4 Signs You Are Not Self Actualized

Self-actualization means aligning your talents and skills to live purposefully. Four signs you're not there: reactivity, denial that blocks feedback, persistent unhappiness despite activity, and victim mentality. Ask yourself how you can feel fulfilled to break the pattern.

My name is Shiny Unsal AI. I am the proud creator of Neuroshine technology and your Neuroshine coach. Are you ready to shine?
Come on, it's the shiny one.
You got this.
If you wanna go, go, let's see.
Today I would love to talk about self-actualization. Self-actualization is your top need. Remember Abraham Maslow? He had this hierarchy of needs. It was in 1943 he came up with that study, and we have all these needs to be a good, happy human being, like food and shelter and sleep and relationships and self-esteem. And at the very top of that hierarchy, that pyramid, is the need to be self-actualized. What does it mean to be self-actualized? It means that you live on purpose. It means that you have a calling and you have your talents and your skills, and then you were able to put them all together to maximize your potential. That is self-actualization. And if you are not self-actualized, there are also some signs, and I would love to talk to you about them. Here are 4 4 signs you are not self-actualized. Number 1: You are reactive. That's what I call attack and defense mechanism. When you are in conversations, do you find yourself attacking someone? Maybe you do not consciously do it, but you certainly cause someone to go into defense. Or somebody tells you something and even though it's just like a normal friendly question, do you find yourself defending yourself or trying to defend your point? Well, that might be because you're reactive and you have this sort of unfinished business with life, as if life owes you something and you're angry at life. You have a problem with life because life owes you and you have this entitlement. Do you get where I'm coming from? So that's a sign that you are not self-actualized. And when you know that you're not self-actualized and you, when you know that you are being reactive, you just become aware and ask yourself, how do I have myself fulfilled? Okay, I'm going to come back to this. Number 2, you are in denial. What do I mean by denial? You know, some of us, we don't even realize, but there is this world around us loudly telling us to change our behaviors, to do something different so that we can really tap into our potential. But yet, if you are in denial, you're not going to hear them. You're going to like literally picture this with me in your mind. You're just going to create this type of a space around you, and in this space you're not allowing any information, anybody to tell you something because you're just like so reactive and you are just so defensive. You don't want to hear anything because it hurts. You know, when you have a wound, you just cut your skin and that wound, it just hurts every time you touch it. It's exactly something like that. When somebody tells you something, because it hurts so much, you don't want to go there. You just block yourself and instead you want to stay in your little bubble of denial. And that denial looks like, no, no, that's not like that. No, no, no, I'm fine. I'm totally fine. You're either not opening up, or you don't even realize that you have something, or you're not maximizing your potential. That's how it looks like. Number 3, well, this is an easy one. You're unfulfilled and you're unhappy. If you catch yourself doing activities, going to work, creating relationships, they are supposed to make you feel joyful and fulfilled and happy, and still yet there is something missing. There there's always this empty hole inside of you and that always makes you feel unfulfilled and there is no way for you to feel happy. Do you know why? Because it's a sign that you are not self-actualized and it's a sign that there is more for you. It's a beautiful sign actually because you have more capacity to grow. And number 4, Or you are a victim. Life happens to you and you have no power over whatever happens to you, right? It's not like you make it happen. It's not like it happens for you or it happens through you, but instead it happens to you because you have no power, no control, no effect and you are a victim. You are the victim of your circumstances. You are hopeless, helpless. So now, remember what I said in number 1? Try to ask yourself this question: how do I feel fulfilled? So when you feel like a victim, it might sound or feel like, no, I will never be fulfilled. I will I will never be in charge of my own life because I can't. I am stuck. Guess what? Because you have this victim mentality. So in order for you to get out of this type of mentality, you need to keep asking yourself, how? There must be a way. How, how do I get fulfilled? How do I feel happy? How do I feel this empty hole inside of me? Keep asking this question again and again and again to bust all of these 4 signs. And in the end, you're going to realize that self-actualization is not a destination, it's a journey within. And that journey is going to be possible with those nourishing moments that I call, because every question you ask yourself, you're going to bust an assumption. Every question you ask yourself, you're going to realize something more about you, and that is going to help you to maximize your potential and to become self-actualized. So I hope this video helps you. If it did, please like it and share it with your friends so all of us become self-actualized, become fulfilled and happy.
