I say it goes back to scheduling, you know, but that's where I think it's great. What we found and what we do is that the working and the busyness of our life, it actually lays the platform or it lays out an environment that where we— it's like almost like where we have to work on our marriage, you know what I mean? Right? It's like, right, to do the work that we do, right? It requires that we work on our marriage. Why? Because we're an example. You know what I mean? Right? Why? We're parents, right? We're an example to people that we lead. And so it facilitates us working on our marriage.
Yeah, but you don't necessarily have to prioritize your marriage doing what we do. So how do you prioritize your marriage? Because you shifted in these last few months of prioritizing your marriage.
No, I always prioritize just maxed out in prioritization of my marriage. Yeah. But yeah, I mean, it just— yeah, it's hard. How did I process it? Get around information, read books, and really have the heart and the desire to prioritize my marriage. That's what it was. I think ultimately, how do you prioritize it? You have to desire it and want it. You know, of course, it's simple as scheduling, right? How do you prioritize your marriage? Schedule the things in your marriage prioritize it. I think that's it. But I think also it takes a desire to want to prioritize it to the outcome, right? What is the outcome that we want? So that's what I would say.
And ultimately, I think that within a marriage, if you build separate lives, meaning that, right, if I had my own career and Shane had his own career path, it would be a little bit more challenging to prioritize our marriage, and it would be more scheduled because we would have to schedule it in. Because what we chose to do with our life encompasses us being together. You know, it's just a choice, I think, a conscious effort choice. I watch you prioritize me, whether it's like a good morning in the morning, you know, because it's so easy to just kind of wake up and roll out of bed and, you know, not even say good morning anymore after especially 20, going on 21 years of marriage, you know. But you, every morning, as soon as he sees me, his eyes are like, yeah, like, good morning, you know.
Yes, the best way to prioritize your marriage is to prioritize your wife first. Put her needs over, over yours. That was a good one, babe. You're welcome.
No, just kidding.
