In this episode of Thriving Thursdays, host Shakeeta Torres interviews Pastor Joy Partman, a longtime minister and regional leader of Awakening Prayer Hubs, about her transformation into a Spirit‑led health coach. The conversation begins with Pastor Joy’s ministry credentials—a diploma in biblical theology, 35 years of preaching, and leadership of Awakening House of Prayer in Birmingham—followed by her certifications in essential oils and health coaching. She shares her personal health narrative, beginning with severe gastritis in her 20s, ongoing gut challenges, and a 20‑year journey of learning about diet, supplements, exercise, and fasting. Central to her approach is a scriptural foundation (1 Thessalonians 5:23) and a reliance on the Holy Spirit for discernment, prayer, and “binding” of illness. Pastor Joy outlines practical recommendations: maintaining gut health, whole‑food nutrition, targeted supplements (e.g., N‑acetylcysteine, B‑vitamins), regular movement, strength training, stretching, and limiting sugar. She emphasizes that spiritual health—prayer, forgiveness, and obedience—directly impacts physical well‑being. The interview also promotes the upcoming Faith and Mental Wellness Virtual Summit (March 13‑14), featuring 12 speakers, including Pastor Joy, and invites listeners to attend, watch replays, or purchase tickets. Contact information (joypartman.com, Facebook, Instagram) is provided for those seeking personal coaching. The episode concludes with a joint prayer for the summit’s success and for listeners’ health, underscoring the integration of faith, mental wellness, and physical vitality.

Hello everyone, welcome back to Thriving Thursdays. Thank you so much, so much for being here. I am super excited today to have a special guest, my friend, my regional leader, Pastor Joy Parkman. Welcome, Pastor Joy. Welcome.
Thank you. Thank you, Shakeeta Torres. Happy to be here. Yes, this Thursday with you.
Yes. And as you guys know, um, I'm hosting a Faith and Mental Wellness Virtual Summit March 13th and 14th, and Pastor Joy is going to be one of our speakers sharing her expertise and sharing knowledge and wisdom about your, about your health. And so today we're going to talk about her story and her journey as to how she became a, a health coach and her passion behind that. But Before we begin, I want to share with you all a little bit about who she is and her history with ministry. Her story is just— reading her bio to me gave me so much joy, had my little heart flutter. So let's get into that. So Pastor Joy Partman has a diploma in biblical theology from Covenant Life School of Ministry. Joy Partman Ministries was birthed through 35 years of teaching teaching, preaching, and prophesying in churches small to large. Currently, she pastors Awakening House of Prayer Birmingham and is the regional leader for the Southern United States Awakening Prayer Hubs under Apostle Jennifer LeClaire, our Apostle.
Yes.
She also has a passion for health and wellness through a Spirit-led perspective. She's a certified essential oil coach through Essential Oil Institute, a certified health coach through Health Coach Institute, and currently mentors one-on-one with people who desire to walk in health and in healing in their bodies.
Yes.
The foundational scripture for the health coaching is 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 and 23. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Her topic for this summit is going to be Unashamed of My Health, and through the Holy Spirit she has wisdom and revelation that she can help you walk in health and healing. It is her desire to share with all those who will be attending what she has learned over the past 20 years concerning how to build your immune system, by maintaining a healthy gut, eating life, eating life-giving foods, and taking the needed supplements your body requires, making sure to include exercise and movement in your daily life. And of course, first and foremost, walking intimately with the Holy Spirit, spending time in prayer, the word of God, and walking in the spirit. Pastor Joy is married to the love of her life, Mr. Bruce Parkman. She is the mother of 4 children and the grandmother of 9 amazing grandchildren. And she lives in Moody, Alabama, just outside of Birmingham, Alabama.
Yes.
Wow.
Wow. What a mouthful. Just hearing that, what a blessing.
I know it's always weird to kind of hear your own bio, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
Like, wow.
It's like, oh.
Is that— look how far we've come.
We've come. So much, so much has happened in these years. It's an amazing journey. It has been. And so we still have more to go.
Yes, exactly. And I personally have had the pleasure of getting to know Pastor Joy for almost— it'll be almost a year, right, coming up in April? Yeah, almost a year.
Yes.
And I just love her heart. I love her spirit. She's an awesome leader, an awesome pastor. She leads with excellence. She leads with the Holy Spirit. She's leading with everything that she does. And so I'm honored and I'm privileged to have her be a guest for today and also be a speaker at the Faith and Mental Wellness Summit. So thank you so much for saying yes, Pastor Joy.
Thank you for asking me. I'm so honored.
Yes.
What a blessing. What a blessing. Thank you so much.
You're welcome. And so I'm going to give you the floor so that you can really share with the audience a little bit about your story and how you got into health coaching. And what led you into that?
Okay, well, when I was in my 20s, this is way before health coaching, but I had a problem with my gut. I was a young mom and ended up with severe gastritis, ended up in the hospital, and realized I needed to watch what I eat and eat more fiber and all that. That's what they told me back then. And so 20 years ago, that was like 35 years ago, or maybe even 40. Oh goodness, am I telling my age? Yes, I am. I think it was 40 years ago. I was 24, about to be 64. So I was like, okay, so, and then when Bruce and I got married, I just, which is 21 years ago, I just began to become more passionate for health. First and foremost, I've been in ministry, like you read, for those 40 years. And my passion has been Jesus and teaching and preaching and prophesying. But all along the way, I knew I wanted to have health and walk in health so I can do more for what God has called me to do. And so Bruce is on the same page as me. We started taking a lot of supplements and And then we had moved to Georgia from Alabama. This has been, I've only been like an official health coach for like 5 years. I was into the health, but I thought I need to get trained. And because I have a passion for health. I want to see people just excel in their health and lose the weight if they want to. I have a burden for people, so much so that if I see some, You know, I want to help them so much. And sometimes you want to do it for them. You can't do it for them. That's my desire is like, please let me help you. You've got to do this. Let's go to the grocery store. We'll find foods for you. We'll find what you need. Let's do this together. But anyway, so as I continued on my health journey, I always struggled with the gut issues. And I don't want to give away everything so everyone can come on in March and hear the rest of all the details, what I'm going to say. But that was a big issue. And I felt like a lot of women, and probably men, but not as much as women, have the gut issues. And so that was one of the things I focused on, even in my health coaching, is to help people because, you know, I think it's Hippocrates, the father of medicine, said, "All disease begins in the gut." And he also said, "Let food be your medicine." and medicine be your food. So I was like, yes, I love to lean more towards much holistic and how much, you know, it's whole foods and try to do it with diet. I do believe you need medicine sometimes, of course, but I don't want to take it if I don't have to. I'd rather take supplements and have a healthy diet. And so I ended up, you know, like I said, going to school for a year. I ended up working at a health food store. Learned a lot through that. The essential oils is a great thing. I did that with Dr. Josh Axe. He's a Christian out of Nashville, Tennessee, that area, Franklin, Nashville, Tennessee. So I did that. That is an awesome supplement also, is having the essential oils. And I do want to say, I believe I can say this, you know, as I was learning, there's a lot of new age stuff in the health industry. And that was such a burden to me because, yeah, the enemy tries to steal what is God's. And there is no compromise with God, of course. We're not on compromise. But he put these foods on the earth and for our bodies to be healthy. And so I will go into, even on the talk, the foods that are healthy, how to stay away from processed food and especially ultra-processed. Not that you never have a processed food, 'cause they're out there. You just try to tend more whole foods. So, 'cause it's vibrant, it's good for your health. It's changed me. And I am gonna give away one of my secrets right now. And one of my secrets is Holy Spirit. It's Holy Spirit. And I knew, okay, as a believer in Jesus, he lives inside of me. And another thing, my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. And I wanna, to serve it well. I want to put what's healthy in there and, um, and walk in health. So I would ask Holy Spirit when I was having an issue— okay, pause right there. So throughout my journey, I would get a regimen going. I would have the food and the supplements. It would work for a year or something, and then it would change and it didn't work anymore. I was like, well, now wait a minute, you know. Then I get a gut issue back. 'Cause your body does change. And I feel like even the older you get, things change. You have to shift, you have to be sensitive to what you feel in your body and what's going on. So this is what I would do. This is a big secret, but I'll give this one away. But I'll talk more about it in March. But I would ask Holy Spirit, since you live inside of me, because I have an intimate walk with him, he wants to have intimacy with all of us, be close to us, he is the Lord, The Spirit is the Lord, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty. So I say, Holy Spirit, would you scan my body? Because you know, you go to the doctor, the hospital, and go through and do scans. And I said, well, he knows what's going on, right? Holy Spirit knows what's going on in my body. Who else? He lives, he lives there, and he's the Great Physician. Jesus is a great physician. So I say, okay, what is it? What is going on? What do I need to change? And a lot of times he would speak it to me, but honestly, a lot of times I would get an email from one of my health places and it would say, "Here is this new fiber supplement. You ought to try this," or whatever. I would see something on Facebook and inevitably, always, he will show me. Always. And it is a test and a trial run sometimes. Not when he tells you something. Because he knows. But it is sometimes, if you didn't hear him say that and you think, well, I want to try to help my body come into this health, I'm going to try this diet, this lifestyle. And I will go into some of that too, maybe that, you know, in the supplements I take. But it will shift everything because he knows. And And like I said, it may work for a while. You, everyone that hears this, me and Shakeeta Torres, whoever, we're the only ones we know what's going on in our body. And you just be sensitive to that. Okay, something's off, something's up, and just continue to seek the Lord. And also, you know, I'm not saying don't go to your doctor, go to your doctor, you know, and check things out, get your tests and your physicals and all that. But even at that, if I go to the doctor— I want to pray in the spirit for some reason, I just felt the Holy Spirit right then— when you go to the doctor, great, wonderful. I will go home with the Lord after what— and I, and I have to give this testimony because I will go home with the Lord and begin to pray about that situation that the report said, that the test said, because he's our healer. Now he uses doctors, he uses medicine. I just— it's just— you just got to be sensitive to him. So example, a year ago I went for an eye exam, and my, uh, eye doctor where I was living then said, you are glaucoma suspect, glaucoma suspect. You're— the pressure in your eyes a little bit high. And I was like, uh-uh. Now he said, so you're going to come back in 6 months, we'll retest you, make sure, because you're just— so I began to pray. Well, we were moving at the time from, uh, it was Lincoln, Alabama to Moody where we are now. And so I didn't get that 6-month appointment, but I began to pray and I would say, Father, I command this tumor to go down.
Uh-uh.
I bind, I command. See, I believe in this. This is how I roll. I go to the Father, I bind these sicknesses, these infirmities, these diseases. That's the big part of this, my health journey. It is. So I would, I would, so I continue to do that and I'll take about 10 supplements and I'm gonna go through some of those in my talk. But there were 2, I did not know this. Now this is the Holy Spirit for real. So I waited and I had an eye appointment in January, just a few weeks, 2 weeks ago, 2 weeks ago. We moved, so I found a new eye doctor. I thought, I'm gonna go see, let's just go see where my eye pressure is. Let's discuss it. Well, he tested me. It was a normal reading, it's 21 or under. I had readings that at the other eye doctor, it was 27. When I went to this doctor, it was 20. It had gone down. The pressure had gone down. Number one, I know it's prayer. Number two, I was taking two supplements that I didn't even know, N-acetylcysteine and these B vitamins that help with any glaucoma, help to prevent, you know, help to help that. I was taking that. So I know the supplements and the exercise and all these things that we'll talk about as well. But I know it's prayer. So I guess the thing I wanna say is prayer. Walking with Holy Spirit very intimately close, attack it in prayer. Heart disease, I bind that in the name of Jesus. And you know something else I did? I asked— this is how— this is another thing I've been doing for years, 20 years. I speak to my body and I say, heart, you work normally. I speak to every valve, you will work normally. I speak to those arteries, be free and clear, no hardening of the arteries, uh-uh, no. I speak to my brain, no Alzheimer's, no dementia, in the mighty name of Jesus. I speak to my cells to grow naturally, normally. No cancer cells in my body. I speak these things over me, and I listen for the wisdom of the Spirit, because in Proverbs it talks about, you know, walking in the wisdom that God gives us. The Bible also says, my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. We need to understand these things and study study and find out. And people would say, well, there's like 500 different views on eggs. Or I said, I know, I know there is, you know, eggs good, eggs aren't good. Well, you— it's true. I go by the leading of the Spirit for me, for me. And, and like I said, it changes. And it seemed like every— when I was younger, about every, uh, 5 years or 10 years I'd have to shift. And now that I'm 60s, like every— maybe it was every year, now every 6 months I have to adjust something. I have to adjust something with my, you know, with my gut and everything. I don't know, it's just— and my health and my diet. And I'll go through that more in our talk. But the main thing is, it is through the power of the Most High God. He wants us to walk in health. He wants us to be healthy and do more for him. Right. He wants us to prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. And this summit is going to talk a lot about our soul. Praise the Lord. And I will some too, but mostly about the health, the body, the physical. But our soul has to be healthy because it will affect our physical body. Yeah. Unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, all these things will affect our physical body and bring even sickness and disease. Come on. It's in the word of God. About having bitterness and a bitter heart, and it hurts your bones. Oh my goodness. So I'm just like, Lord Jesus. So we are gonna walk in this together, y'all. This is my desire. This is my passion. It really is. I think as I continue to talk, then it got on me. I was like, oh yeah, now come on, let's go. Because I believe in it, y'all. I give God all the praise. I am, you know, like I said, I'm 64, and I don't mind saying that, and I'm not on any medications. Korabasai. I'm not on— thank you, Jesus— on any blood pressure or cholesterol, anything, anything. And then one of the things is one other tip that the Holy— this is just another piece of what God— how I've walked in the health. When I was 50, all my brothers, sisters— not sister because she tries to be healthy— my brothers, my dad were all diabetic. Diabetes, okay. The Lord spoke to me. He said, listen, if you will watch the sugar now and limit it, and we'll talk about sugar, it's really not good for you. You can limit it, there's a certain amount you can have, but you wanna limit it. He told me, if you watch the sugar, you won't get diabetes. All of my brothers and everyone had it in their 50s. I don't have diabetes, praise the Lord, praise the Lord. I do, I still, okay, but I do have a piece of cake sometimes. Oh yeah, I will have some ice cream. Oh yeah, I sure do. But I just try not to do it all the time. I try to limit it. Christmas, I got a little out of hand. Lord help me. So I pulled it back in. I pulled it back in. Those are just a few. So that's how you pull, reel it back in, reel it back in. Let's chill out here. Go on a fast. Fasting's important too, you know. For your health. And so really that is my journey. And I think I left enough that I haven't shared with y'all for when I get to talk to you. But my desire is for you to come to this, the Faith and Mental Wellness Summit. Come because not just, there's a, I forget how many speakers now, maybe 8 or there's some— 12.
12.
Oh my goodness. 12 speakers, y'all. It's gonna cover so many areas. Listen, it's well worth the money. You'll, you'll be so glad you did. God, God is into healing the whole person, like my scripture says— spirit, soul, and body. He said, I want to preserve you blameless to the coming of the Lord. What? We're one day closer to the coming of the Lord every day. We don't know when he's coming. This is what he said: I want to He said, may the God of peace— oh, may the God of peace— do you know what that means in the Hebrew? And it's like shem, the Hebrew letter shem, lamb, I forget, I've got them written out, there's 4 of them. So it means to destroy the authority. Hold on, I gotta get it. Hold on, y'all, I know you don't mind, I'm gonna grab my Bible. Where is my Bible? Where is the one? Oh goodness, it— okay, sorry, I don't want to keep y'all on hold here, but it means to destroy the chaos, the authority that chaos binds to you. Destroy the chaos, the authority of the chaos that is bound to you. Peace, right? Peace. To destroy that authority of the chaos. You see what I'm saying? And, and so, and peace has to do with healing and wholeness in your body as well. That's why I said, now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless to the coming of the Lord. So he— this, this summit is going to touch on these things, y'all, because it's a— it's Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit Summit, Shakeeta Taurus is leading the way. Mighty woman of God, filled with the Spirit of God, yielded to Holy Spirit. So hey, y'all better get ready because it's going to be unlike anything that you've experienced, I believe. Yes, thank you, Lord.
Yeah, and thank you, uh, different things that just like— I was taking notes as you were speaking and, um, I wrote down some tips people can think about about, you know, what you're saying. First of all, you're 64 years old, you don't look it. You look amazing, you're beautiful, you have no health problems at all whatsoever.
No, praise the Lord.
Able to be present with your grandchildren and yeah, with them and still have energy and be energetic, right? That's a—
yes, yes.
And so what I'm hearing too is like we have to learn how to to invite Holy Spirit into every single area of our lives. Um, oftentimes we think that God don't care about the little things, but it's the things that helps us to have longevity, that helps us to like save our life long term, right?
Yes, yes.
Um, and I heard, you know, obedience, you know, I heard, you know, authority, you know, prayer, um, wisdom. These are all things that we have access to as believers through the word of God and the Holy Spirit and listening to his voice about what he's saying. Um, something earlier about, you know, scripture, about how unforgiveness and all these different things can, can affect your health, and that is so true. And so, um, so clinically it's called, uh, somatic complaints, where you got so many different things going on on the inside of your heart in your mind, and your body becomes so overwhelmed with all that stuff, it responds, and it responds through sickness.
Wow.
Yeah, and it's so true, but it's so scripture.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah. Wow.
Yeah. Wow, wow, that's good.
That was good. That was good.
Thank you, Lord.
I agree with everything you said and then some, because it's so true. God cares about every single area of our lives, and Oftentimes, like, and then the obedience part— our body is God's temple, and if we want to yield the kind of fruit that you have in your life, we have to be— do the same thing. It's yield to the Holy Spirit.
Yes, yield to him. Yes, yes, because he has the perfect plan. He really knows, and he has good— and we have, you know, as long as obedience is important, because, you know, and, you know, I know It is hard because sometimes there's food addictions, and I understand that because sugar is highly addictive. We'll talk about that. But yeah, and I know, I know, carbs and sugars, yes. But he— that it's— there's a way through his grace and his anointing to walk in health. And, um, and like you, we talk about the gym, that's important. Movement and exercise is so important for us, and as well But yes, I love to be able to run and keep up with my kids, throw ball and stuff with them, you know, run and chase them and they chase me.
Yeah, my younger daughter's like, Mommy— she's like 7 now— I said, Mommy, when I have kids, I need your help. I'm gonna need for you to help me do their hair, get them fresh for school. I'm just like— so I think about it, Mom. I'm like, one day I want to be a grandmother. Prayerfully I will. Pray for my children, you know. I pray that God keep his hand on us and I'm able to see my grandbabies and help my children with their children. I want to do that and not be, oh, I'm so bogged down and my body worn out and I can't think straight because you're so unhealthy.
Unhealthy. And I do have another key for this, uh, uh, strength— your strong body. I guess I can wait and give it on the thing. It's another very important, very important for as you age Yeah, give a tip.
Go ahead and give us a tip.
Okay, I'm gonna give it to you. No, tell me right now. Okay, this tip is not stretching, and I'll tell you why. When I was delivering my second child, Courtney, and she's 30— um, let's see, is she 83? She's 39, I believe. She's 39. So 39 years ago, my gynecologist, OB-GYN, One day when I was getting checked on my baby, I don't know why he said, you know how when older people will get real feeble and they have to have a walker or, you know, a cane or whatever? And not to say if there was some kind of disease or sickness, but he just told me old age setting in because your muscles shrink. He told me this, your muscles, the older you get, you lose muscle and they shrink. He said, but the key to that is stretching. Stretch, honey, eyes on the floor. I stretching those muscles, I stretching my legs, and I'm still stretching till today. Stretch, stretch, stretch, stretch your legs, stretch your muscle. Uh-uh, my muscles aren't shrinking. Oh no, no, no. They're gonna be pliable because y'all, that's part of aging. And our bones could get brittle. You need strength training because that keeps— it's part of it. Part of it is strength training because it helps with your buns. But listen, strength training, but the stretching, that's the key to not becoming feeble. So get in that floor and stretch. But it's important. I've been doing it, you know, 39 years because when he told me, I thought, I don't want to be feeble. I want to be able to run and I don't want to be on a walker or cane. No. Yeah. So that's— yeah, that's another key.
What we were saying earlier about— they kept saying, oh, you're going to be this. 'Oh, you're gonna be that,' but you was like, 'Oh no, no, no, no, I'm not receiving that. Okay God, I speak against that,' but I'm also doing the action steps to make sure that happen.
Is that right? You know, like you said, don't be a hearer of the word, only be a doer of his word. Also, just we hear it, but it takes discipline to do it. So if you like discipline, we can say Father, help me. Holy Spirit, help me with discipline to do these things, you know, that I need for my health. And like I said, it's not like, it really isn't like, it isn't for me, but it isn't that hard 'cause you still can have pizza if you want to once in a while, or, you know, a burger and fries. I was talking about food. Now discipline for exercise, now listen, this is the truth. Do I really, really enjoy it? Not really, but you know, I always think I've gotta get in here and do this strength training and do this. But what drives me to do it is I wanna be healthy and strong. And I know I've got to, it won't ha— if I sit in a chair and sit and sit, you're gonna get stove up like they used to say. I'm gonna be all stoved up. I won't be able to move. It's true. You've got to move. God created our bodies to move. He did. You know, in Jesus' day, they didn't have— they had to walk everywhere. You know, they might have rode a donkey sometimes or a camel, but they walked and walked. They were very active. But yeah, God created our bodies to move. And yeah, it takes discipline. And my desire to be— to keep my temple healthy drives me. My love for God drives me, and I want to be— I don't want a severe illness or disease. Yeah, no, I don't. And so that helps give me that willpower to do it in the discipline. I would rather do that than have the outcome if I don't. I don't know. So it's very important. So, but that's a passion I have. I want to pour that into everybody. Yes, you can do it. You know, it's like I want to pour it in.
Yes, I love it. And so how can people find you to like learn more and get more information or schedule a session with you to talk more about their— because see, I— because like I would use, you know, like you said earlier, everybody's body is different.
Yeah, right.
And so you can share, but right, but we got to know our own temple and our own body. We know that experience and by the Holy Spirit. So how can people reach you if they need help with that?
Okay, I've got a website, joypartman.com, and then also my Facebook. I'm on Facebook and Instagram, but Facebook you can find me, Joy Partman, and then, um, and that's how you can reach out to me. I mean, I also have— of course there's email on these, on the website and stuff like that, but, um, so yeah, they can reach out to me that way. And, um, I love it. I, I love it too. Thank you. I mean, you know, this isn't because I would— it's been like 5 years ago, and I do it here and there, but it's not that I was— I'm, you know, my first party is Awakening House Prayer Birmingham and in the region and all that, but I'm telling you, this is next. Yes, the health it's next. So I haven't done as much of that these past few years because I've been building, yeah, um, with the church and all that. But so this, for you to ask me, I really, I knew it was the Lord. Yeah, because I told him, yeah, he was like, do you think— he was like, you thought that was just now you're done or whatever? No, no, no. And he's pulling it back. I said, okay, okay, that sounds good to me, Lord. Yeah, because he says, I believe he says, I want my people healthy.
Yes.
And what I feel is there's more unhealthy people in the Bride of Christ. You know, he wants a healthy bride, right? And, uh, he does. And he's like, you know, it helps to have counsel, it helps to have ideas, inspiration, prayer, you know. And, and you know what, I'll have friends tell me that I've helped them. They said, we didn't know this.
Wow.
We didn't know this. We did not know about this or that. I didn't know. I didn't know. So thank you. You know, like a lot of people, they may know these things, but it may be a little extra thing they hadn't thought about, or, you know, so it's— it, it, it does work. And like, as we are ending this, the main thing is a walk with Jesus. That's the main thing. Prayer, prayer. You know, he's first and foremost in my life. He's my everything, and I know he is yours, and I believe all others that No, but he's— that he's why we do this, right, Shakeeta? He is. You are doing this because you care about people. You want them to healed and whole. Oh yes, because the Lord told me— it wasn't long ago at Ahab Birmingham, he was talking about, I'm coming in to heal and deliver it mentally, emotionally. He said, I want my bride whole emotionally and mentally. Wow, he does. Enough of this. I get all— I'm like, no, that— and the devil is a liar, and he's, he's got people in bondage. He's a delivering God, he's a healing God, he's— he cares about every area of our life. Yeah, he really, really, really does.
I remember one time I was watching the Instagram Live with a gospel artist And he had like, um, a show where he was like, um, interviewing people live to sing and to be a part of some of his projects. And it really— one lady in particular, she could sing, but she was like running out of breath. She was so out of shape and not healthy. And he told her that, 'Your voice is beautiful and you sound amazing, but you keep running out of breath, you know. And she was like, like, she got a little emotional. He said, I want you to take care of yourself. I want you to take care of yourself so you can be a better, you know, continue to carry the, the voice, the sound coming out of your mouth. So I know people have health issues where they might have a hard time losing weight, as you said earlier. Trying to make anybody feel ashamed, that's the whole thing.
No, that's why it's called Unashamed.
You need, right, become So I understand everybody's body is different, and so this is what Pastor D'Woods want to do, who's a certified life coach, is no matter where you are, she can help you to target the area is to help you to like shed some of that, to help you to become healthy. Yeah, she's absolutely— here's the Holy Spirit, and she has the education and the knowledge as well combined together, and it's powerful. I, I learned something today listening to her, you know. And our body, it changes. I can say I'm not the same person I was 10 years ago. My body has changed significantly, you know.
Yeah.
So I hope you guys take in what she had to say. She has so much knowledge, so much wisdom. Oh my God, wisdom for— duh, she a walking— knowledge and wisdom, and she's so in tune with the Holy Spirit. So I love that about her. And her heart, personality, it just, it just, it just gives so much like joy and love. So you guys, follow her, join us for our summit, it's going to be amazing. Um, we can say we have 12 different speakers, um, it's going to be speaking about a variety of topics, and it's faithandmentalwellness.faith. And, um, you can, if you're not able to watch it live, you can also watch the replay because I have 3 different levels for people to be able to, um, to purchase. Trying to make it so people can have access, but it does, it does cost, okay? It costs us, cost me time, energy, and all that stuff to build it for you guys. Vision that God gave me. And so it's worth it. Um, I wish I had something like this when I first became a therapist. Um, I get that question all the time, like, okay, how do I find, you know, Holy Spirit-filled people to really help me. So like, okay, well, I'm building a platform. Yeah, so you guys can have resources to know where to find people.
Yeah, that's good. Praise the Lord.
Yes, I'm like you. I feel the Holy Spirit so heavy on me right now.
I do, I do.
I've been feeling it the whole time. And so, Pastor Joy, I would love for you to pray us out if you feel led to. Yes, we will, we'll end and we'll see you guys next week.
Yes, yes. So Father, we love you with all our hearts, yes, our minds, our soul, and our bodies. God, we want everything we do to bring glory to you, Jesus. You said go and let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify God in heaven. So Father, as we go out in this world with the vitality and the health and the glory of Jesus, as we're vessels of glory, Father, that many will come to you, God. And I believe that there is a healing revival, Father, and it's, it's moving, it's moving across your body. And I thank you, Father, that everyone that's listening even right now, that they'll be touched by your power. They're like, I hadn't even gone to the summit and I'm touched, I'm touched by the power of God. So Father, I thank you, you're going to move over their lives, their physical bodies, and bring healing bring hope, and, and they will not be ashamed. Like we said, they will be unashamed. We all have issues, we all have things we have to work through, God. That's why we're here doing this. That's what we walk together. That's why you have helping us, Jesus. So I ask for a blessing to rest on everyone that's listening, and you draw the people to the summit so their lives can be changed forever, forever, for your kingdom and your glory, to bring honor to you, Jesus. Father, I ask that you bless Shakeeta Torres. She's heading this up. Give her all that she needs as she's finishing this up over the next month. And I thank you, God, that, that she's gonna have wisdom and understanding and revelation how to put it together. I bind any plot of the enemy to cause a distraction, a hindrance, resistance. We bind the enemy from this summit in the name of Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus over this summit, over every speaker. Over every person that will attend. We thank you that you will be glorified, Jesus. And as we exit out of this summit in March, we're gonna thank you for lives changed. But I believe my life will be changed, Shakeeta Torres' life, every speaker's life will be changed, and all— all 10 will be changed because you are in it, Jesus. And we give you the glory, we give you the honor, because it's you, and we thank you in Jesus' name. Amen.
Amen.
Amen.
Mute, so I want to be static so you hear your prayer. But yes, thank you, God. Thank you for your prayers, Pastor Roy. And I thank you all for tuning in. Um, feel welcome to, you know, ask questions in the video if you need to, and we'll be happy to answer those. But hopefully we'll see you on March 13th and 14th at www.faithandmentalwellness.faith.
