Prophetic Vision and Interpretation: Use Your Authority and Stay in Your Word

Shakeeta Torres shares a multi-part vision about a tornado, two prophetesses, and her older self, then interprets it for believers. She urges prophets and young ministers to know Scripture, exercise spiritual authority in prayer, repent of sin, and use God's Word as a weapon against spiritual threats.

Good morning, good morning, good morning! Welcome back to my YouTube channel. My name is Shakeeta Torres and I'm here today to release a prophetic word that God has given me for his people. I'm very excited about the word because how he gave it to me was just so powerful and beautiful as always. So, um, first let me just explain that, um, the primary way that God speaks to me is through visions and through dreams. Um, for— oh my God— for at least 10 to 12 years. I know God told me that before that, before I gave my life back to him, um, about 12 years ago, 13 years ago, um, he said that I had a lot of visions and dreams, but because of my history of trauma, my history of being in a very, um, chaotic environment, the enemy kind of stole that, um, stole that for me. And so it was kind of like muffled. And I just remember a lot of times when I was younger Feeling like I had like déjà vu, like I feel like I'm living this moment again that I saw previously. So pretty much what that was, I would have visions and dreams about it when I was younger, but not really realize that what I saw in my dreams and visions were like literally coming to pass in the natural. And so yes, God has called me to be his messenger. God's called me to, um, so many things, and I'm humbled and I'm excited, and I just want to please the Lord, and I just want to do what he asked me to do. So with that being said, let me go back to my dream. So Saturday night into Sunday morning, I had a very clear vision. So I'm gonna tell you about the vision first, and then I'm gonna break it down to what God is saying to the body of Christ. So my vision, um, I was walking into, um, not into, but in a building on like the 13th or 14th floor. This is a huge, huge building, like a building you will see somewhere in Charlotte or Raleigh, or, you know, a big city type building. And so, um, it was me and two other people were walking, um, towards, I guess, a conference room maybe somewhere. And so, um, I looked to my left and, you know, I'm on the 13th or 14th floor, so when you're looking out the window, you can see everything. You can see so many buildings, you can see the sky, you can see the clouds, you can see all that, right? And so I look and I see a tornado that was forming in the air. This tornado was huge, okay? The tornado did not touch the ground yet, but I saw it forming. I said, hold up, wait, you guys, we're gonna pray. So I began to pray and just ask God to cease the storm. I began to speak to the storm, and, and the storm actually, it went away, okay? So I'm walking into the conference room with the two women, and other women are in the room, and they're like I mean, I know you prayed and everything. They were like, but it's going to come back, this one's going to come back. And I'm like, no, it's not. I'm like, I already prayed and I believe what God— I believe that what I prayed, God heard it and God answered my prayer. So that's the first part of my dream. So the second part of my dream, um, I saw two women and I want to say I was kind of like on the outside looking in. And so the two women were speaking and, um, one of them women told the other woman She's like, you need to be reading your word and you need to be spending time with God. And the woman was a prophet, both of them were prophets. And the prophet woman looked at her like she was crazy, like, I don't read my word, I don't read my word. And I was like, how in the world is she not reading her word and she professing to be a prophet? Okay, so that's part 2. So part 3, um, was, um myself. I was like looking in the mirror, and I am the age that I am now, and I'm looking in the mirror and I see a much older woman. And the woman looked like she might have been like in her 50s maybe, um, and she was standing— like, I, which was the woman as well, was standing in like a very like distinguished, confident look, like, yeah, I'm good. You know, like she was proud. She was very proud, and she looked like she was full of wisdom and like she was just full of so much grace and authority, um, and confidence in the Lord. So anyway, that's the 3 parts of my dream. So each part has a different meaning. Um, so the first part about the tornado, um, I woke up the next morning, I began to say, God, what does this mean? What are you showing me? And the dream about the tornado, he told me, he said, my people had little faith. He said, my people, they have, you know, a habit of not using their authority. He said they're not using their authority as a believer to tell the storms that are coming their way to cease, to cease. For whatever reason, I don't know if it's because of, you know, your lack of reading the word, your lack of prayer time with God, your lack of confidence. Um, you may feel like you're not you don't have the authority and power. You may feel like, um, you know, God, like, why me? Um, the enemy comes to condemn you because of unconfessed sins or things you've done wrong in your past, and you feel like you're not worthy of using what God has given you. Once you receive salvation and Christ into your heart, you have authority. You have authority. And, um, the link at the bottom, I'm going to post a book for you guys if you want to check it out. It's by Kenneth Hagin. It's called The Believer's Authority. The believer's authority. It doesn't say the prophet's authority. It doesn't say the evangelist's authority. The passage says the believer's authority. Believers, meaning all of us. All of us have authority. You don't have to be dependent on someone else, um, to speak to your storms. And so tornado also means biblically— when I look at it, I said, God, what does tornado mean? I know I had an idea, but I wanted to be very clear. And tornado means like a time to pray, like an urgency to pray. So when you see these things coming, your first response would be, I need to pray. I need to pray and seek God and ask God, okay God, I'm praying against this storm. Show me how to deal with this thing. Show me what, you know, give me, um, understanding and give me knowledge. Give me wisdom, God. Show me. Your storm could be anything. Your storm can be, you know, drama on your job. You know, your storm could be a spouse is acting up. Your drama could be, you know, things not going right within your family dynamics. Your storm could be anything, and God is saying speak to your storm. Speak to your storm. Use the word of God. Jesus did it all the time, and he spent numerous, numerous times trying to explain to the disciples to use your authority. They didn't get it. You know, if you ever read any of the books— Mark, you know, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John— these are the life of Jesus Christ. And in each book, each book has very similar stories in it, but each book is written by a different author on their perspective. Of what happened when Christ was here on earth, okay? So I do want to go a little bit and share some, um, word with you as far as, um, in the Bible for you to understand, you know, what God is saying, okay? So the first thing I want to share, if you are able to— if you're not, go back and read it, I'll post the scriptures too as well, um, at the bottom of my video. So Matthew, um, chapter 8, um, this is verse 23. And I'm using— I'm reading from the NIV version. I have KJV and I have other versions, but NIV is the one that I primarily read. And I read the other ones if I need to have more understanding or clarity on what the word or scripture means. So 8:23 says, then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake so that the waves swept over the boat. Okay, the waves trying to take them out. On the boat. But Jesus was sleeping, and the disciples went and woke him, saying, 'Lord, save us!' He said, 'Lord Jesus, save us! We're going to drown!' Okay, so Christ replied, 'You of little faith, why are you so afraid?' Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was, it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, 'What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him.' So Jesus spoke to the storm, okay? So I hope you guys understand that when Christ left the earth, right, and he went up to glory to be with the Father at the right hand of God, he left us the Holy Spirit, which is also our power and authority as well, in that to be able to speak to these storms, to be able to speak to these mountains. Okay, so the next, um, verse, um, chapter I want to go to is, uh, Mark chapter 11. Matthew, bear with me. Okay, Mark chapter 11, and we're going to begin, um, at verse 12 to verse 14, okay? And then I'm going to pick back up at verses, um, 20 to 25. All right, so Mark 11, verse 12 says, the next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree who was not producing any fruit, 'May no one ever eat fruit from you again.' And his disciples heard him say it. Okay, so moving right along, they're still going about and they're ministering. And so then when they're going back to from where they came, um, in verse 20 it says, in the morning as they went along they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, Rabbi, look, the fig tree you cursed has withered. Jesus said, have faith in God. He said, truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in your heart but believe that, that, that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them so that your Father in heaven may forgive you and your sins. So as I was saying before, you might have unconfessed sin that's hindering you from using your authority. And as I said before, you might be having unconfessed, you know, things in your heart um, about yourself as well that is preventing you from using your authority. So get that right. Repent and say, God, forgive me. Holy Spirit, give me a new mindset. Holy Spirit, help me to think better. Help me to have a mindset of Christ. Okay, don't make it hard. Just take it to God. He already knows about it. He already knows. He already knows. And so in here, I love how Jesus used the fig tree as an example. The disciples didn't get it at first, but what he was teaching them was that you have power in your mouth. You have power on the— on your tongue to be able to speak to a thing and it shall be. Believe it. He said believe it. He said believe it and it shall be. Believe it. Believe it and it shall be. Okay, I love that. That right there blessed me because when I read it, I was like, victory? What are you talking about? Victory? He spoke. Okay, oh, I got it. Revelation. So yes, okay, so the next part I want to to tell you as well. So another scripture, you know, to go along with that will be, you know, Proverbs chapter— hold on, just had it up here, my computer— um, Proverbs, um, chapter 18, verse 21. Okay, uh-oh. And it says Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. And so I got the first part, it says death and life are the power of the tongue, right? So you have authority in your mouth, right? Then it says, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. So if you're speaking life into something, you're going to have fruit of that life. If you're speaking death into something, then you're going to have fruit of death. Things are going to die in your life, okay? So you have power to speak to it. Speak— speaking to your spouse, speaking to your children, speaking to your ministry, speaking to your career, speaking to whatever it is that you want to speak life into. Speak life. Don't speak death. Speak life. Speak it, okay? You have the authority to even control your atmosphere. Pray over your atmosphere. I tell people all the time that I work with who have issues in their life, I'm like, pray, uh, pray, pray, seek God, pray, pray about that. God, change my atmosphere. So anywho, I want to get to the next part. All right, and then, um, also Matthew, uh, chapter 17, it's the next one. Matthew 17, uh, verse 14. Actually, I'm going to go to, um, verse 20. So it says he replied, because, because in this particular, um, passage, um, Jesus was healing. He healed a demon-possessed boy, and the disciples tried to heal him, but they couldn't do it. So they had to call on Jesus. So he did it, and they were like, well, Jesus, we don't understand, like, why are you able to cast out this demon? We can't do that. So he replied, because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. Wow. So I just see time and time again he's trying to teach the disciples about faith, about authority, about speaking life. Okay, so that— oh, that bless me, that, that blessed me. Okay, so it's a reminder for me to always speak life, to speak life as well. So please understand that when I'm teaching this word to you, I'm eating it for myself first. When I first got this word, I began to study it and have Holy Spirit to break this down for me. I was like, oh Jesus, it feels so good and refreshing because the word of God, it will refresh you if you let it. It'll refresh you, okay? And also, you know, without faith it is impossible to please God. That's the scripture as well. It's in Romans, and I have to look up that verse for you, but I can't remember the exact, um, chapter, but I know it's in Romans, okay? All right, so the next part of the word is what I said earlier about the two prophets and about how the one prophet said that she doesn't read her word, okay? And it's interesting because I know that in Probably like in waking life, in the natural, a person is not going to like fully confess that they don't read their word. They're not going to do that. So what God was showing me was their heart, the issues of their heart, okay? They didn't say it with their mouth, but it's in their heart. But in my dream, I saw it as it's— I saw it as it coming out of her mouth. And so what God is saying to his prophet specifically, if you know that the Lord has called you into the prophetic office, you have a prophetic ministry, or you desire to have this kind of ministry, um, you have to read your word. The word of God is your lifeline. The word of God, it corrects you, the prophet. The word of God edifies you, the prophet. And so whenever God is using you to give a word to people You are the first partaker, okay? You're the first partaker. And not only that, how can you effectively give someone a word or speak into their life, whether it's by correction, rebuke, edification, all those good things, and you don't know your word? Okay, I have been walking in my calling, as far as I know, for about 10 years, and You know, when I first— when I was a baby in Christ, I had a really hard time reading my word because I didn't understand it. So if that's the case for you, that's okay. You can ask God to help you with revelation. But in my dream, the person I saw had pride, like pride, like, oh, I know it, you know, God could speak to me without me having to read a word. That is inaccurate. Can he use you and speak to you? Yes, he can. Yeah, he did it for me. A long time. But guess what? Out of all the dreams I had when I was a babe in Christ and I didn't know my word where I needed to, or how to really rightly divide the word— oh my God, I struggled with trying to interpret it. I messed up a lot, okay? I thank God that in the beginning he really gave me like, you know, very simple dreams. But there were times when I had very intense, very complex dreams that I just wrote down and left them in my journal because I did not know how to, you know, properly interpret it. And I didn't have anybody around me at that time to even help me interpret my dreams. So I sat on a lot of things because I didn't know my word. Partially that was my fault, and partially I do blame the church a little bit because, you know, that's a long— I'm not gonna— that's, that's in the past, you know. I know better now. But they really didn't teach us how to really break down the word and how to rightly divide the word of truth. Okay, so I had to go through a season where I was in my word like a lot, and I had to pray and cry out to God. God, help me to really understand how to break down your word, because it's mentally overwhelming to try to understand what you're saying. And sometimes I read a passage, I'm like, oh God, I didn't get that, it's over my head. But then I have to sit with it, have to let him, you know, show me and give me revelation. That's the same thing with the prophets, you know, his prophets, all his prophets. You have to read your word, okay? Let me, um, go to Hebrews chapter 12. That's where, um, the first thing the Holy Spirit was speaking to me. And not only that, now when I have dreams you know, or I'm speaking to people because I'll tell you the word constantly, consistently. The word of God come out my heart. It just comes up out of nowhere without it, not out of my spirit. It comes, it comes up. So I'm able to give them a word based on the word of God. And because I see so much, I have so many dreams and visions, I'm able to— okay, I see the vision of my dream, okay, so I'm able to sit down, okay, where can I find this in scripture? I'm looking for the word to interpret, the word of God. Okay, this is Hebrews chapter 4, and it says, for the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. That's, that's powerful. It penetrates even, even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. So when I read that, as a person, what it's saying is that when I read the word, the word gonna correct me, the word's gonna edify me, the word is gonna give me instructions for my life, the word's gonna give me peace, the word is gonna ground me spiritually. And when you don't read your word, you miss all those things. You miss all those things, okay? At one point in my life, I was so spiritual because that's the very first thing that, you know, I was exposed to was the spiritual realm. You know, I would feel things, I would sense things. I didn't really understand what was going on with me. I thought I was going crazy, okay? And so I was so spiritual, but I didn't have enough word, word in me to help me to discern what it is that I'm feeling and what I'm sensing. So as I've grown over the years and I allow God to, to really just, you know, grow me up and mature me, now I'm better at what I— I know what I see for the most part, I know what I feel for the most part because I'm in my word and I'm spending time with him, you know. And plus fasting is a big bonus too, fasting. So I'll do a different, um, video about fasting later, but right now I want to really release what God has, um, given me for the body of Christ. And so yes, what he showed me was his prophets, but please understand that this word is applicable to anybody, to any believer who desires for God to use them. But I know for someone to say, oh, I'm this, whatever mantle God has given you, you need to be in your word. Because I— oh Jesus, I've seen so many people who profess to be, who be, be this and be that, but I can clearly discern that your spirit is not in the right place. And I'm not saying having an off day, or, you know, you're not, you know, understanding a certain part of the Bible. That's not what I'm saying. But I can tell that you're like walking in this daily and that you walking in pride. The word of God will break down your pride. The word of God will humble you. The word of God will show you you. It will show you you first. Will show you anybody else. It will show you you. Okay. So let's go. And so the thing, when I was reading that, what came to my spirit as well was Ephesians, okay? Um, this is the armor of God, and I, you— I take the scripture a lot because I know from day to day I deal with stuff, and, um, I try my best to remember to say that, that I read this scripture. And I went through a season where I had to read it every single day because I was getting attacked left and right. Okay, the armor of God. And when I said this prayer, oh my God, oof, I felt the shield around me. You hear me? Okay, so this is, um, Ephesians chapter 6. And so, you know, it reads and said that, you know, put on the whole armor of God, right? I'm not going to read the whole entire thing, but talks about how you're, you know, not wrestling against flesh and blood, but you wrestling against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, and so forth and so forth, right? So you go down to, um, Ephesians chapter 6. Okay, darkness, everyone all day. Okay, gospel peace. I'm sorry, uh, make me understand. So here it is. So, um, verse 17, it says, and take the helmet of salvation, okay, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. So your sword is the word of God. And what is your sword used for? To slice and dice the kingdom of darkness in prayer and fasting and reading your word. And your sword is the word of God. As I was saying before, back again, Hebrews chapter 4, verse 12: For the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. That's what the word of God does for us. That just blessed me. The Holy Spirit just gave me that. Oh, thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Okay, so let me make sure. Okay, so read your word. The next part, you know, I know that I saw myself, okay? So let me be very honest with you guys. And so, um, whenever I first gave my life to Christ, it was like an explosion for me. That's when my vision and dreams were like, oh, I can't explain it, you guys. It was just like I was lit. It was lit, okay? And I was like, what in the world? I'm seeing all this stuff and I'm feeling all these things because it was like I allowed God back into my life, into my heart fully this time, and he reignited the anointing that was on my life, okay? And so, um, with that being said, I was young. I was like, uh, like 21, 22. And, um, I'll tell you my age. I don't mind sharing my age with you guys. I'll be 35 in, um, August, okay? I'm so excited about my birthday coming up, okay? So I used to feel so, um, like less than. And a lot of times people who were much older than me would make me feel like I didn't know enough, or feel like that, you know, what I had to say, um, wasn't, um, important or valid. Um, even now, like, I noticed that whenever the Lord uses me to give someone who was older than me, like in their 50s and 60s, a word, a lot of times the word of correction. But I live with and love you guys, I promise you I do. I know that I do. And they don't really receive it because they think that because I'm much younger than them, that God can't use me for them. Or, and maybe it's because they, you know, it's pride, you know. And so, and when I saw myself in the mirror, I know God was showing me that in the natural I look young, in the natural, you know, I'm youthful, but in the spirit I'm wise beyond my years. In the spirit, I, you know, I'm mature. I'm a very mature believer. Um, I know that I am, that I am. Okay, so with that being said, I know this is some of the same things that people who are even younger than me deal with from day to day. Um, I had a particular client that I know what God has called her to do, and she knows it too, and she is so fearful of stepping out and moving forward because the people who are already in that department that God's calling her to work in are much older than her. And she said they already act like people who were younger aren't this, you know, aren't as wise as they are, or doesn't know as much as they should know. Okay, um, and that's dangerous. That's very dangerous because my daughter corrects me. She's 8 years old. Okay. My daughter is 8 years old and God has used her for me so many times, so many times. God has led her, used her to lead me into prayer, um, to read a particular chapter, a particular verse, um, say, Mama, you shouldn't watch that on TV. I'm telling you guys, like, God can use anybody. And how dare I make her feel like that what she has to say is not important, what she has to— and what she sees is not important. I'm her mother, and I tell her to respect me and to show respect her mom, and she does. She respects me and her father. Um, but I'm not gonna put her down for giving me a word of correction. You know what I do? I get somewhere and sit down. My baby, you right, mommy sorry. And that's it. That's it. And not only that, whenever God uses you to give you— give a word to someone that's, you know, older, it's not your responsibility to make sure they get it. Your responsibility is to release it, pray, pray for them first, first, first and foremost, pray for them, um, release it and do it in love. That's it. I had to learn that, you know, one man, um, sows the seed, one man waters, and one— and God gets the increase, he gets the glory. So it's their responsibility to take the word and take it to God and get more revelation and clarity about what he is saying And a lot of times I know that when God uses me to give somebody a word of correction, especially, it's because he's already been trying to deal with them for a while, but they're not listening, you know. Um, not listening for several reasons: because they're too busy, they're not listening because they don't want to change, they're not listening because, you know, they're caught up in whatever it is that they're doing, um, the enemy has, has them blinded and thinking that they're doing the right thing. And is it easy for me? No, it's not. And so when someone is professing, oh my gosh, you know, I'm a prophet, or I'm a subdad, I'll be like, girl, you know what that means? Do you know what that means? An honor and a privilege and a joy to serve the Lord in that capacity. Um, for me it is, but it comes with persecution, it comes with responsibility, and it's not, it's not always easy, okay? But our ultimate goal is to please— it's is to please God. So I urge young people who are young— I don't care how old you are— to let God use you. Don't be afraid. And so I urge you to read, um, the story about Timothy. So, okay, so 1 Timothy chapter 4. Let me, um, take you guys there. All right, so you know that Paul was pretty much Timothy's spiritual father and his apostle. So, um, in, um, 1 Timothy chapter 4, verse 12, it says— this is Paul telling this to Timothy, who's a young pastor in the church, okay? He's young with people who are older than him, the elders, the leaders, and all that good stuff, right? He said, don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Okay, until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of scripture, to preaching, and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift which was given you— given to you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. So yes, yeah, yeah. And so there are other people in the Bible who God used at a young age, um, mightily. And so I'm going to post some of— some of those, um, verses as well at the bottom of the, um, video. Okay, um, so some of the people that he used were, you know, of course Timothy, Joseph, Ruth, Samuel, David. Uh, he used some of these, and these are not all of them by far. And sometimes these are like hidden gems in scripture that we don't always pay attention to, um, as to the people's ages and who they were. But I'm sure there's a whole lot more people in here, guys, you guys, that God used to, you know, advance his kingdom, okay? And so, um, that's all that I have for you guys today concerning this word that God gave me. Um, I pray that, um, above all, that you get understanding. I pray above all that you seek God and you ask the Lord, Lord, examine my heart. God, show me if there's any areas, um, where this word has touched upon me and that I need to work on. Um, understand that change comes when you allow the Holy Spirit to come in your heart and to change you and transform you. Being a believer is a constant walk. It's a daily walk. We're constantly, you know, learning, constantly reading his word. I always tell my clients that I see, people that I minister to, that the word of God is like a river, okay? It is an ongoing river that never stops. It never runs dry. And each scripture has revelation upon revelation upon revelation upon revelation. I was listening to this lady last night on YouTube. I kind of came across her channel and I was like, she kind of, you know, caught my attention. And, um, she was, uh, really, um, interpreting, um, a scripture that I had read a few months ago. And I was like, God, I did not get all that. So what she's saying, I'm like, wow, God, that is a— that is a real word right there. That's a real revelation that God gave her. And he could do it for any of us. So what I'm saying is you can read one scripture today, you might have understanding of it. You can read it again the next day or a week from now, a year from now, or however long it takes you to get back to that particular scripture and get more revelation. Like, you got— I'm constantly learning something new when I read the word. I never get like just bored. When I say bored, meaning that I, I just always want something new to learn. So never stop, never stop learning. Um, never stop, um, allowing God to perfect your gifts. Um, never stop allowing God into your heart because, you know, we live in the world, God, you guys, where there's temptation, where there's things that's trying to get our attention and distract us. And the word of God keeps us grounded. It keeps me grounded. If I go out reading my word for, for a couple days or 3, 4 days, um I feel it. I feel it. I really do. So, um, once again, um, thank you so much for watching. Um, please, um, share, like, subscribe, all those good things. Until next time, see you again. Bye-bye.
