Sheryl Plouffe shows how to change caption colors on Facebook videos through the Captions Display editor. You can pick from six background colors, adjust opacity to 45%, and scale text from 100% to 150% to match your brand.

I am a video marketing consultant and coach and longtime TV broadcaster, and I just discovered something very cool on Facebook with regard to captions.
Now you can actually change the color of your captions, and I'm going to show you how. Here's an example of a video that I did just, I think yesterday or the day before, and how I added—

Pops off the screen. So I wanted to show you how to do that. What I did was I went into— let's see here, I have to remind myself how I did this— More Settings. Hang on, I gotta go back to More Settings. And then I went right into this little button here, the Captions Display. First of all, I had to turn it on. It says Always Show Captions. I turned that to on. I think the default is off. But you turn it to on, and then what I did was I went into edit, and you can actually change. Now there aren't that many options for the colors, the background. Originally it was black, and I thought, "Oh, I wonder what other colors we have." Oh, look, blue. I mean, we've got some beautiful colors in here— red, magenta, white, and yellow you could use. Now obviously with the yellow, you'd probably want to change the text color to likely be, let's say, black. So if that was maybe your brand colors, you might want to change it to that. In this case, I really like the white with the magenta, which follows my brand colors at this point. You can change the opacity of the background of the caption, so if you want it to be fully opaque, you could change that as well. So I just left it at 45, and you can change the text size as well. So right now it's at 100%. Let's try 150. There you go. It can make it a lot bigger. So there's different options here for you. Just save the changes And it's as simple as that. So really great stuff. I think this is awesome for personal branding to be able to go in and really change the colors of your captions on your Facebook videos. So I hope that's helpful for you.
