Peptides and Your Weight Loss Journey

In this episode of the Balanced Body Podcast, host John interviews Sherri Griggs, owner‑operator of Balanced Body Health & Wellness in Omaha, about the role of peptides in weight‑loss, hormone balance, and overall wellness. The conversation begins with John’s personal experience of increased energy, better sleep, and improved body‑composition after integrating hormone testing, DNA analysis, and targeted supplements. Sherri explains how peptides act at the cellular level—modulating inflammation, autophagy, mitochondrial function, and immune response—and how they can be matched to an individual’s genetic weak points. Specific peptides discussed include BPC‑157 (a gut‑protective, wound‑healing peptide), GHK‑Cu (copper peptide for collagen synthesis, skin, hair, and wound healing), CJC‑1295 (growth‑hormone‑releasing peptide, not ideal for autoimmunity), thymosin α‑1 (immune modulation), and NAD⁺ (a non‑peptide cellular energy molecule). She describes practical considerations such as oral versus injectable delivery, injection‑site reactions, and the importance of sourcing human‑grade, pharmacy‑compounded products rather than unregulated “research‑grade” supplies. The concept of peptide stacking is explored, highlighting the need for protocol‑driven sequencing to avoid adverse interactions and to identify which peptide is responsible for any side‑effects. Sherri emphasizes a data‑driven, personalized approach that starts with baseline labs, DNA‑guided weakness mapping, and lifestyle changes (e.g., gluten‑free diet, reduced sugar) before adding peptides. The episode concludes with a call‑to‑action: a $300 comprehensive hormone panel and consultation, free 15‑minute calls, and contact information for Balanced Body Medical.

Welcome to the Balanced Body Podcast, where Sherry Griggs, owner of Balanced Body Health and Wellness in Omaha, talks to us about health, wellness, and balancing hormones.
Welcome back to the Balanced Body Health and Wellness Podcast. We're based in Omaha, and we're with Sherry Griggs, owner-operator of Balanced Body Health and Wellness, hormone expert extraordinaire, aka The diver of hormones. How are you doing, Sherri?
I'm doing great, John. How are you?
Excited. I'm overly excited because today we're talking peptides. So—
We are talking about peptides.
Yeah.
And what I want to— I do want to, um, just kind of spin off just a smidgen for just a few minutes, because if you've been following us, you've been following John's journey, right? And, and, and John, it's actually in my tasks for tomorrow to follow up with you to see how you're doing. So don't we all wanna know how John's doing, right?
I think we do.
I think we do.
Inquiring minds wanna know.
You look great. I think it's probably time for you to come in for another InBody.
Yes.
So we can look at the muscle and the fat ratio, because in addition to the wellness plan and the DNA, We've added some testosterone. How are you feeling? Have you noticed a change?
I have.
I have noticed a change. I mean, look, the program itself as a whole, if I can just kind of speak super bluntly about it, is life-changing because you make big changes to what you're doing. And I've been telling people that I'm on a health journey, a health kick.
Yeah.
But it's more than that, honestly. The way in which you approach it, where it's— there's a lot of data, there's a lot of information, there's a lot to go on. It helps me to realize that these are things that could be shortfalls. These are things I need to avoid. These are things that I need to be mindful of. But also, I'm not doing it just on my own, which is, I think, what, you know, in my past, kind of trying to take my health first as a priority.
Mm-hmm.
Has always been— I mean, obviously I've got friends and family that jump in and help, but like, with the help of true hormones helping me to kickstart into what I need to be doing with my life, helping me make changes to my lifestyle, whether it be food, adding, you know, different nutrients to my diet with supplements, helping with adding hormones where I got shortfalls— like, these are all things that are helping me to just feel a little bit more invigorated, and I do, I honestly do feel a big change.
Good. More energy, right?
Yes, yes, more energy for sure.
More drive?
I have, okay, so the drive side, I feel like I've always had a high drive.
Okay.
So to be honest, I don't feel a difference there, but I'm already kind of revving pretty high anyways just because I've got my own dedication to that. But there is, it is easier to get up during the day, you know, from the morning into the day. I have a much better sleep cycle. I feel like I'm much more rested. I feel like I'm ready for the day. Like there's, it's a difference in not necessarily the drive itself, but what supports me to get up and go. So in that way, it's a positive change.
And, and we, and, you know, and the thing guys is it's not just one thing like John's saying, it's, It's many things, right? I mean, it's getting the inflammation, the inflammatory foods out. And, you know, maybe in the past, sometimes it's like, where do I start, right? Like, I see these posts all the time where people say, hey, this is happening to me, I need some advice. And here's somebody that says, oh, I went to this— this, a lot of times it's an MLM— and I took these skinny drops and look at how much weight I lost. I'm wonderful. Okay, well, that's great. That worked for you, but it doesn't mean it'll work for me. So everybody— so then when you think about it, it's like, so what do I do, right? And maybe you try one thing and it's— there's no guidance, it's too hard, you have nothing to go on, and you're like, oh, forget it, I'm not getting anything out of this.
Mm-hmm.
You know, where here you have so much, like you said, so much information, but also so much guidance and support. And, um, we continue, you know, we didn't, you know, we didn't do it bam all at once on you. There were things that you've been gradually changing and not just a health journey, but it's literally a lifetime journey.
It is. And I feel that, I feel that difference and it's a positive one for sort of longevity or what it is that we're changing in life.
Right.
I mean, you know, some of the simple ones to articulate is that we came back with our tests and we've already talked about this, but being gluten-free now, That's normally a hard one to take on, but because of the process that you've kind of implemented initially, you get rid of so many other things that you're like, well, so what? I can't have this, but I can still have these other things.
Yeah, right. There were 2 whole pages of stuff you could have. And that's one of the things that I like about that because, you know, here are the things you can't have, and that's what most things are. You can't have this. Now you're like, oh, so what do I eat? I can't eat anything. But then you look at these 2 pages and you're like, oh, I can eat all of this stuff. So it doesn't feel as painful. I mean, I do know I go to a restaurant, I make my husband let me smell his dinner roll because I can't eat it. I'm gluten-free. I know you— I went to an event yesterday, a networking event, you know, and, and it was at the Brownie Bar. Great place. But they had all this gluten, right? They had little donut holes and these little cupcakes and these little this and that. I couldn't touch a thing. No, I couldn't touch it. And, um, it's not as hard as it used to be, but you know, there's that side of me that goes, I just, I just like to just want, right? But I didn't.
Well, you're brave. You're brave. And I know that as it goes through time, sometimes it can be a little bit easier to just say no, but it's still hard every single time. And honestly, like, again, it's these, it's these little changes that build up. And I feel like they are allowing me to live just a little bit slightly different life that I want to be living, which is helping me to be more energetic, to live a little bit differently like I want to, and kind of get back some of that joie de vivre, as they would say in France.
So, well, that's wonderful. So, so there you go. So, you know, we— I think, you know, each time we talk, we'll just Maybe, you know, if we do a little change here, a little there, you know, add a little something and just keep that forward momentum for you. And, you know, once you hit that plateau, and eventually you will, now maybe that plateau is exactly where you want to be. You feel great. We love, you know, the fat to muscle ratio, and maybe it's not. So we need a little bit more help. There's so many things that we can do. That just don't— they don't even have to involve medications or drugs. Or, you know, when we know your DNA and what you're working with and we know where things are. So I have another patient that, you know, we just put her on the scale and she gained muscle. That's great. Still lost fat, but was carrying like 25 pounds of water.
Hmm.
Additional than usual.
Sugar.
We believe it's sugar. So I'm like, you gotta stay off sugar for a couple weeks and let's recheck this again because of the inflammation. I mean, it is sadly, regardless of your DNA, sugar is still poison. And, you know, I— did I just eat a piece of dark chocolate? Did it have sugar in it? Yes, but that was it, right?
Yeah, and sugar's a hard one. Sugar is definitely— I, I feel for her because honestly, sugar is one of those ones that's tough.
And that was in your DNA. It's not that you're a weak person or that you have an addiction. There's anything wrong with you. I mean, this is what's in your genetic DNA, that sugar is something you love, right?
It is.
So you just know, you're like, I'm just fighting this. And, and eventually it does get easier. I mean, it really eventually gets easier to where you don't have to be scared if you have a piece of chocolate that now you're going to want to have it all the time. Because that will kind of go away.
I was just going to jump in and say, so it sounds like really the peptides have kind of a lot of different roles within the body.
Not just many, so many roles. Um, they can work with the inflammatory process. So if somebody has a bunch of inflammation, then you just need a little more of this peptide that normally kept that inflammation down when you were younger. How many kids walk around with inflammation? Think about it. Oh, my knee is swollen. Oh, my fingers are sore. Right? I get up in the morning and everything aches. They don't have any of that.
Yeah.
Because they have a lot of peptides.
Okay.
Still in their body. Um, so it talks about cellular autophagy, mitophagy, and apoptosis. Again, that's part of the cell cycle. Um, mitochondrial function. In my DNA testing, My mitochondrial doesn't— mitochondrial function is lacking. So that means it was lacking from the day I was born. DNA doesn't change. So I am, in order for my body to assist my body, take something to assist my mitochondrial function.
So it seems like they could be like very targeted, very specific kind of peptides.
Um, they can. Which is, um, now there— so there, there are some supplements that are the precursors, right?
Okay.
So I'm taking something called ATP 360, which is a precursor which supports my mitochondrial function. Now peptides, for instance, here I'm going to give you— I'm going to give you an example of one I've used. So there is something that Dr. Seeds and, um, Dr. Carl— and I always forget his last name, I just call him Dr. Carl— They gave— I went to the— when they gave— went to the class, they gave us the protocol, right, for LADA. So LADA is latent— oh my gosh— autoimmune diabetes in adults. So late, late, old, late, later, late adult diabetes autoimmune. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's when you get type 1 as an adult. And most people that get type 1, which is what used to be called Juvenile diabetes. In fact, um, the juvenile diabetes isn't— and so they don't even use that name anymore. I don't remember, TID something. Type 1 diabetes is their new name because so many adults get it, and generally they're— they still have beta cells that make insulin. But what we want to do is we want to regenerate the beta cells, and they are doing that with peptide—
peptides.
Um, in the protocol. And there are 6 peptides in the protocol that you need to use, and I've used 2 of them. The third one I'm already on, so there are a couple more. And one is— one is even the growth hormone.
Oh wow.
About growth hormone, right? Growth hormone, growth hormone-releasing hormone, and growth hormone-releasing peptides. So they, they support the metabolic and immune function in autoimmune diseases.
Wow.
Right?
So, so from your perspective, from like, you know, helping, helping somebody like me on my health journey, when does it make sense to start talking about which peptides to look at potentially? Try and why?
Well, I— and so for me, we— I want to get the baseline in, in control, right? In as best shape as it can be. And the baseline being how you're eating, the inflammation in your body, getting your hormones balanced, because everything works together in our body. It's all about homeostasis, keeping things balanced. So for you, I would say it would be when you hit that plateau. When you're like, Sherri, I'm not getting— I'm working out, I'm not gaining more muscle. I still have X amount maybe of body fat I want to lose. I, I feel like I could have more energy or I feel like I could be stronger. Then we are going to go back. We look at your DNA again. Where were your weak areas? Is there a peptide that could support that area?
Mm-hmm.
But then there are also peptides that help. There's one, BPC-157, which I haven't even tried myself, but it's like a miracle peptide. Everyone who takes it says, I either have more energy or I sleep better, and I notice it right away.
Hmm, interesting.
And it's a pretty— it's a safe one. It's even one the FDA is okay with, okay? So that means that, you know, they gave up and said, yeah, you can use it. That's one you can use orally. They have studies out there that the oral BPC-157 is not changed through the first pass through the liver, where our body can still use it the way we need it. A lot of peptides are injectables because we don't want the stomach acid or the liver to break them down, right? We want them to get directly to our tissues and to our cells that need them.
Okay, so when you're looking at peptides, sorry to interject, but like, will they have a name like that, like BPC-157?
Most of the time, that's what that one's called. There are, um, there's a CJC-1295, this is a GHK-Cu, Um, um, right. Gotcha. Different thymosin alpha-1, which is the one I also did. And, um, I can honestly say I did the copper peptide, I added, and I made sure I didn't have any bad reactions or anything strange. Then I added the thymosin alpha-1, and I don't know that, um, I can't say that I physically noticed a change or anything different. The idea is they work on the cellular level. Um, I am doing an NAD+ nasal spray that I don't get sore really when I work out anymore. It's amazing.
So NAD+ is one too?
That's, that's nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. Yeah, but it's not a peptide. Um, Okay. There's so much, so much. And, and, you know, I always tell people, I don't, I don't, I don't ask my patients to do something I wouldn't do, right?
Yeah.
So I have tried, um, different— say I brought up this, see, it's nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It's a molecule, okay? It's good for cellular energy, boosts metabolism, healthy aging, improving cognitive function, aiding in muscle— this is potentially aiding in muscle recovery, but I already know it aids in my muscle recovery.
Oh.
Side effects? Zero. Nothing. Now, the copper peptide, on the other hand, let me tell you about that.
Uh-oh.
The first injection I did— okay, so let me tell you what copper peptide does, okay? It activates wound healing, including gastric. So somebody has an ulcer, wants to heal their ulcer quicker, GHK-Cu. It's an antioxidant, it's an anti-inflammatory, it stimulates collagen. Stimulates collagen. I was talking to my dermatologist and I was telling her about it and she goes, huh? What? I go, oh, they make it for the face. I had this dry spot on my face because I was using my injectable and putting it in some face cream and I made it too strong.
Oh.
But you can actually get, um, from a compounding pharmacy. But I do believe it— I don't know if it's a prescription or not. It might be because— but the push patch is not a prescription, other stuff isn't. So I'm not sure if the compounding pharmacy is required as a prescription, but they make a face cream. Because it stimulates collagen. They also make a hair gel because where most hair loss products help the living follicle produce more hair, GHKCU copper peptide doesn't just stimulate follicles; it regenerates follicles.
Wow!
So hair loss treatment normally they would look to see if you still had living follicles. If you did, then there yeah we can help you. But if you didn't have follicles, they'll say, "Huh." Too bad, so sad. You don't even have any follicles, but GHKCU can, um, can help.
Wow, that's pretty crazy.
It is totally crazy. Stimulate hair growth, tighten loose skin, improve elasticity, improve skin density and firmness, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce photo damage and hyperpigmentation, stimulate nail growth. Defends against tumors, improves stem cells, stimulates the collagens and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in skin fibroblasts. So it's, it's amazing, right?
Yeah.
Possible side effects could be really a copper toxicity. So that was it. Copper toxicity is not good. But I started out with a baseline copper. Make sure my nail— you know, your nails can turn blue. I didn't get any of that. What I got is it burns. So the first time I put it in my thigh thinking— and I went to bed and then it felt like somebody was sticking me with a hot poker. It was horrible.
Oh my gosh.
So then I thought, well, maybe you don't put it there and then just lay down. I put it in my arm and it wasn't so bad, but it made sore spots that lasted and bruises. So, um, injection site reaction is very common with anything you inject, but, but it'll tell, tell us, right? There was no injection site with the, um, with the thymosin alpha-1 issues. Didn't burn, didn't notice it was there. It was a bit more fluid. It was a little bit bigger injection, but it was every 3rd day, not every day. So, um, these things can really They can do a lot. I mean, it's— yeah.
Wow, that's crazy. I was gonna say, one of the things I noticed in prepping for all of this is one of the supplements that I take is the, um, the drink, the shake.
Uh-huh.
The ClearVite shake, the CLA. It has peptides, but it doesn't have a name. I was looking to see if it had a name in it. But it talks about collagen. And I was, I was wondering if like they're mostly for collagen, but they just seem like they're— they can be used in so many different ways. It's crazy.
Well, and for the shake, that the collagen in that shake is for the protein, right? My other shakes are bone, are bone broth protein.
Yeah.
So, um, but you want a complete protein, so it's, uh It is. It's interesting. I'm looking at the thymosin alpha-1.
It's used—
it says conditions that require immune response modulation, right? So modulation means we're gonna even out the soldiers and the generals, okay?
Mm-hmm.
For instance, CJC-1295 increases the immune system. Not good for somebody with autoimmunity. I don't need a more robust— I don't need more soldiers. Right? I need the generals, the ones that say pull back. So modulation, this is used for treatment of hepatitis B and C, treatment of HIV and AIDS, cancer treatment instead of chemotherapy.
Wow.
Malignant melanoma. I better keep taking that one. It can treat Lyme disease. It can be—
that's crazy. I thought that Lyme disease was like untreatable.
Oh, it's treatable. It can be hard to get rid of, but it's treatable. It's not fun. Um, as an adjunct to flu vaccines, especially in geriatrics, treatment of chronic inflammatory autoimmune conditions like fibromyalgia, to fight sepsis. Sepsis is when you have an infection through your body. Okay.
Amazing.
Uh, metabolic syndrome, weight management, insulin resistance, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune, cancer, um, depression, dysbiosis, food allergies. I mean, it's just the things they can do are just amazing.
That's wild. That's crazy. So, um, now, now one thing I did notice when I was kind of doing a little bit of research about So at least I have a baseline to ask, you know, my simple questions. Um, it seems like a lot of people talk about peptide stacking, and that's something I didn't quite understand. Is it exactly what I think it is, where it's like people take multiple different peptides to kind of make more of a broad-based shotgun approach, or do you really take them more as like, I need this one for this and this one for this? You're kind of like really just Picking and choosing which one you want to go after?
Well, there are protocols, right? So I could potentially, with my LADA protocol, I could stack all these peptides and do them all at once. I really don't want to do that many shots, and I like to know with even my patients, what did you react to, right? So let's say I start all 4 of these together all at the same time. and I get some sort of reaction, I don't know which one it is.
Hmm.
We can guess, well, maybe it's this one, right? Maybe that's what's causing it, uh, you know, maybe, and you don't know. So now we don't know, um, if you don't have a lot of experience with it and know, for instance, that there's a certain side effect with a peptide almost all the time, But if you give this other one with it, it's going to increase that side effect. So that's why you need to work with someone who knows what they're doing. You don't want to get peptides. There are— you can go on the internet and buy them frequently. They say, what do they say? Not for human use, only for animals, or only for testing or something. And you don't want to use those. There's a reason they say that. There's a lot of people that'll go online and just buy them because They can.
Oh my gosh, so they're like basically testing on themselves something that's not made for human use. It sounds crazy.
It is.
And, and I, I mean, it's, it's just not, um, yeah. So why would you do that? I mean, um, because maybe that's the only way you can get them.
Right.
Oh yeah, I didn't think about that.
I—
and that's the thing is, you know, I did notice that there is a high search volume for peptides, not only what they are but which ones you should take for which thing. So like when you were rattling off some of these names, I had actually come across some of them.
Yeah.
So I I just didn't know if they were real. Like the one that I saw most about was CJC-1295, and I was like, that's not a real name, come on.
And that's what I mentioned, right? Not good for autoimmune people.
Yeah, yeah.
So because that's a big one, that's also one that's very common out there, very easy to use, um, because people know about it. Um, and let's see, I, I'm pretty certain that it increases the immune Um, and that's, uh, gonna make sure I don't misspeak, but that's why you don't give it to, um, it's a growth hormone releasing peptide.
Yeah, that's the one that—
Yeah.
No, like you're saying, you're at a plateau but you want to burst through the, you know, the floor or whatever, whatever the terminology is, like, yeah, making that slight little change to kind of give you the edge.
Right.
And it's— you're, you're able to look at it from the perspective of we've already built the baseline, you're already living your life to this degree, you're already doing the things that'll get you to that point. And that's key. I mean, look, that is huge because working towards your goal to make it happen, right, hard— it's hard to do. It's not impossible, especially when you stack the cards somewhat in your favor. By getting you to feel a little bit more like yourself. And I think that's something I'm noticing more now that I'm on this side of it than I did before, before this whole journey. Because it just seemed crazy initially.
Yeah, and that's why I keep throwing out there, you know, you— I wanted you to do this before we look at introducing. I mean, there are people that won't do all the work you did and they just expect they take a peptide and the world changes. And nothing is that miracle. Even when everybody thought, you know, your semaglutide, your GLP-1, your Ozempic was this miracle, and it was a miracle, and I took it, and everything's wonderful. Now the truth is coming out.
Yeah.
80% of the people put the weight back on. Oh my gosh, all these people that had pancreatitis, all these people that have issues now with peristalsis of their stomach. And I mean, it's just all these problems are finally coming out. Nothing is a miracle, right? But, but if you look at— so real quick for BPC-157, I think we're probably running out of time, but it's, it's a body protection compound. That's what BPC stands for.
Okay.
Yeah, accelerate wound healing including tendon to bone and ligament damage. So think about it, if you have a knee problem, if you have a shoulder issue An ACL issue, right? Um, maybe you can heal that with BPC-157.
Oh my gosh, that's like game-changing for somebody.
Yeah, it's used when there's an injured muscle, tendon, ligament, or bone. So let's think about that. When you're lifting heavy, you're doing micro— you're making micro tears in your muscle. This is going to help it repair. If it repairs quicker, you have quicker recovery, you're able to do more. It helps improve mucosal— GI mucosal integrity. So the mucus in our stomach Helps in the integrity of that, so you're less likely to have stomach inflammation, irritation, ulcers, things like that. If you're maybe somebody that has to take an NSAID, right, anti-inflammatory, or even a drinker, I think I need to take this. Improves cell survival under oxidative stress. You hear a lot about oxidative stress. It's gonna help the cell. It improves— okay, we're gonna— I'm not gonna get into some of these big words. Um, it improves nerve regeneration.
Wow.
Think about what would happen after you had surgery. What could this do for you?
Wow.
Decreases neural inflammation and may help with depression. May help regular— regulate blood pressure.
So it's just like, yeah, again, it just, you know, they seem like they can do so much for you. And especially like you said, once you kind of like— I'm just gonna harp on inflammation real quick because one of the things I'm doing with what I'm working at is trying to decrease inflammation from my body by staying away from gluten, you know.
Mm-hmm.
That peptide being introduced after I've already done that hard work so that it's not having to go uphill against me eating a bunch of gluten that's making me, you know, inflammatory, I guess. I don't even know if that's the right way to say it, but either way, like, if I'm helping it to get to a certain point where it can just push it over the edge to help that anti-inflammatory response, then that's awesome.
Yeah.
That's totally cool.
Right, and with autoimmunity, right, so CJC-1295, not good for people with autoimmunity, so, you know, we also have our low-dose naltrexone that's helping with our inflammation, so let's add some BPC-157, my friend.
Okay.
And then we can talk about it.
Sounds great.
Let's do it.
Um, well, so, okay, Now, if you find yourself in a situation or a mindset that you want to make a big change, let— I mean, I can attest to how Sherri approaches this, and it is, it is heaping with data and, you know, making sure that you do it what's right for you, because each body is— it's what it— what's the saying? Oh my gosh, I'm— I'm It's for everybody. It's for everybody.
For your body.
For your body. Yes. Yes.
So that's the plan, the Balanced Body Blueprint, right? And, and, and that's what John's been doing. And that's right. It's not, it's not one of those where, oh, we got this program, just come here and you can just count these points and the world is good, or just drink this shake and, and take this pill and, or these skinny shots or these skinny drops and you're gonna look like me, right? Um, mine's not like that. It's not— it, again, it's not for everybody. We make it for your body. Some of the things we do, some of the things we've added, some of the things that we did for John might not be for the next person.
And in fact, uh, when you and I sat down, not to, not to say that, you know, it's exactly how that happened, but we were looking at something and you're like, well, most everybody that I test, this is actually 180 on on them versus what you got as your results, because this is what's going to be important for you going forward. I think specifically it was for like something that works for me is doing, uh, fasting. And yeah, not very many people have that from your standpoint of helping. So, you know, everyone—
sometimes it's people, it's bad for some people.
Yeah. So Case in point, my plan is not going to be your plan for sure. Well, shoot, and this is not to bring it right round to peptides, but that's what it seems like originally when we were planning on talking about peptides. I thought there was just a bottle, you know, called peptides, and you just, you know, you take it or whatever. But that's not how it is. There's specific peptides for specific uses across everything, and I think that that translates. Perfectly into how you look at it and how you attack. This is your plan for you, right?
And I mean, I know there's a supplement company out now that's like, here, take these peptides, this is perfect. And I'm thinking, huh, is it really? Is it really going to be perfect for me? What does it do? Does it say boost your immune system? If it says that, then it's probably not good for me, right? And so it's important To know what you're taking, um, to, to talk to somebody, to, to talk to an expert, talk to somebody that has the experience. Um, I had a patient come in the other day and she plopped this supplement down and she said— I'm looking at her thyroid results, I said, your results are weird, why are they like this, this is so strange, and she's not taking any thyroid medication, she plops this down, I go, oh crap, that's a thyroid medication, and she goes, no, it's a supplement. I go, but it's got thyroglandular in it. It's just like a medicine. It needs to be followed just like a medicine. You need lab work. You need to watch it. You can get hyperthyroidism. And so there are supplements out there that can be very dangerous.
Yeah, you don't know what you're doing, which is crazy because a lot of times I think, I think a lot of people think of supplements as extra credit. You know, credit. It's like, oh, I'm just gonna take this because I think I need it. And you can get yourself into problems if you're not watching the right things.
So you have to be careful. And then there are the people that say, well, supplements do nothing. You're just— this is nothing. That's not going to do anything. It's just a waste of your money. Well, they do stuff.
They really do.
So, so if you're interested, um, go to my website. BalancedBodyMedical.com. And actually, for the month of April, I'm running a special. For $300, you can get a consultation, you can get your blood work, a comprehensive hormone panel that does include everything, the thyroid, and then the follow-up to go over your results for $300. And there's a special spot to sign up. In fact, I believe— yeah, oh, go to my website, it pops right up there and gives you the opportunity. Yeah, because website people are awesome. And so, um, I— oh, that's right, they know you're my website person, don't they? Okay, yeah, so John is awesome and his wife is amazing. And so, um, it's, it's something to do, to think about. And, um, I also do free 15-minute calls, so if you're thinking about peptides or you have more questions even about anything we've gone over, just feel free to sign up and I love to talk about it.
