick introduction into what my brand is about. Um, God has shown me some great things about this particular brand, um, that's to come. Um, I will work on that, um, as he sees fit, and I'll continue to build on it. Um, I do have, um, one thing I am going to do for sure that I'll share with you is that I will have a feature, um, every week. Hopefully I can start that sometime in November, maybe hopefully later than December, of people that I'm going to feature, um, who are doing it for the kingdom, people that are being overlooked, people that we don't often think about who are out here doing what it is that God has called them to do. So anywho, I'm gonna go ahead and go. I have to get back to work. I hope you guys have a great and a very blessed day. Thank you so much in advance for your support. Please like this video, please share this this video. Please share, um, the t-shirt so we can advance the kingdom of God. Have a great day. Bye-bye.
