Shane Yadao made more in one day running a side business than two weeks at his job in high school, which made him want to control his own income. His co-speaker never set out to be an entrepreneur but dropped out of college to build the life he wanted instead.
You know, I remember in high school I had started a little side business, and I remember I made more money in my little side business within a day than I did all 2 weeks at my job. And it was at that moment I go, hey, I need to do something that where I can, you know, kind of dictate or control, you know, the income that I had created. And I think that's where, you know, that's where it started really, where I wanted to, you know, kind of become an entrepreneur.
Yeah, I don't think I ever really made a decision, like a conscious decision that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I don't even think that I understood what that word was, but I knew how I wanted to live. Like I knew that I wanted a certain lifestyle, a certain outcome in life, and as I looked around in all the different professions, or even when I was going to college, or tried to go to college, I'm a complete college dropout, but you know, just looking at the different professions and you know, of course lifestyle doesn't always equate to money, but there was something in me that just always had these big goals and big dreams, and it's almost kind of like entrepreneurship just lined up with that. And so I don't know if I ever made a decision that I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but I just made the actions and the choices to move forward in that direction because of a desired result that I wanted in life.
