In this solo coaching video, Dr. Shiny Unsal, creator of Neuroshine technology and certified ICF coach, explains why accountability is crucial—affecting up to 80% of actions and forming personal integrity. She presents three practical strategies to help viewers hold themselves accountable: (1) enlist an accountability partner, leveraging social pressure and a physics analogy of pressure converting to force; (2) mentally link commitments to self‑esteem, creating a strong internal association that fuels perseverance; and (3) schedule celebratory rewards, using the brain’s pleasure response to reinforce neural pathways and turn the behavior into a habit. Unsal emphasizes that these techniques can be self‑applied but may benefit from a coach’s guidance, and she invites viewers to explore coach certification through Neuroshine. The video ends with typical YouTube calls to like, share, and subscribe, framing accountability as a pathway to unlocking personal potential and a brighter, more loving world.

3 tips to hold yourself accountable. Combines the power of the mind with the wisdom of your heart, and it just helps you to unlock your potential. Hey everyone, welcome to my Shiny Minds Show. Hello everyone, my name is Shiny Unsal. I am the proud creator of Neuroshine technology, the Shiny Minds Show, and your Neuroshine coach. Today our topic is accountability. Which is one of the biggest reasons why a person wants to work with a coach. Did you know that accountability matters 80% of your actions and goal achievements? Did you know that accountability actually is a big part of your integrity? So as part of my coaching certification trainings, which is approved by International Coaching Federation, we talk a lot about accountability. We talk a lot about taking action and actually being accountable for it. And that accountability in the long run, it becomes your integrity, right? Are you doing what you are saying that you're going to do? Are you doing it at the time that you are saying you are going to do. That is a very, very critical point in your life to get things done. And hold yourself accountable does come with some challenges. So as a coach trainer, as somebody who has been doing this for more than 9 years now, I have some ideas to share with you. Ready? Let's go. Number 1, get an accountability partner. You'll be like, what do you mean, Shiny? I thought I was going to do it on my own. Well, here is the human psychology. We do much more for others than we do for ourselves. That's a fact. That is scientific because we are social beings. We are more accountable when it comes to, oh, I promised my friend or I promised my coach or I promised somebody that I am going to do something. So that kind of pressure makes you take action. And I'm going to explain it from physics. Think about it. Now there is a pressure and that pressure is making that mechanical energy move and turn that into kinetic energy. And now you are creating a force in the universe. Why? Because of the pressure. Like, even think about how we give birth as mothers. It's just pressure. It's a lot of pressure. And then boom, there is like force and there is something in return. So that pressure is the accountability effect. When you have somebody and that psychologically affects your thinking, that becomes a force in your universe and that pushes you to take action. And that's exactly why you need to get an accountability partner. Number 2, link it to your self-esteem. When you say that you are going to do something, link that promise to your self-esteem. I mean mentally link it. Literally see this action right over here and this result, which is boosting your self-esteem right over here, and link these two actions together. When you take this action, you are going to immediately boost your self-esteem. And that in time is going to be your mental association. And that's how you're going to create a deeper meaning, a deeper belief within yourself that you are absolutely not going to give up. And this is something that you can do on your own. You don't need a coach or you don't need an accountability partner. It needs to be strong strong enough. And until you build it strong enough, you are going to need to have an accountability partner, or better yet, you are going to need to work with a coach. Number 3: schedule your celebration. What do I mean by that? Listen, brain loves pleasure, okay? When you tell your brain, dear brain, I have something for you when you help me to take that action, I am going to give you some really tasty, juicy chemicals of pleasure. I am going to take you to a night out and we're going to celebrate over dinner. Yeah, you're saying that to your brain. That's exactly how you can reprogram your thinking. And that becomes an internal mechanism. And of course, what is the trick? The secret and the trick is you got to do it over and over again, because once you do it, it becomes a neural pathway. And as you start doing it over and over and over again, it becomes a mental muscle. And that muscle turns into your skill and your habits. It becomes automatic. So there you have it. Those are 3 tips for you to hold yourself accountable. And of course, it's always a great idea to go hire a coach, professional coach, and get some help and get some kick in your butt. You know what I mean? It's always a good idea to have somebody to push you to your limits and help you to maximize your potential.
