A devotional on Ezekiel 37 about speaking life into dead situations. The speaker shares how God restores what seems hopeless—her shoulder healed through persistent prayer, and the same principle applies to marriages, finances, and friendships. Surround yourself with people who speak truth, be patient, and don't rush into relationships.

maybe a week ago, um, the Lord gave— had given me this word to share with our prayer line. And this word, it just keeps sticking with me. It just keeps sticking with me. And so, um, I want to share this word with you guys that, um, God had given me. And it is from, um, Ezekiel chapter 37, and it's about the Valley of the Dry Bones. And, um, I read this scripture before, and I've heard it in sermons before when I visited other ministries, um, but I'm revisiting it again because God told me to. And, uh, so anywho, so my prayer time, um, you know, I asked God, Lord, what do you want me to share with your people? And he said, tell them that they should live and not die. And I said, okay, Lord, so what scriptures do you want me to go to, to use to back up with, you know, what you're saying? And, um, to give, um, for Bible study. So he took me to Ezekiel chapter 37, and as I began reading it, I just got so excited. I'm not going to read the whole chapter because it's actually a long chapter, okay? So, um, some of you may know, some of you guys may not, Ezekiel is a prophet of the Lord, and God had called him specifically to, you know, do a lot of different things for, um, the children of Israel, um, during the specific time they were being very disobedient. They were, you know, losing hope. They had lost life, like spiritual life, right? And so sometimes, especially with, you know, with COVID last year, people dying left and right, people being sick, you know, we've lost, you know, so much. And God wants to restore us. He wants to give us, you know, um, hope again, um, and to heal. Um, and sometimes we have to speak life into the situations, not just ours but even for other people, right? Because people can be so broken and so, you know, weary and tired. And Israel was— Israel had lost hope. That's why God sent Ezekiel to pretty much correct them, um, to help them get back on track. And it came to a point where Ezekiel was tired since chapter 1. Um, in the book of Ezekiel, God had been talking to him and asking him to do certain things and tell them this and tell them that, and they weren't listening. And but so he, he gave up. So chapter 37 starts off with, you know, God giving Ezekiel a vision. Now Ezekiel had visions and dreams from God all the time. God spoke to him audibly. God gave him visions and dreams just like today, you know. So, um, in the beginning it says that the hand of the Lord was on me And he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley. It was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. And he asked me, Son of Man, can these bones live? And so, you know, I'm not going to read it detail for detail, but as he went on, God began to tell Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones. He told them to, you know, speak over the tendons, you know, speak life into, you know, into this, you know, into the skull, into the skeletons of these people which represented Israel, okay? Meaning that they were, you know, spiritually dead. So it goes down to the bottom. I'm gonna skip to 37, verse 14. I will put my spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I, I the Lord, have spoken and I have done it, declares the Lord. And so what God is saying to us, you know, in this hour is that we have to speak life. We have to prophesy over our situation. We have to speak life into other people. But here's the thing I want you to take away from this: God didn't only tell him just to speak it, but God was very specific about what it is that he wanted him to speak over. Like bone by bone, marrow, you know, marrow, all that. It was so detailed to me, and that stood out to me. And so not only that, if you see a dead situation in your life, or even in, you know, your friend or family or loved one's life, ask God to show you the roots. Ask God to show you specifically what it is that you need to speak over. That's how you really see a breakthrough. That's how you really see, you know, things come back to life. And And also, you know, be mindful that, you know, it takes time, it takes instructions. So don't expect sometimes to always have like an instant, you know, change on everything. You know, for example, you know, I shared before in a different live, you know, I had hurt my shoulder and God said, okay, I'm going to heal you, but it's going to take time. Continue to pray over your shoulder, continue to speak life into your shoulder, continue to, you know, do what you're supposed to do, you know, in the natural. So that way you can heal. And my shoulder is getting better. It's— I've came a long way. So that's the same thing with our marriages. That's the same thing with our children, um, people in leadership, people on our jobs, our bosses. Like, think about the things you've been praying for for a while, and sometimes we don't notice the small changes, okay? Change starts from the inside out. It doesn't start from the outside in. So God is already dealing with this situation, you know, deep down on the inside of us, right? And then over time it begins to manifest, you know, in the, in the natural, and we're able to see the physical evidence of what, you know, what we've been asking God for. So speak life, speak life into your situation, prophesy over it, you know, your finances. You know, some of you guys might not be working right now, you know, speak over that, you know. Don't lose hope, be in care, you know, be encouraged. Surround yourself with other believers who are going to encourage encourage you, who's going to give you the true word of God and what God is saying to you about your situation. And so, um, I do want to share a couple of things, um, really quickly, um, before I end. I'm not gonna be up here long. Um, so Ezekiel's vision reminds us that nothing and no one is too far gone for God to regenerate. God is able to resurrect dead dreams, missed opportunities, dying marriages and terminal friendships. He is God and he can do anything. And so God is not just the huge big things, but God cares about the little details as well because he wants to get the glory. And that's what God was telling Ezekiel, that speak over it, prophesy, because I, you know, want to get the glory. But think about what happened. He had to speak it. He had to speak it in faith. Speak it in faith. And sometimes I know for me, you know, when I go through certain things in my life, God will show me the end result in a dream. He will show me an expected end, right? Because in that time I want to give up. I don't want to keep going. I don't want to keep fighting. I don't want to have to keep going through the same, you know, thing over and over and over again. But in that, God is teaching me something. And for me to keep going, gotta either send someone to give me a word to encourage me I gotta give me a vision or a dream to show me an expected end, right? So today I want to encourage you guys, you know, to speak life into your situations. Um, also, I know tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day! Um, some of you guys who are single, who want relationship, who want marriage, there's nothing wrong with desiring that, okay? But, um, just keep in mind, um, don't rush, don't rush. Unless God has told you specifically that your time is now. And sometimes God will give you, or, you know, give you your husband or wife, you know, and you like, you look up and they're there, right? You meet them, and God will tell you that's him or that's her. But what I'm saying is that don't rush. Don't get into a relationship that's going to cause you distress because you want to, you know, prove a point to people. You don't want to be lonely. Spend time with God. Spend time on building, building up your life. Spend time building up your spirit, man. Spend time on, you know, asking God what it is that in your singleness what you should be doing. Because I'm gonna tell you one thing, before I got married, you know, I was single. Yeah, I'm still the same way. I'm still ambitious, you know. I'm still— I have a lot of drive, a lot of, you know, passion about different things. And I'm thankful that my husband is so supportive. But when I was single, I could definitely see that I could do a whole lot more. Because now I'm a wife, now I'm a mom, and so they come first before anything else, right? Of course God and my husband and my family. But you can do a lot in your singleness if you submit it to God. Give it to the Lord. Okay, so anywho, I hope you guys are having a great Saturday. Hope you guys have a great weekend. And I pray and I hope that this word has blessed you. So I'll talk to you soon. Bye.
