Two people discuss their biggest lessons: focusing on self-improvement instead of changing others, and accepting that growth takes time. Both wish they'd learned faster, but recognize their actual experiences shaped who they became.

One of the most valuable lessons that I learned in life was that I needed to work on myself more than everybody else around me. I think that has helped me out tremendously.
I think about that often, that's why. And if anything comes to mind, it's doing it faster. But I don't think we would have done anything differently because it was all the lessons that we learned through doing it the way we did. I think allowed us to have the result that we have, at least for me personally.
Yeah, well, I think that I could have learned my lessons faster. Yeah. And so if I could do anything differently, I would just have got over myself faster and learned my lessons faster.
Yep, exactly. Don't be so hard— when we say in the islands, hothead— don't be so hard-headed.
