A founder walks through GoHighLevel's Brand Voice and Design Kit tools to set up consistent visual and voice identity without hiring an agency. Use NotebookLM to fill out brand questionnaires, then apply logos, colors, and fonts once across all your emails, websites, and funnels. When most people hear the word brand, they immediately think logo, colors, fonts, maybe a nice website. And those things matter, but not in the way that you might think. Your brand is what people say about you when you're not in the room. It's really more about your reputation than anything else. It's the impression that you leave with others. It's what someone tells their colleague when they recommend you. So stay with me here because I also want to show you two features inside GoHighLevel, which is our CRM of choice here at IconMaker, and to help you get the visual side of your brand right and to do it quickly without overcomplicating it. So let me be very clear about something here because I think it frees a lot of people up when they hear this. You do not need a complete brand identity suite to start building a high-ticket offer business. You don't need brand archetypes, a brand manifesto, a color psychology deep dive, or a 40-page brand guidelines document before you are allowed to show up and sell. That kind of thinking is what keeps talented, capable people stuck in preparation mode instead of out in the market doing the work. Your reputation is built through action, through the quality of your work, through how you show up for your clients, through the results that you create, through your consistency over time, and through what people experience when they are in your world. That is what builds a brand. And no logo, no matter how beautifully designed or how much you spent on it, can manufacture that. So here's where the visual piece, though, does come in and why it still does matter. The visuals, the voice, the consistency of how you present yourself— these are unconscious signals. When someone lands on your website, opens your email, or sees your content, they're forming an impression of you before they've read a single word, before they've consciously decided anything. And that impression either reinforces the reputation that you're building, or it creates friction. It makes people question, even subconsciously, whether you are the real deal. So the goal isn't to build a perfect brand from day one. The goal is to make some clear, intentional initial decisions so that your visuals are working for you rather than against you while you focus on doing the work that actually builds your reputation. And that's it. Simple initial choices, professional presentation, and then you build out over time as your business grows, as you're making money, which is exactly what these two specific features inside GoHighLevel are designed to help you do and which I'm going to demonstrate for you today. GoHighLevel has two of these features I think every expert entrepreneur should set up from day one: brand voice and the design kit. Brand voice is where you define how you sound, your tone, your personality, your communication style. And once that's set up, the AI references it every time it generates content for you. So instead of generic copy, you're going to get content that actually sounds like you. The design kit is where you define how you look— your colors, your fonts, your logo— and once it's saved, GHL applies them automatically across everything you create inside the platform— emails, websites, funnels, and all of that. Neither of these requires you to have everything figured out though. They simply ask you to make some initial decisions, commit to them, and then move forward. That is the whole point of this. So let me show you how it works, and I'll go over to my computer now. So I'm inside my GoHighLevel account. I'm under the marketing tab on the left, and you'll see at the top we have marketing. There are social planner, emails. Brand boards is where we're focusing right now. And in brand boards, we have design kit and brand voice, which we're going to demonstrate today. And you can see there's a blue button here, add design kit. And you can also go over here to brand voice and add brand voice. Now, Before we get to adding in this information, what I like to do is I like to use NotebookLM. So NotebookLM is a tool that you can utilize. I've used it in this particular case with this particular notebook for our Icon Maker 2026 brand business document, where we're going in 2026. And so I've uploaded a whole bunch of sources and I'll have another video on NotebookLM and how to utilize this. But suffice to say, you have a bunch of sources in here, and from these sources, you can chat with it in the middle about anything you want specific to only those sources. It's not out in the general AI website world, ChatGPT. This is kind of more contained. And so because of that, I'm only leveraging the sources that are inside my notebook in order to get answers to questions. So you can see here what I've done in advance of recording this video is I asked it, I said, I'm going to, I think I wrote it here. Here are the questions that I'm going to need answered. And I wrote here, I'm creating my brand voice document in GoHighLevel. And these are the questions that it's asking me. Can you give me the answers so I can quickly copy and paste them? The questions come from here. When you're creating a new brand voice, it's going to ask you for your business information. It's going to ask you for your location and contact information. Brand communication and personality. And so what I did was I copied all of this, right? And I went over to my NotebookLM and said, hey, can you help me create and answer these questions based on these sources? So it already has all my business information, and from there it generated all the answers. Then I copied and pasted all of these into these areas here: target audience, customer pain points, brand promise, brand values, what does your brand do, etc. Once that happens, you can rename your brand voice here, and then you save your brand voice. So as I click into the Iconmaker brand voice here, you'll see what mine looks like in a moment. I'll click in and I'll move past the information that I can't show on camera. Okay, so I've just skipped through the personal information at the top, and you can see here brand voice and communication, tone of voice, target audience, etc., etc. And I've just copied and pasted that in from my NotebookLM into my brand voice document. So that's really the work that you have to do in order to create your brand voice. Again, I'm using NotebookLM. You could use ChatGPT, you could use any LLM of your choice, have a chat with it, but at some point you will have to decided on those foundational elements of your business in order to be able to effectively answer the questions required to create your brand voice here in GoHighLevel. So if you haven't already done that, that is definitely foundational and something that we have our clients do right out of the gate because that foundation allows you to be able to create other assets from it. So that's brand voice. We go back here to Design Kit. You can see a completed brand kit that I've created for Icon Maker. And this is as simple as choosing your logo and uploading it, your colors here, and your typography. So you just choose whichever one you want from the list available. I do not think there is a way to add another font in here. Oh, there is actually. I see it here. Add font. No, this isn't allow— this is allowing you to add an additional font but not to add a font to the list. So I don't think there is. It's a fairly extensive list already, so you should be able to find what you're after. But if you have something unique, maybe it wouldn't be listed there and you could find something similar. So I'll just remove that last font. So typography colors again, coming back here, you want to come in here and add either by RBG, RGB rather, RGB or hex code. I usually use hex. And so you'd put in the colors in here. Some of you who are using Canva, for example, maybe you've created a brand kit in Canva. You just copy and paste the hex codes directly in here, and then you just identify what those colors are. Then back over here to your logo. Again, I uploaded one with a transparent background and then one with a white background just for variety. You can, I think you only have two logo options here. So This is what your brand kit looks like, and then you just save your board. So that's pretty straightforward. Again, you can click the pencil icon and rename your design kit here. So it's really as simple as that. Creating your design kit, creating your brand voice takes a little bit more effort, I would say, to create. And then once you've done that, you click on your three dots over here. You can clone it, you can edit it, or you can delete it. As you go forward. I want to come back to where we started because this is really important. Your brand is your reputation, and your reputation is built over time through the quality of your work, the consistency of your presence, and the results that you create for the people that you serve. The visual and the voice decisions that we just set up and demonstrated inside GoHighLevel, yeah, they're not really your brand. They're the packaging. And good packaging does matter because it signals to the market that you take yourself seriously. That you're professional and that you're worth paying attention to. But don't let the packaging become the project. Get it set up, make the initial decisions, look the part, be consistent, and then pour your energy into the work that actually builds your reputation. Show up, deliver, create results, have more conversations. That is truly what makes you iconic in your market. Not the font that you choose. If you want to get started with GoHighLevel and set up your brand voice and design kit like I've shown you today, click on the link in the description below this video to start your 30-day free trial of GHL, and I'll see you in the next video.
