Hi, I'm Sheryl Plouffe, national TV broadcaster and video marketing expert for entrepreneurs. I help business owners, coaches, consultants to create videos without needing to have everything perfect, without needing to write long video scripts and memorize text and have to do retake after retake. And I'm also a big proponent of not writing video scripts. However, there are some exceptions. In today's video, I want to talk about teleprompters. Right? So if you're gonna use a teleprompter, obviously you're using a video script. And even though I'm not a big proponent of using video scripts and teleprompting for free content videos or blog posts or vlogs, if you will, sort of the front end of your business, all that free content that you're creating to entice people to become part of your tribe, there are some instances where using a teleprompter is actually a good thing. We're gonna talk about that in another video. What I want to focus on, on this video, to keep it short, is a checklist. So this is presuming that you've decided, yes, I need to use a teleprompter, say, to do a sales page, for example, or something like that, and you want to use an iPad teleprompter. That's typically an entry-level type teleprompter that you might use in your business and marketing videos. So this is an iPad teleprompter checklist, real quick, to give you an outline of the things you're going to need. Now I'm going to include all the links of some recommendations that I think would be beneficial to you if you're in entry-level teleprompting. And you don't need to spend a fortune to do teleprompting, so I'm gonna give you some links on that. But here's the list you're going to need. You're going to need the hardware. You're gonna need the glass and the frame part of the teleprompter unit itself. So you're gonna need the hardware, that being number 1. Now you might possibly need a up to 2 tripods, full-length tripods. Now it depends, it depends on what your camera setup is and which teleprompter hardware package you go with. In my particular case, I need 2 tripods because I put one of the— one of the tripods is used for the teleprompter unit, the hardware, and then the other tripod is used for my camera setup. So it really kind of depends on your own situation, but you might need up to 2 tripods. Of course, you're going to need an iPad, haha, or a tablet. You're gonna need that. And then you're also going to need a video script. So you're gonna have to have written out the video script that you would then load up into the last piece of this equation, which is the app, the application, or the software program. I'm gonna leave some links for both recommendations as far as an app is concerned and also for a software program. Some are free, some you have to pay for, but They're not really that expensive. It just really depends more on personal preference. So if you've decided, yes, I do need to have a teleprompter, I do need to write a script in a particular case, say for business or marketing videos, typically they are longer form type scripts, then that's your checklist. Let's review: hardware, possibly up to 2 tripods depending on your camera setup, the iPad itself or the tablet, a script, a video script that you've written, and an app or software program.
