In this short, upbeat YouTube episode of the Shiny Minds Show, Dr. Shiny Unsal—creator of Neuroshine Technology, ICF‑certified coach, coach trainer, and licensed NLP trainer—introduces viewers to four key neurotransmitters that influence happiness and well‑being. She explains how dopamine drives reward, focus, and concentration; how endorphins act as feel‑good chemicals that are released through laughter and provide pain relief; how serotonin, often called the “happiness hormone,” regulates mood, memory, and is boosted by daylight; and how oxytocin, the “love hormone,” is released through physical touch, hugging, and deep relational empathy. Dr. Unsal highlights everyday activities that naturally increase each neurotransmitter and encourages viewers to explore foods, exercise, and habits that further support them. The video ends with a call to like, share, and subscribe to the Shiny Minds channel to spread happiness and maximize personal potential.

4 neurotransmitters to boost your happiness. Combines the power of the mind with the wisdom of your heart, and it just helps you to unlock your potential. Hey everyone, welcome to my Shiny Minds Show. Hello everyone, my name is Shiny Unsal. I am the proud creator of Neuroshine Technology, an ICF certified coach, an ICF certified coach trainer, and a licensed NLP trainer. Today's topic is neuroscience, specifically 4 neurotransmitters that are all about your happiness and well-being, so that whenever you have more of them in your life, they're going to boost your happiness and well-being even more. They're also known as hormones, but the exact wording is neurotransmitter. The reason is because, you know, you have nerve cells in your brain, so you have about like 100 billion neurons, nerve cells. These nerve cells, they fire nerve impulses, and these neurotransmitters, almost like messengers, carrying that information, carrying that impulse from one nerve to the other, creating those synapses. So when you think about these neurotransmitters, think of them as your chemical messengers inside your brain. And if you're ready, Let's begin. First one is dopamine. Dopamine is all about your pleasure. It's all about your reward mechanism and how you actually concentrate and pay attention, because your brain is going to reward you after you achieve something, and that achievement is requiring your attention. And dopamine is a neurotransmitter who's responsible for your focus, concentration, and full attention so that you can achieve that. Put a check mark right next to it. And when you're like done, done, done, and done, how do you feel? Amazing, rewarded, and a lot of pleasure. Second neurotransmitter is called endorphin. So endorphins are all about feel-good chemicals. In order to have more endorphin in your system, You want to have more laughs. Laughter triggers endorphins, so the more you laugh, the happier you're going to feel, and that feel-good neurotransmitter is going to be triggered over all your brain. And next thing you know, it is also going to have you relieve a lot of stress because it's also considered as your main pain reliever in your body. If you have a tension, if you have any kind of pain, when you laugh, when you just let go of the tension, what happens? You release. So that is pain relief. And that's why this specific neurotransmitter is also found in a lot of chemicals that gives you relief. Number 3 is serotonin. This is literally your happiness hormone, and this one is about your mood. You know, when you want to change your mood and when you have more happiness and more positivity, you want to have more serotonin. Higher levels of serotonin is linked directly with higher levels of positive emotions. So when you are learning and when you are requiring more memory in your brain, like memory functions, you also need to increase the levels of your serotonin. And that serotonin is linked to daylight because the minute your brain is exposed to daylight, guess what? Serotonin levels increase and that wakes you up. And that's why it's also a mood changer. And that's why it's also called the happiness hormone. And last but not least, my favorite one, oxytocin. This is considered as the love hormone. When you hug people, when you get into some physical touch and a little bit like deeper levels of relationship emotions like empathy, sympathy, compassion, and kindness. This is such a cute and beautiful neurotransmitter. I love oxytocin. We all want and need more oxytocin so that we can all feel loved. So there you have it, 4 neurotransmitters that are going to boost your happiness. Make sure you have a lot of those. And of course, you can dig a little bit more in these 4 transmitters and see what kind of food, exercise, and activities also boost them so that you can feel happier, right? That's the end result.
