In this tutorial, the presenter demonstrates how to add a watermark—or any image or video overlay—to a video using the Videoshop editing app. The process begins by opening the video, selecting the “Impose” tool, and navigating to the Photos tab to choose an image. The speaker explains how to handle images with and without transparent backgrounds, emphasizing the need to save transparent PNGs to the camera roll so they retain transparency upon import. Once selected, the image can be pinched to resize, dragged to the desired screen location (e.g., bottom‑right corner), and rotated if needed. The duration bar can be adjusted to make the overlay appear for the entire video or a specific time segment (e.g., 30 seconds). The same steps apply to overlaying other photos—such as a picture of the presenter’s son playing hockey—or even video clips, illustrating the flexibility of the Impose feature to enhance perceived video value. The tutorial is concise, step‑by‑step, and highlights practical tips for positioning, sizing, and timing overlays.

So adding a watermark to your video is pretty simple. We're going to go back into the editor and we're going to choose Impose. So in this case, I have my video open. I'm going to hit Impose and I'm going to go to the Photos tab. Now I know that my logo is way far back. It's way up in here. So you find your photo. Now in this case, actually, if I click this, I don't think this one has a transparent background. No, it doesn't. And that's okay. I mean, I could still use that as a watermark. All I would do is I would then pinch this with my fingers on the screen and make it as small or as large as I like, and then I could just drag this into the position that I like, let's say in the bottom right-hand corner. In this case, this image does not have a transparent background, but you could choose one with a transparent background. All you'd have to do is make sure that you save it to your camera roll that way, and when you import it, it will have a transparent background. You can also again change the duration. So if you want your logo to, your watermark to appear throughout the entire duration of your video, then you would just change this duration bar to the length of the video in question. So this just continues to go on and on and on. You make that last throughout the entire video should you choose to, or if you don't want to, you just want it to last, let's say, you know, 30 seconds, then you can have that appear there as well. But really simple to add an actual watermark. Same goes for any other photos that you want to overlay. So say I wanted to overlay a picture of my son playing hockey. I could do that. So I could just go like that. I would just, again, I'm just dragging this with my fingers and I'm expanding it, and now that picture will be over— imposed over top of the actual video. So you can imagine the possibilities here. You can turn this if you want to. Of course, I don't know why you'd want to do that necessarily, but Maybe in certain cases you'd want to move that around, but suffice to say that you can add pretty much any type of either, again, video, photos, what have you on top of it, but really a great way to, again, increase the perceived value of your video.
