Season 2 (Episode 13): Giving Birth to Something New

In this episode of the Pain, Passion, and Purpose podcast, host Shakeena Torres promotes her Empowered Purpose Academy community and paid membership before interviewing guest Tasha Askew, creator of the Soul Healing Experience. Tasha shares the painful breakup of a five‑year relationship that forced her to confront a blended identity tied to career, ambition, and titles. She describes how red‑flag awareness, codependency, and a renewed hearing of the Holy Spirit guided her toward surrender, forgiveness, and a deeper relationship with God. The conversation moves into practical healing tools—grieving the loss of a false self, embracing joy as a spiritual weapon, and undertaking soul‑surgery to address root wounds such as shame, rejection, fear, and people‑pleasing. Tasha also reveals her passion for kingdom‑focused midwifery, womb health, and teaching the gifts of the Holy Spirit, outlining her programs, books, and the in‑person "Dangerously Awake Daughters of the King" weekend. Throughout, both hosts intersperse promotional segments for healing anointing oil, books, and courses, while encouraging listeners to trust the Holy Spirit, avoid vengeance, and pursue purpose after pain. The episode ends with a brief mention of Tasha’s upcoming engagement and a call to action for subscriptions and support.

Thank you, thank you for having me.
Of course, of course.
Listen, I love your profile on Instagram.
I love what you're about. Your story is amazing. How you deliver content to the people, to me, is just so beautiful and relatable. And understand, I understand it very well, so I know everybody else, they should too. So I look forward to, um, our conversation today. And so I want to give you the floor, and please share with the audience a particular pain point in your life that changed you forever.
Mm, the way you said that, it was just like so powerful, changed me forever. Um, I would say that the particular instance that stands out to me the most would be a romantic relationship. Um, and it was a long-term romantic relationship, I mean several years, um, 5 years to be exact. And during that relationship, or towards the end of it, he decided that he wanted to be— get engaged to another woman. And so while we were in a relationship— and so that was pivotal for me because it really was a shocker to my core. And it forced me to see myself very bare, very vulnerably. So that I could understand and even get on the path of discovery of who I truly am at my core.
Wow. So what were some things like in the relationship that you felt like you— that, you know, you lost? Because like what I'm hearing is that I lost myself in the relationship. So what are some things that you felt like you lost within the relationship?
I would say, and you absolutely hit it on the head, because what I've learned is that the dangerous part of all of that is a lot of times when you are in a relationship and it's so intimate in terms of emotionally intimate, you don't realize how much you have blended your identity until you're forced to separate identities. And so it was beautiful in that I was able to have the opportunity to return back to who I truly am. And in that, I would say, looking back on it, I don't think I lost anything of value to me. I think I lost who I wasn't that I thought I was.
Yeah.
So the meshed identity was someone that I had grown familiar to think that, okay, this is me and this person comes with all of, you know, I come with all of these accolades and I come with all of these different titles and I come with, you know, there was so much accomplishment tied to who I am individually. And then when I was in that relationship, there were a lot of other things that compounded for me to really arrive at the conclusion that, okay, this is who I am. But once, you know, the ending happened, I was forced to see, you know what, I'm not my career title. I'm not this position that I've had. I'm not the amount of money that I have. I'm not, you know, all of these different things that I have accomplished in the past. You know, I'm not my ambition. So it helped me to lose that identity that I thought was me. In the process, if that makes sense. It didn't lose— I didn't lose anything that was valuable to me.
I get what you're saying. So you almost— it's like what you're saying is that your identity was so tied into what you accomplished, and it sounds like maybe his was too. So was this something that you guys both, like, fed off of and valued within the relationship?
I wouldn't necessarily say that it was something that we both fed off of. I think for me, it was something that camouflaged everything else that I didn't address. So because I was so very accomplished and ambitious and had so many titles and different things, um, I wasn't even able to see when our identities started meshing because I thought, no, you know, I have my career, I'm my own woman, and I have this, and I'm my own person. You know, I had different things that would, on the outside, symbolize that she's a very achieved and individualistic woman. Like, she is independent. She's doing things on her own. But that was, in and of itself, a guise that kind of covered up the fact that our identities had meshed. Mm-hmm.
At any point in a relationship, Did you and him discuss any of that? Like, because in my mind, I'm thinking as a woman from the outside looking in, right? I understand exactly what you're saying. What were some of the red flags that you probably ignored to signal that, hey, this is not healthy, or hey, you know, this is not going to work?
Yeah, that's a good question. There absolutely were red flags. Absolutely. Um, and I would say even more so, holy— because I hear from Holy Spirit very clearly. Um, and of course I'm in a different stage of my development now than I was then, but one thing that's always remained consistent is my hearing is very clear. And so, um, it's just that at this stage in my life, I'm much more surrendered and humble and obedient to what Holy Spirit tells me to do. Whereas back then, he would tell me something, I'm like, I know, but I could kind of like, yeah, I was over there finagling and finessing things.
Um, but yeah, there were absolutely—
I remember a time where Holy Spirit showed me that I was codependent on him.
Yeah.
And I was like, codependent?
Like, what is that?
I started researching, I was like, wow.
This is different.
This is very different, you know. But even still, it was the heart posture, you know, the fact that I wasn't fully submitted or surrendered to Holy Spirit. I hadn't, um, I hadn't denied who I was for the sake of following him, following Holy Spirit, I mean. Um, and so Yeah, there's def— there's always red flags, always red flags.
And I love what you said because despite what we may try to say, oh, I didn't know, I didn't, um, find it, that's never the case.
Yeah, I absolutely knew. I absolutely knew.
When I look back in my life of being disobedient or running ahead of God or whatever the case may be, I'm like, oh God, yeah, yeah. That, that, you know, that was a red flag, or that was going on, you know, I had this intuition, or this— yes, my spirit, that something wasn't right, but I ignored it, right? Yeah. I find that oftentimes, like, women— and you, I'm sure you see this too— we become so, like, desperate to get into a relationship. Society pressures us to get married, to we should have kids by now, we should have all these different things. And so in our mind, we make up this, like, fantasy of what our life should look like, what our spouse should look like, how we should be living, and all those different things. So did you find yourself in that same position back then in that relationship?
You know what, ironically, I would say no, because I wasn't— I was such a career-focused woman That it was nice that, that he was there, and it was nice that, um, you know, we'd had this relationship for a while, and— but that wasn't my focus in terms of, okay, you know, I have in my mind this wedding, and I have in my mind like how many children we're gonna have. Like, nowhere in my mind was that in my purview. My focus was always on my career and the The danger in that is, you know, when you have other soul-level issues that you haven't worked through and then you compound that with career and ambition, and in a society that really touts independent woman, you know, it's, it's a, it's an equation for disaster and destruction. And so that's where my focus was at the time instead of you know, like, oh, okay, I can see us doing this and having this type of family. It was more so on, okay, in what other ways can I level up in my career and in my purpose?
Wow.
And so that, you know, that healing journey for you after the breakup, like, what did that consist of for you?
Oh, it was beautiful.
I absolutely loved it. Like, I, uh, like Oh, what can I— like, this is my sweet spot right here.
Um, it was incredible. It was amazing. I feel like, um, that relationship happened to be kind of like the icing on the cake, right? Like, you have all of these different things that are taking place throughout your life that are little time bombs, um, and then it's culminating to the one that just really just sets it off. So I feel like that's what that relationship was. It was just kind of the capping on Okay, now it's time. It's finally time. Um, and so walking into my healing was the most beautiful experience that I have ever encountered in my life. Learning my identity in Christ, learning even deeper in how to operate in my purpose, learning who Holy Spirit is, learning that Abba speaks to me and I can have quiet time with him every single day. That he's an ever-present help. I mean, it, it just changed my entire life. Um, once I started to learn how to partner with Holy Spirit and how to, um, what friendship and intimacy with Abba looks like, uh, I mean, I just started telling everybody. And that's honestly, um, my healing really catapulted me into a lot of the work that I'm doing now, because I started off just by sharing with everyone what I was learning. Because what I had learned in the church growing up, during the time that, you know, I was in church, it was very religious, and it was very God is a punisher when you mess up, and very certain people hear from God, not everybody hears from him. Um, you know, so it's very, um, very, uh, just a lot of rigor, a lot of boxes, a lot of, you know, it was a lot of that, very strict. And so when Abba walked me into relationship with him and he started doing training, just him and I, I mean, I couldn't believe it.
I was blown. I was like, does everybody know about this? So I started sharing it like crazy because I couldn't believe it.
I was like, if you talk to him, he will talk back. Like, if you have a question, he'll answer you back. If you need help, he'll help you, you know. And that wasn't my experience previously. So a lot of my healing walked me into, you know, the work that I do now, which is very like Abba. He will use, you know, the Absolutely use the, the ashes from your life and turn them into beauty, like he says.
So yes, yes, I love that, Tasha. Um, and so like you said, I love what you said, is that partner with God and ask him questions. I tell people all the time, ask God questions. The word of God says that, right? And You know, this— this— I know in this season for sure, God is truly dealing with a lot of like religious people, um, and trying to break down barriers even the more because it is like a prison. It's not freedom, and God is freedom, you know. He wants to talk to every single last one of us. There's no big I or little i of Holy Spirit.
Yeah, like when I got a hold of that scripture that he is not a respecter of persons, and then I'm his daughter, like, say less.
I'm talking about everything, like anything that I can think of.
It, it changed my life, like the way it transformed me, I cannot even explain. It was— it's just the most beautiful thing to walk into a healing journey with him where it's so intimate, where it's just you and him, you know, there's no other voices. And even when it did come to the point where, um, he did lead me into a church and that became my church home, and the difference was, was that he led me, you know. He said he places his children into his churches where exactly the church home where we belong. And so even during that, he trained me so deeply to the point where I could go to different churches and I could weed out what was him and what wasn't. Very clearly, you know, whereas before I'm just like, okay, well, all churches are holy and God is in every church. Yeah, he started to show me in secret I'm not everywhere. Oh, in terms of— let me correct that— he is everywhere because he's omniscient, but Holy Spirit's presence doesn't bask and marinate and dwell in every church.
And so that was the difference. Yes.
I went and visited a different church on Sunday, me and my daughters, and, um, Lord have mercy, it was so different. They were looking at me like, "Mommy, what in the world? What is going on?" And I'm just like, "Okay girls, all right, mommy, we're not used to this." Like, they so used to just hearing the pure word of God and, yes, and pure worship, and that was not the atmosphere. It was definitely more like religious and 'You should do this,' and the haters— I'm like, who cares about our haters? You're not here to hear about my haters. I'm here to get the word of God. He said, 'Mommy, I want to go back home and look at Pastor Mike.' Okay, let me just go back to the bedside Baptist.
Yeah, for me, I was like, 'See, I should have just watched.' Yeah, so even that process was good, you know, it was useful because it helps you to see that your discerning muscle still works. Able to discern spirits. So, you know, and test spirits, because that's exactly a muscle that you have to learn how to flex.
You're right, absolutely. That is so, so true. Okay, so my next question will be, what would you tell the young woman then today? Like, what kind of advice would you give to the old Tasha?
Yeah, that's a good question right there. I would say it's okay to grieve because who you thought you were just died. I would say healing— no, I would say joy is the greatest weapon you have. So take back your happy. I never understood the power of joy and why he says the joy of the Lord is my strength. That was game-changing for me. Um, and also I would tell my, my younger self to cry and to collect my tears because my tears are a testimony that are going to be used for other queens to extinguish the fires that they walk through. Um, the way that he is using me today, I would have never imagined this. Never. But if I would have known then what I know now, oh, I would have cried, cried, cried. I mean, I did cry, I cried, but I would have cried it all out and collected the tears so that I could pass them on to another woman, so that as she, God forbid, has to walk through a similar fire, she can use those tears to extinguish those flames. So I would—
I would do that.
I would absolutely tell myself that.
I love that.
And oftentimes, you know, grief is a big part of like my ministry. I love talking about grief as well. And so you said something to me that was so important. I agree, it's okay to grieve. Oftentimes we think grief is just tied to just death, like physical death, but about the spiritual death. There's a spiritual death that you can go through as well, and you grieve it because, because number one, it was comfortable, it was familiar. And then I do think that we come to a place, like, as we get closer to God and we realize that we won't walk into his spirit, that grieves us too. Like, what in the world am I doing? Or what was I thinking? Or, you know, oh my God, I'm so sorry. So that grieves our spirit too, because we realize— we come to the full knowledge of who he is and be like, God, like, what was I doing all this time?
And yeah, and even with that, with the grief work, there comes a lot of forgiveness work that you have to do, and you have to give yourself permission to do it. Because a lot of times when you, you know, in my case with like a romantic relationship, the how people will direct you and point you is to get even. —bitter about it, not to give love another chance because, oh my gosh, this happened to you. But what Holy Spirit showed me was that, Tasha, you played a huge part in it because you allowed it to happen. You gave him permission to do it. And so that's what I meant by— I really— it took off layers of myself so that I could see who I was at my core. Because nothing happens without my permission. He's given me power and authority and dominion on this earth. And so what I allow, just like he told us, what we bind here will be bound in heaven, loose here will be loosed in heaven. So what I allow here, you know, it's something that I have allowed. I participated in it. And so I, from the first time, from the moment he told me the words of what he'd done, I forgave him, even though that was the farthest thing from my brain that I would ever think to do. But in that moment, Holy Spirit told me to forgive him because there was so much more tied to that— me releasing that and understanding that he too is a child of God. And that relationship is something that he and Abba have to work out that I have nothing to do with. But what the season was that Abba was ushering me into was between me, myself, and Holy Spirit, and the soul healing that needed to be done in me. You know, at that point it had nothing to do with my ex whatsoever. He was living his life, and Abba has to do whatever, you know, whatever they're going to work on, they're going to work on. He's not of my concern anymore, any longer. Once I responded the way that I did, that's when Holy Spirit showed me, your focus is on you. This is you and I in this. You allowed this. You played a part in this. You know, there's so many other layers to it that he had to get out of me, that Tasha, if I'm getting ready to walk you into facilitating soul healing for women all around the world, you have to be at a point where you understand exactly where they are and you've walked through it, you know. And so at that point, he's like, okay. And also connected to that obedience, the fact that you were able to dismiss my voice during parts of that relationship shows me that you're not ready, you know. And not in the sense that, um, you know, but in a sense of a good father, he's not going to put you in a position that you are not ready and prepared to undertake. And so he had to get rid of a lot of the pride that was in me that told me like, I hear you, but I'm still gonna do my thing.
Like, I did hear you though, you know.
So he had to get rid of that out of me. He had to, um, teach me how to be led, you know, with him. Just one of my, um, um, friends that I work with doing some soul healing work, she told me the way she sees me, it's almost as though Holy Spirit has his hands on my hands goes into a surgical room and I perform soul healing, uh, soul surgery, just letting him guide my hands. And then we end up coming out of the room and it's completely finished. And you know, that level of submission where I'm not trained to do this, I didn't go to school for this, my, my undergrad is not in this, my master's is not in this, but Holy Spirit trained me in Kingdom University to do it. And so that level of submission where I go in blindfolded to a person that I don't know whatsoever, I don't know anything about their background, and I'm going and administering soul healing while Holy Spirit is guiding my hands to do it, that takes a, you know, that takes a lot of surrender. It takes a lot of humbling myself, you know, a lot of trust. And so those were some of the things that he kind of pulled out of me during that time. I love it, Tasha.
You said so much just now with everything. Number one, um, we're talking about, you know, not seeking revenge and vengeance. It's amazing because just this morning, the prayer I, um, realized the other day was about not seeking vengeance and not seeking, um, to— for evil, for evil, right? Because God doesn't honor that. He doesn't— he doesn't bless that. He's not in that, right? And so I definitely could— oh gosh, Tasha, over the years I've counseled so many women who have come out of broken relationships and they're so angry, and it's years later. Exactly. And I'm like, you— it takes two people for a relationship to end. It's not just on him, it's not just on her, but like, let's work on— work on your responsibility and your part in something not working out. And so I, I love the fact that you said I had to look at myself, I had to look in the mirror, I had to surrender to God, I had to let God heal me and My thing— oh gosh, it's like I said, it's so many layers to that. And so, um, thank you for being, um, transparent about that, um, because some people are stuck. It's 5 years in the past and they're still stuck in this broken relationship. It's tragic.
It really is tragic. And it's also very strategic because it's a scheme and a plan of the enemy, because if you can paralyze someone You can steal, you can kill, you can destroy. Do all three things that he came to do— steal, kill, and destroy. And so if you give the enemy that power, and you give— and it's not even that you're giving your ex the power, because your ex is just a vessel that's being used. You know, he said we wrestle against principalities and high places, not against flesh and blood. And so, you know, if you're giving the enemy that power to keep you stuck, to keep you stagnant, you'll never open your heart to love again. You'll never— you know, you miss out on so much that's connected to you. You know, even the fact that now I'm engaged, you know, I was like, wow, this is exciting, you know. But I understand that it didn't come without me letting go, and it didn't come without me committing to the healing process. And so I encourage any woman that is out there that's like, but he did this and he needs to apologize— you may not— the apology that you need is from Abba.
That's the apology.
Like, you don't need an apology. Even though you're like, the apology won't change anything, you have to understand that your apology comes from Holy Spirit. Not even apology, it's comfort, because it's comfort that you really want. You really don't want the I'm sorry. The words don't mean anything. You want the comfort of he cares for me, he really values my heart, he, you know, and that is what you have to get from Holy Spirit, 100%.
Ah, I love it, I love it. So you guys, we're going to take a quick break and we're going to come back and hear more about, um, Tasha's engagement, hear more about her passions, and her purpose. So stay tuned.

Let's get back into part 2 of this episode.
Hello everyone, welcome back to Pain, Passion, and Purpose. We're going into part 2 with Miss Tasha Askew to talk more about her passion and more about her purpose. So Tasha, please share with us more about what you're passionate about. I know it's a lot.
Um, passionate, oh my goodness.
I am passionate about sharing and teaching the kingdom of God, teaching about Abba and who he is, teaching people how to partner with Holy Spirit, um, and, and more so about the kingdom. Because like I mentioned earlier, growing up I learned certain things about God that I thought were true because everyone thought they were true. So when I had that moment where he completely removed the scales from my eyes, then, you know, it was, it was the most amazing time in my life. And I wanted to tell everyone about it. And so that became something that I was incredibly passionate about, studying the word, learning who I am as a kingdom kid. I'm really passionate about people remembering who they are and remembering on a God level. So not just like, oh, this is what I used to do when I was a child, this is what I enjoyed. But no, remembering who you were when our Heavenly Father was knitting you in our mother's— in your mother's womb, you know, to that extent. So I'm passionate about that. Um, passionate about culture and different people and meeting people. I'm really passionate about healing and the body, the human body, and how he designed it. How, you know, he made sure that the focus of the human body is to always return to homeostasis and equilibrium. Like, that blows my mind in so many different ways. Um, really passionate about womb health, anything that has to do with the human anatomy and body and how he's designed us, I'm incredibly passionate about.
Wow, that is so beautiful. And, um, I see you being like a midwife, like a midwife The number of times that I have been told that—
good night, chat. Oh my goodness.
But I see that both spiritually and naturally though. I see you could— I see you doing that, being able to do that spiritually in the kingdom, also naturally for a person who's actually pregnant. That's what I see.
You know what's so funny?
So quick story. So I have 5 nieces and nephews, and I wanted to birth every single one of them, my sister. And so I wanted, you know, I started studying like doula, midwife, all this other stuff, because I'm just, I'm passionate about, I'm so intrigued by it and how Abba has designed women's bodies and how we are the only forces on the planet that can produce life in terms of a human being. Like a human being has to pass through a woman before arriving here. And that is just incredible to me. It's It's just, I can't even explain.
And so, um, my sister, of course, she's like, uh, that's— do what?
You want to get— and I said, in my living room, I'm gonna get you a little pool, you know, I'm gonna do it. She was not having it.
Not near one of them was she having it. She said, I'm going to the hospital.
So it's funny that you said that you can see that. And then a part of— a huge part of what I do um, in my soul healing work is help women birth, help them birth spiritually their purpose, their dreams, different things that Abba has called them to do, help them get out of them what they've been having difficulty pushing out or understanding how to present to the world. And so, um, yeah, you, you definitely tapped in on that one.
As you were talking, I was taking notes like, oh wow, I see, I see midwife, I see doula.
And you know, I would say like of course you'll seek God for his timing, but definitely seek it out. Because this is what I realized. I've actually, you know, counseled women who are doulas, and they just have, you know, a hard time in their life. They need just, you know, they're in transition. And it's very— it's hard to find, um, kingdom midwives. It is. Um, I attended a training probably about 3 years ago now, uh, for perinatal mood disorders, and it had therapists there, doulas there, midwives there. Doctors there, nurse practitioners, and I'm telling you, girl, it's not that many kingdom midwives. So there is a place for you in that. There is a place for you in that to make an impact. That's such a pivotal time for a woman giving birth. And I think sometimes, especially, you know, it's like when we're kingdom, we surround ourselves with kingdom. Yes, right. But whenever we step outside of the kingdom, sometimes around amongst other people who are not kingdom, it's easier to see what is missing.
Yes, you're getting what I'm saying.
There's time I had those moments, wow God, I didn't realize that what I'm doing is such a need for not only just in the kingdom but also in the, the world in general. Because I'm thinking that always most people out here like me, but really it's not, maybe but a handful. And I feel like it's the same thing for, you know, midwives and doulas. It's a small pool. My brother, his wife just had a baby and they had a home birth. Oh wow. And they're in Hawaii and she had a beautiful birth. Like, she had a baby in like 2 hours. Like, videos. I mean, I seen everything, girl.
Yeah, I want to see, you know.
And so I have a new brand new niece. Her name was Athena. And, uh, it just— it's my heart. I said Wow, I mean, they had everything at home. They had everything, the shots, I mean, everything they would have at the office, they had that there. So she had to go to hospital at all whatsoever.
She was able to be home and be comfortable.
And I'm like, man, how awesome is that to be able to be at home, have a beautiful birth, a natural birth, and not have to leave and be surrounded by nurses and hospital sounds? Because I had both my kids kids in the, um, in the hospital, and that was very annoying. Like, look at me, like, this hour, why you can't sleep? But when you're at home, you're, you're able to adjust a lot easier. Yeah. And then they had another child, and they're in Hawaii with no family, so being at the hospital, who gonna take care of Aubrey? Who's gonna take care of my other niece, right, while they're at the hospital trying to, you know? So it just worked out for them perfectly. And I'm just so thankful. Congratulations! I'm excited that they had that. So she came out, I think her doula came out like, I think every day. So she had a baby. Baby's like 5 days old as today. Yeah, yeah, today.
Yeah, she just had the baby like 5 days ago.
Yeah, yeah, that was like— so it really changed my whole perspective of like birth. Of course we're taught to like, oh, we need to go to the hospital because it's the safest. Yeah, it's not necessarily true. That's not always true. Okay, so honey, I said seek it out. I can just do this effortlessly. It's so beautiful, so beautiful.
Thank you. You have certainly added to the list of midwife, midwife, midwife. Like, okay, I guess you just want me to leave. I'm telling you, I have women who reach out.
I have a client, before had 5 kids. Her 5th one, she was— she wanted a Christian midwife so bad and she couldn't find one. You could not find one in our area. Nope.
She was very particular about that.
Yeah, yeah. And honey, listen, listen, girl. Okay, so then also, I also see you like training other midwives, not just you, but as you grow, you're able to trained other midwives as well. So that's a whole business endeavor all right there.
We have to have a conversation online, some interesting things right now.
Yes, yes, girl. So honey, let them use you, girl. You on the right track. You already hear his voice, you already know what's going on. Thank you. You're so welcome. You're so welcome. And so as far as your perp— your purpose, how has like your story of your relationship not working out connects to your purpose today?
Oh, let's see, how has my relationship today connect— connect your old relationship?
Yeah, everything. Yeah, the old transition, transitioning to your purpose today, how God— Gotcha.
Gotcha. Okay. I understand. I would say, I mean, it's a direct extension because I catapulted into the healing space after that. I didn't just take the healing personal, which is what many people do. They reserve that healing for themselves and they go on to do different things, which there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but that's just, wasn't my story. Um, that wasn't the plan that he had for me. He wanted this healing that began years and years ago to be an extension of what I do today. And so, um, the work that I do now is the Soul Healing Experience. Primarily, that's what I do. There's a couple other things, but it's primarily the Soul Healing Experience. And so I help women who have soul wounds, who have roots of rejection, shame, and forgiveness and fear. Fear is a huge one that I work with. People pleasing, all of those, these different types of soul wounds. And I help them to get to the root of them. And that's a spiritual, a spiritual level training that you have to go through. You know, it's not just, oh, let's go get this physical medication and let's cure depression. You know, it doesn't quite work like that. If you truly want to be— it to be a long-term sustainable solution, um, pills are not going to work. And, you know, I'm not condoning anyone stopping their pills, you know, consult your physician and do what's right for you. Um, but depression is deeply tied to a demonic root, and you have to get to the root of those things if you want to experience the freedom that he has called you to live in. And so I do, you know, soul surgery with women, and I guide them through that process over the course of a month, um, very intimately, very deeply. It's really messy, but on the other side of it, it's beautiful. And so it's worth it, you know, it's worth going through the ugly parts of it so that you can actually receive the beauty that he's promised for your ashes.
Yeah, I love it. And you're right, I definitely believe the same thing, you know. As the— I'm a Christian therapist, and so I'm always having to wear like multiple hats. Like, I got spiritual hat, I have a clinical hat.
Yes. And I have to try to teach the body of Christ.
It's like that balance between spiritual and, you know, our, you know, our earthly wounds, I guess you could call it. People don't understand is that whenever we have these earthly wounds here on Earth, it opened up doors as well. Yes, because spirits— it does. And, um, so I love how you phrased that and how you, how you said that, like, it does have a root to it. It does, it does. Before we end today, is there anything else that you want to add to the conversation?
One, I want to thank you because this has been such an enriching conversation. And then two, for the queens who are currently in a season of pain and they feel like purpose is so far off from them, my advice would be— and here I am being so careful with my words because I want to be sensitive to pain is a reality for some in this moment. It is a reality, so I don't want to dismiss or negate the fact that you're experiencing something that's difficult and trying. Um, but my greatest suggestion and advice would be to grab hold of Holy Spirit's hand, even if you have to cry doing it, Even if you're kicking and screaming doing it, even if you feel like you've tried this before and it didn't work out, grab hold of his hand and trust him with the process. Don't tap out, don't count yourself out because you feel like the environment is too big or the situation is too big. Let him handle the environment, let him handle the situation. Your responsibility is taking his hand.
I love it. So, so true. So can you share with us how we can find you, more about your services, your books, and all that good stuff?
Yes, absolutely. So I am on Instagram at, at Tasha Teaches Truth. Um, you can find me there doing IG Lives and teaching kingdom and sharing bits my life as Yahusha's daughter and, you know, the Kingdom experience. And then you can also connect with me there to find out about the Soul Healing Experience. It opens up once a month. I have two books. I have Teach Supernaturally, and it's 30 devotionals, 31 devotionals for, um, to transform your teaching. So if you work with youth in any capacity, or you have kids, biological children um, the book will definitely transform the way you discipline your kids, the way you navigate them and learn them. And then the second book is Gifts of Holy Spirit. If you're interested in learning which of the 9 gifts did Holy Spirit give me, because he definitely gave me some, he gave us all some, so you can learn which ones there. Um, that's also connected to my Instagram. And then, um, trying to think what else. So I have Dangerously Awake Daughters of the King weekend., which is an in-person weekend for those who complete the Soul Healing Experience. It's powerful. We go up on a mountain, and mountains are so symbolic in the word. It's where regulation happens, it's where jurisdiction happens, it's where the courts are open. Um, and so that's something that we also do. But I can be found on Instagram at Tasha Teaches Truth.
I love it. And also, you guys, she is engaged. So when is— you have a date when you get married?
We're working on that, but it'll be soon.
It'll be soon. And I'm excited.
And that's, that's just a testament to, you know, everything that you have spoke about today in terms of taking the pain and going towards purpose, letting go of the pain or letting him use your pain so that you can point in the direction of purpose. Yeah, well, congratulations, Tasha.
