You may have seen repurposing of YouTube videos to IGTV or Instagram Television, but did you know that you can repurpose your IGTV videos to YouTube with a little bit of a twist? Normally, if you take a vertical video like the one I'm doing now and you upload it to YouTube, this vertical video will have black bars on either side, and it's It's okay, but there's a better way of doing it. And the better way of doing it is to download this IGTV video, which I will do, and I'm going to edit that video in an app, a video editing app called InShot. And there probably are other video editing apps that you could use to alter the background, but I personally love InShot for this reason, because I'm able to change the backdrop to a color, a gradient. I could change it to a pattern. So rather than having this IGTV video on YouTube with black bars on either side, I can have it with different colors. And maybe that is my— maybe it's my brand color. Maybe I want that color to be purple, or maybe your brand color is orange, so you can use an orange backdrop. So that's what I'm going to show you how to do today. I've just ended the Instagram Live and I have a choice now whether to post this to IGTV, to delete the video, or to download the video. I'm going to choose to download the video onto my camera roll and then I'm going to open the InShot app. I will create a new project, import that vertical video, that vertical Instagram Live IGTV video into the InShot app. I will choose canvas 16:9, which is the orientation we want for YouTube, which is horizontal or landscape. And at this point, like I showed you before, I'm able to change the backdrop to a color, a gradient, and really you can have fun with this. You can match this up to your brand colors however you see fit. There's lots you can do— patterns, What you're really looking to do is to choose a backdrop that is anything but black, and once you export this video to your phone and upload it to YouTube, you will have essentially gotten rid of those black bars. I'm going to speed ahead to the export process here, and I've sped this up by about 12 times in the interest of time. What we'll see now is that the video is Export it, and you should get a little check mark that says, yep, this is saved to my phone. Now I'm going to go back into my camera roll, retrieve the video in question, and open my YouTube app from my phone, upload the video into YouTube. And I'm doing all of this from my iPhone. So just like any video that you would upload to YouTube from the app, you will Choose a title and a description. You can set this to unlisted until such time you go back to your desktop and properly put in all the details, and then you would hit upload. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments below. I would love to know if you're using IGTV, if you have any questions about this. I actually did a live training today on this topic, but I thought I'd isolate this one particular tip
