Hello! Hi!
Hi! So we're just gonna have a short little snippet, a little nugget for the evening. So we're going to be talking about marriage, it's the point of the group, and coming from Ephesians 6:25. I'm reading from— this is the King James Version, making sure we have Numerous Bibles. So, husbands, love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. Very important. He that loveth his wife loveth himself, for no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourished it— yeah, and cherished it, even as the Lord the church. For we are members of the body of his flesh and his bones. So men, let me put this down here. So saying that she is our responsibility, the wife, our spouse, our better half, our rib, however you want to put it. So she's our responsibility. We have to understand that they are on loan from God to us. So we have to answer to God about this wonderful specimen that we pledged in front of congregations. We had an oath, however you want to word it. We have— we signed up for this, saying, I will cherish, love, and supply everything that she needs, just like Christ did the church. So it's simple. Just as you wash yourself, make sure you're presentable, you have to make sure she's taken care of. So, anything you would like to say?
Yes, um, I just want to add that I feel well taken care of. I definitely can tell that my husband loves me the way that Christ loves the church, and it's very, very beautiful, and I feel very secure. I know a lot of times that women, um, do have a hard time like letting their guards down with their husbands because they feel like their husband don't really cherish them. And I really love them. But my husband was saying the word of God says that men should love the wives the way Christ loves the church.
Amen.
That's a big deal. That's, that's huge. That's huge. And also, I can't remember the scripture, but it also says for wives to respect your husbands. Um, so men— I can definitely say that my husband loves the fact that I respect him more than anything. I love him more than anything, but I also respect him. Because if a man don't feel respected they don't feel like they're appreciated or feel like they're being loved. So it's two sides to it, and it all on him, it's not all on me. Um, and so yes, I do say for men to start there. Love your wife the way Christ loved the church. You want to see her change, you want to see her transition, you want to see her submit to you, if you want to see her, you know, just take care of you all in different kind of ways, I said love her the way Christ loved the church. So it makes it so much easier for for me to submit to my husband because I know he loves me the way God loves us.
Of course, it didn't necessarily start off that way, but, uh, I discovered a love triangle. It's wife, husband, and Christ is the top. And as we each grow in our love for God, we come together. So the closer you get to God individually, the better you get together. So it's a teamwork. So if you have one spouse pulling or going further in Christ than you are, you get one of those acute triangle or one of those other types of triangles. It's not a normal one. It starts getting like elongated in the wrong way. So it's better to do it together and be on the same accord. So that's just a little nugget. We'll expand on it here weekly. So hope everyone has a great day, great evening, whenever you're watching. Just be blessed and love your spouse.
Bye. Take
