It is a one-person Christian live teaching/sermon delivered by a host/prophetess speaking directly to viewers about the spiritual power of words and the need for believers to stop using profanity. The speaker cites scripture (notably James 3, Matthew 15, Ephesians 4:29, and Proverbs), shares personal testimony about leaving a former lifestyle and about ministering prayer to break word curses (including an anecdote referencing the name Shakeeta Torres), gives exhortation to repent, bridle the tongue, pray and fast, and closes with corporate prayer and benediction. Hello everyone, welcome to my Facebook Live today, YouTube Live, and my Instagram Live. Hello, hello, hello, happy Sunday! I hope that you guys had a great, great day, a great weekend. Um, I know that I've had a great weekend and just time to just rest in God's presence and spend time with my family and all that good stuff. And so this is my first time actually going live on the weekend, um, even on a Sunday for me, because typically, you know, weekend I'm working a little bit sometimes. Most of the time I'm not, but today I am showing up today as the Lord's mouthpiece and prophetess. I have a specific word that God gave me, um, this week to share with you all, and the topic of the word is God's heart concerning the words we use. So if you ever, um, seen me before give any kind of prophetic words, either on YouTube, Facebook, or anywhere else, I always have this story of how God begins to give me words to share with the body of Christ, okay? And so this time is no different. It's no different. So thank you all for those who are on, who are watching now. Um, stay, stay, you stay in. It's a word from God, but also there is, uh, encouragement, there's strategies, there's instructions and all that good stuff. Okay. And so with that being said, um, earlier this week, um, I was asleep. Okay. I think it was like about Tuesday night and I kept hearing in my spirit, in my ear, you know, what is the definition of a curse word, right? And so I said, okay God, I'm like, I hear you, but like, where are you going with it? So this is me in my sleep responding to God in my spirit, okay? So when I woke up, you know, I just wrote the word down, the question that Holy Spirit asked me, and kind of like left it at that. Because the next day I was busy— work, family, children, all of the above, okay? And so, um, earlier this week, maybe— well, actually yesterday The Lord reminded me again to look that up, okay? And so when I looked it up, for me, when God confirms that he wants me to share a word with someone or share, you know, it publicly, the weight of the word is so heavy that there is no question that I have that God wants me to share this word. But this word is for me to pursue, for me to study, for me to seek it out. And ask God what he wants me to say and do with that particular word, okay? And so with that being said, I looked up the word curse, right? I look it up because I know what it meant, but I went and thought it out even the more, all right? So the Lord began to minister to me about the body of Christ. This word is for the body of Christ, okay? And he said, many of my people have become very comfortable with using curse words. And I'm like, God, you're so right, because I'm active on social media. Over the years, I have definitely seen people who profess to know Christ use curse words and profanity all the time, okay? For some of them, it became a part of their language to the point where they aren't even aware of how much they're actually cursing. And when I hear that, my spirit get a little offended, to be honest. I'm like, okay, supposed to be a believer of God, and the word of God clearly tells us to be careful of our words and what we say, right? And so because cursing has become so normalized in society, some believers had taken that on too, as though it's okay to say what you want to say. And that's not— that's not of God. That's not true. That's not in the word of God. And so today the Lord is bringing about correction to the body authority of Christ for those who are cursing, using profanity carelessly. And so I'm going to go in the scripture, but before I do, I want to pray before I get into this word. So Father, I just thank you right now, God, for this day. Holy Spirit, I ask you, God, to go before me. Lord, help me to say what you want me to say, God, to your people. Holy Spirit, I even pray right now, God, for even deeper revelation. Holy Spirit, open up my ears to you, my heart to you, my mind to you, God. God, I am your vessel, Father. I belong to you, and I'm doing exactly what you're asking me to do. No matter what it looks like, no matter what it feels like, and no matter who wants to hear it, God. So God, I love you so very much. I'm honored to be your mouthpiece. I'm honored to be your daughter. And so Father, just speak through me and just have your way during this live on today. In Jesus' name I pray, amen. So, um, yesterday he said, I want you to go live and share this word with the body of Christ, okay? Because it's like, for God to even give me this word to share, that lets me know that it has become out of control, pretty much. All right, and so if you're just getting on now, um, the Lord put it on my heart to share a specific word about, um, profanity and using curse words as a believer. Okay, all righty, so let me go to scripture. So for me, for those of you who follow me, you know, pretty, pretty often, when I'm going live and sharing a teaching, I'm always looking at words, trying to define words on a deeper level, not just at the surface. Because for me, the more I understand something, the more I can internalize that thing, and the more I can teach it to other people. Okay, so today is no different. I'm going to go into detail and really just talk about the definition of the word curse or cuss. Okay, because oftentimes we might say, oh, she cussed me out, C-U-S-S-E-D, or curse me out, C-U-R-S-E-D, okay? And so honestly, they're, you know, they're the same, they're not different. And so when I looked it up, let me go here to my notes. The word cuss, C-U-S-S, means an annoying or stubborn person or animal, another term for curse, to use profanity, curse, or to swear. The word profanity means blasphemous or obscene language. The word blasphemous means sacrilegious against God or sacred things, and profane. It also means ungodly, unholy, and disrespectful. The word curse means this: a solemn utterance intended to invoke a supernatural power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something. Okay, some other words that mean curse is the evil eye, voodoo, hoodoo, hex, jinx, swear, profanity, blasphemy, vulgarity, and swearing. And the list goes on. So technically, whenever we are continuously using curse words against other people and other things, we're speaking these things onto people. And God is saying that, yeah, in this culture we are accustomed to that, but as a believer, that should be something that we should, you know, try to work on and tame. I remember when I first got into the things of God, God did what me heavily— I had to contend for things to be broken off of my life, y'all. It was not easy, but it's definitely doable, okay? I came out of the world where I was drinking, cursing, clubbing, having sex, and doing all of the above, okay? Just like most of you have, okay? And so I had to go through this dying to self process for me, and it was not easy. And I'll get into that a little bit more toward the end of today's live, okay? And so God wants us to be mindful of the words that we say because our words carry weight. Our words have the ability to curse a thing or bless a thing, okay? And so today I'll be coming from James chapter 3, verse, uh, this is verse 3— no, verse 1. All right, so it's so good, y'all. It's so good, so good. Says, not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly, okay? That is for me and for anyone else who profess to know Christ, to be a teacher, to, uh, to lead people. We are held at a higher standard, okay? A higher standard. Verse 2: We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who was never at fault in what they say is perfect and able to keep their whole body in check. So in other words, whatever we are cursing, you know, carelessly— of course we all stumble sometimes, we all slip up sometimes because we get upset or become angry, right? But repent in that moment. Ask God to forgive you. But for those of you who are continuously doing this without any kind of like conviction from the Lord, because what happens is, you know, you keep doing it over and over again, so God just give you over to it. He's okay, you don't want to hear me, you don't want to get in my word about you and your mouth and your tongue, that I give you over to that habit. All right. But today God is saying bring those habits to him so that way he can purify your heart and purify your tongue. We can't purify our tongue on our own, y'all. We just can't. You can try all you want to, but it will always come back up. All right, we need the Holy Spirit to help us to tame our tongues. Verse 3 says, when we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal, okay? The whole animal. Anyone, okay? Or take ship as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. So our tongue is a pilot, y'all. The Lord is using in scripture an example of And also, as you know, uh, you know, a picture of how powerful our tongue is. We have this whole ship, which is us, the world, other people, and the, in the words that we say out of our mouth has the power to turn things around. So if you have that power, use your power wisely. Be mindful of the words that you say over yourself and also over other people. Verse 5: Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boast. My God, consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. A small spark. Our tongue is so little. This member in our mouth is extremely small, but it carries so much power to steer us to the left or to the right, curse or bless. Okay. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. You— did you hear that? The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole courses of one's life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. Y'all, our tongue has so much power. Verse 7: All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind. Verse 8: But no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil full of deadly poison. Verse 9: With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings who have been made in God's likeness. Y'all hear that? The people you are cursing, no matter how mad you are with them, they are still made in God's likeness, and God still loves them and desires for them to come and repent and get things together.. And the words that we say impacts their lives. The word that we say impacts them, y'all. My God. Oh, can't wait to get into the last part, y'all. It's gonna be so good. Verse 10: Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11: Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring. And verse 12, my brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. Okay, and so again, James chapter 3 talks about taming our tongues, taming our tongues. Because if you just getting on now, the Lord is saying stop using curse words. Stop using profanity, stop cursing his people, stop cursing yourself, okay? Go to him, ask God for help in this particular area. And so, you know, I said earlier how I see people who profess to be Christians, they just, they say what they want to say, and it's like they had no shame about it. And for me, I don't understand that. I don't, I don't understand that. So James, um, chapter 1 says this: But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Deceiving yourself to make you think that it's okay to say what you want to say, what you want to say it, how you want to say it. 23: For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. My God. And verse 25, but he who looks into the perfect law of liberty, which is freedom, and continues in it, and it is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the word, of the word, this one will be blessed in what he does. And so here it is in scripture saying that we are doers of God's words, we will be blessed. If you go right now and you Google curse words in scripture, you know, in the Bible, you will see, oh my God, so many scriptures in the Bible that talks about the power of our words. Curse words is actually witchcraft, okay? I'm not going to sit here and go over every single curse word because you guys know, you guys are grown, you know what curse words are.. But if you don't, I encourage you to go look that up too as well. Even look up what those words actually mean, okay? It is not cute. It's like, it's like if you can't control your tongue, that mean that God can't trust you ultimately. That mean that God can't give you more. That mean that God cannot, you know, use you the way he desires to because of your tongue. Because of your tongue. Matthew 15:11 says this: What goes into someone's mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them. And once again, curse words— whether you're cursing out yourself, cursing out somebody else— you're literally sending witchcraft to that person's life, okay? And our words carry weight. Our words carry power. Okay, and so of course I know people get on our nerves, we become frustrated, all of the above, right? And the Lord says, be angry but sin not. So that means don't be cursing folk out in your head, in your heart, uh, to other people. Pray for them. This is what I do sometimes. I hardly ever get angry, angry, angry, but when I do, I get angry. Okay, and I'm like, God help me, Jesus help me, Lord. I'm like, God bless them, Lord bless them, because I have to say that because I understand that my words carry weight. I understand that my words have the power to destroy somebody. And like, if you don't care about doing that to people, then obviously you need to go to God and let God deal with your heart, because that is not— that's not normal. That is not normal for you to curse somebody and then actually mean it and not feel bad about it. That's a heart issue. That's a heart issue for me. If I get upset and my mind's going 100 miles per hour about somebody who's like trying to come against me, I feel bad. I'm like, Lord God, help me. God, help me just to pray for them, to intercede for them, to cover them. God, change their heart, Father. Father, deal with the issues of their heart. God, change them from the inside out. I'm praying for that person if they come against me. I'm praying for them. I'm praying for them because I know that God honors that, and I know God honors my prayers because my heart is sincere. As the word of God says up here, we all stumble and we all fall short. So when you find yourself doing that, you need to repent and ask God to help you, help you to speak blessings and not curses over people's lives. I cannot tell you how many times I had to pray for other people because of words someone put on them, curses. I remember one time my best friend— and I'm sure she don't mind if I share this today— she called me to see Shakeeta Torres. She was like, I'm just so hurt because someone in her family, you know, was like speaking against her, was cursing at her. I was saying that she'll never become anything, all these different things, right? And then that moment I said, no, man, was like the Spirit of God came upon me and I began to start praying. I break every word curse over your life right now in Jesus' name. I command every tongue that rises— I begin to pray. And Shakeeta Torres, oh my God, I felt something break in the spirit. Because what happens is you'd be thinking, oh my God, like, why my life like going like to the left? Like, why am I not blessed? Why am I, you know, not, you know, being successful? Because of word curses that people speak about you. And so even for me and my family, I pray for me and my family all the time. Any words spoken against me, my daughters, my husband, my destiny, my family, my children, break it right now in Jesus' name. Because I understand the power of words. Okay, so if you are in environments or you know someone has cursed you out or cursed you, don't even like you, you need to pray over yourself. Pray over yourself. Pray over your family. Pray over your future. Pray over your destiny. Because words carry weight. Word. I'm in a place in my life now where I have to be extra careful what I say. Or even think, because God would deal with me. He actually— he's like, daughter, I'm like, okay, God, help me, Jesus, help me, help me, God. And there's people who come against me. I see that. I see it in the spirit. They're like plotting against me. And I'm like, God, I'm tired of this, Lord. I ain't do anything wrong. And God said, pray for them. And I still gotta be nice to them because God ultimately wants to transform that person into what his likeness, uh, into his image, to receive Christ. If we fight hate with hate, then guess what you're gonna get? You're gonna get hate back. But there's so many things in the Bible that talks about how being a peacemaker is what God desires more than anything. Now, I'm not saying that if somebody hits you, don't hit them back. That ain't what I'm saying. Don't defend yourself. I mean, like, you know, don't defend yourself. What I'm saying is, like, Pray about it. When someone come up against you, go to God. God, what you want me to do, Lord? And I promise you, God will speak to you. God will speak to you about it. Ephesians 4:29 says this: Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Proverbs 13:3, my favorite. Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life. He who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. Proverbs 15:4, the soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit. And I even share Another example from my own self before, where, you know, I had every right to correct someone on how they were behaving towards me, and to a point where I was like, I'm sick of this. And so I was going to say something to them, and I'm like, okay God, what you want me to say? And God said, if you say something to them right now, you will crush their spirit. And I'm like, oh my God, the last thing I want to do is crush anybody's spirit. I don't care who they are. And you should be the same way. You shouldn't desire to curse somebody because guess what? Once again, they, they are made in God's likeness. And so I see believers in the body of Christ who are so careless with your tongue, careless with curse words, careless with gossip even. And God is saying, enough, enough, enough, enough. Pray for one another, encourage each other. Take it to the Lord. If you need to go on a fast, fast about it. Pray about it. Read the word of God about your tongue and curse words. You were sending witchcraft to people's lives with curse words, okay? So repent, repent, repent. And so also, it's a scripture that I love too I didn't put up here that came to my spirit was, uh, in the book of Proverbs. So as a man thinketh, so is he. And so what comes out of our mouths is really a reflection of our own hearts. So whenever you're saying different things carelessly, that's in your heart towards people, towards God's people. Okay, so you guys, that's all I have for tonight. I know we're gonna be here too long, but I do want to say a prayer, prayer for you all, prayer for us and the body of Christ to, you know, really surrender our tongues to him and what we say and how we say it. And so, Father, I just thank you right now for your word. Holy Spirit, I pray that, God, you were pleased. I pray, God, that people have received what you're— um, have received, Holy Spirit, what you want them to hear. My God, I pray, God, that your people will go before you and search their hearts. Oh God, bring their hearts before you as David did time and time and time and time again, because none of us are perfect. Holy Spirit, help us, oh Lord God, to bridle our tongues. Help us, oh Lord God, to speak life people and not death. Holy Spirit, help us, God, to not be conformed by this world, Lord God, but God, to be transformed by you. Holy Spirit, help us, God, to continue to be the light, to, to continue to be an example for other people. Holy Spirit, I ask you, Holy Spirit, God, to help everybody who's battling any unforgiveness or hurt or resentment from people who have hurt them. My God, heal their hearts, God, from the inside out. Holy Spirit, we invite you into every area, into our hearts, into our minds, into our spirits, into our day. Holy Spirit, shed a light on things in our hearts that may be dark. God, I pray, God, for every evil word spoken against your people. God, it's broken right now in Jesus' name. Father, I ask you, Holy Spirit, to restore them, restore their heart, restore their mind, restore their spirit, God, back to life. So God, I speak life, God, into every single person who's on right now, who will come back on later, Lord God, that God, they will seek after you with a whole heart, God, and that God, they will be a, um, not only be a hearer of your word, but be a doer of your word and be an example. Because God, it's about kingdom, it's about souls who need to be saved. God, it's not about us, it's not about, you know, being here, but we need to rise up, God, and grow into spiritual maturity, Holy Spirit. And so Father God, I ask you, God, just to be with them, God. Give them strength, give them stamina, Holy Spirit. Breathe on them afresh, God. Breathe on their mind and their hearts, Lord. In Christ's name I pray, Lord. Amen and amen. Thank you all for who, um, got on and watched. I pray this word— I know it's correction, it's a word of correction, but more than anything, I pray that it edified you and caused you to look in the mirror and let God examine your heart, because God gonna take, take you from faith to faith into glory to glory. Thank you all for watching, and I will see you guys next time. So I'mma end, see, on here.
