Hello everyone, this is Burcu İmsal, also known as Dr. Shiny Unsal. I am a licensed NLP trainer and ICF accredited life coach trainer, also a lead instructor of leadership communication strategies and emotional intelligence at UCLA Extension, which is right behind me here in Westwood. So here I am today because I would like to talk to you about how the NLP changed my my life. There is a reason why I became an NLP trainer, right? I mean, I wasn't born like that. My background is marketing, advertising, and communications. But today I share this information. I just, I feel like I have a megaphone, like this video is a megaphone for me and I am just screaming out loud about neuro-linguistic programming because it touched my heart. It changed my life from, you know, from the scratch. I created everything from scratch. Not because, you know, I didn't have a life. I had a decent life. I had a comfortable life. But right now I have a shiny, happy, delicious, glamorous, and you know, just so wonderful, such a fantastic life. So I would like to talk about how it all happened, starting from what is NLP. So neurolinguistic programming is today the world's number one technology for communication and for human behaviors. It studies Why you do what you do? What makes you receive all the results you're receiving today? And how can you get better results? Good or good? I mean, if you are somebody who is actually out there as a stardust to shine, how are you not to just search for more to make it all shine out? Because that stardust being is inside of you and you just need to have a little more tools and strategies and technologies so that you can put all things together. And together, you and I, with NLP, we can create magic together. So NLP created that magic for me, and NLP is going to create— if it hasn't already done so, it is going to create magic for you too. NLP is known for the number one strategy for success. If you're receiving success, if you're receiving great results in one area of your life, NLP is going to study why and how and where and with whom and when. All these, you know, 6 W1H questions that we can ask and learn from your own behaviors, from your own results, and then we can apply it into other areas of your life and so that you can get also awesome results in other areas of your life too. So it is actually the study of subjectivity. NLP studies what works for you. I'm talking about you, that individual person who is watching this video. It's not about like a common sense technology that you go and study and learn from anywhere. You study yourself. With NLP. You study what works for you. You study your own language structure. You study your own behaviors. You study your own human needs. You study your own psychology. The very you. That's what I did. And that's what I found out what kind of a stardust I was. Oh, oh, ta-da! So that's what NLP is. So let me actually give you an analogy. Imagine that there are 3 oranges in front of you. I always use that. So this first orange is about psychology, and the second orange is about human behaviors, and the third orange is about strategies, tools, and techniques that are used for programming, as if you are just writing some, some codes for a software program. Okay, so what NLP does, it actually combines psychology, human behaviors, and programming all together. And all these 3 oranges, when you squeeze them all, you get NLP. Good or good? So you learn what a behavior is, you learn how the communication is formed, you learn how can you get better results in everything that you do, how can you be even more healthier, how can you become even more happier and shinier and, you know, look better, feel better, enjoy your life better. Everything that you do, you can take your life to the next level, to the next level, and to the top, to your top performance with NLP. That's why Tony Robbins is known as the number one top performance strategist. So the strategy is coming from the tools of NLP. So he's using all the tools and technologies that is out there for us with NLP, and then he's using them on people, on individual people, so that they can actually create their peak performances. Okay, so that's what you can learn from NLP. You can learn how to generate energy when you first, when you most need it. You can learn how to generate love when you really don't have it enough in your life. You can learn how to program your, your mind to feel self-confident, to feel that you're good enough, to feel that you can do it anytime, to feel that, you know, you are strong and you are that type of a person who does whatever it takes to get whatever you want to get. That's what you can learn with NLP, and you're going to increase the level and the quality of your relationships with others, including with the one with yourself. I mean, I can count day and night about what you can learn with NLP because I have learned so many countless things that I'm grateful for, but it is just a small list of what you can learn. And here are some benefits that I received from applying NLP tools and techniques into my life. I lost about 25 pounds. I stopped smoking. I stopped drinking Diet Coke, which I really loved and consumed almost every day. And not only Diet Coke, today I do not consume any acidic drinks at all. Actually, not even like juices. I only drink fresh orange juice, or if it is anything fresh-squeezed, I consume. Other than that, I don't. I eat really healthy. I am very fit. I used to have like back pain and all that. I don't have it anymore. I flow with the cosmic energy inside of me. And I seriously, I stopped watching TV. I stopped talking about minor things and I started paying attention to what's important for me. I started getting better results in everything that I do. I became more influential. I became a leader of my life. I am leading a shinier and a happier life, and I'm also showing others how to do it. Before NLP, I didn't know what to do. Today, I show others how to do it. Isn't that awesome? That's a serious— it's what a shift. It's It's just mind-blowing. So what else I did? Well, before NLP, I was this person who was actually all about talking, talking, talking, and being right, and focusing on all these, you know, egoistic and very, very like selfish driven and not really result-oriented person. And today, I am a person who is into integrity, honesty, and inviting others to listen to each other. I am this person who is all about, okay, let's become more humanistic again. Let's understand each other. Let's pause before we judge so that we can ask better questions, better understand each other, and better connect and get deeper and get juicier in life. So definitely my values shifted. My look at life Shifted, like everything that I do today shifted. I'm faster, I'm quicker, I'm more effective, I'm more persuasive. I was a teacher, right? You know, at UCLA Extension. Today, I'm a lead instructor. I design my own courses. I just designed an online course for leadership communication strategies. You know, I designed the emotional intelligence course. Course over there. You know, I became approved by International Coach Federation, right? And then I wrote my first book. It's out there. It's, you know, published by the biggest, biggest publishing company in Turkey. I speak on the stages with, you know, very important people. You know, I get my message across all over the world. I reach out to thousands of people. And, you know, I mean, I can, I can count, but the most important thing that I feel alive again. I feel alive and I feel like I'm on a mission. I am just not living for myself. I am living for you too. I am living for a vision because I know that what I do today is going to help create a better world for tomorrow. I know that what I believe in, what I share today is going to influence millions of other people, and it's going to be a shinier and a happier place tomorrow. So those are deeper levels. Oh, I can also add, I became more spiritual. Definitely, yes, it actually happened with NLP, with the help of NLP, and I'm really grateful. I love my life every day. I'm grateful, you know, I feel free. I don't have to work from 9 to 5. I don't feel like working at all because it's just, you know, I'm just doing something I love, it just is meaningful for me, and you know, it's deep. And I feel like we really are born to shine. Okay, so this is what I got out of NLP. This is just a little bit of what you can do with NLP. And who am I? Let— may I, if you allow me, let me just talk about a little bit about me so that you have an understanding of What I can do for you. Okay, so I'm from Turkey. I was born and raised in a very small town in Turkey, and I used to watch this 90210. Remember that? You know, Beverly Hills? Oh my gosh, that was my dream show. And when I used to watch that, I would dream about a life here, right here, because that was such a small place back in, you know, Turkey. There was nothing really going on. Small people, it's small-minded people in small town and small things and small places. Everything was so small that I wanted to go and belong to a big situation. So here I am, I ended up here, like I guess about like 20 years, 20 years later. So on my way through LA, I stopped at Ankara. Actually, it is the capital city of Turkey and I I got my first bachelor's degree in international relations and I went into marketing and advertising world in Istanbul. I worked for the world's biggest, largest multinational advertising agencies such as Saatchi Saatchi, McCann Erickson, and Ogilvy. And I was able to manage Fortune 500 brands and their multimillion branding campaigns. For example, Coca-Cola, for example, Audi, for example, BP and Gillette and Avon, you know, all these, Kotex, all these beautiful brands. They actually taught me that branding is everywhere, not only in the corporate world, but here with us too, with our personal brands. We have these images. You are a brand. I'm a brand. You know, everything is a brand. A brand is a mental space that you own in an individual's mind. And you know, that's what I talk about in my NLP trainings as well. And let me continue. After my advertising journey, I actually ended up, you know, becoming the head of marketing for an international company in Turkey, just overseeing European operations and marketing operations. I was able to manage like over 100 people And I just realized what I really made me happy was touching people's lives when I was managing those people. They would call me when they had problems. They would just call me when they wanted to feel better about themselves. They would call me when they needed to get some support. So I was kind of like coaching them. When I realized that that was what I was doing, I decided to do something about it. And I decided to, you know, use that gift that I have to actually share with the world. And I also decided that this energy was given to me for a purpose, for a mission, and I would do something about it. And that is the time when I decided to go take an NLP training in class. And with that NLP training, I got so empowered. Nothing was stopping me. I was literally unstoppable. I was married, I was the head of marketing. I had a great life. I was making great money, traveling the world. I said no to all of that because I knew that there was a bigger potential inside of me. God has given me a gift, a purpose, and I listened to it and I said, you know what, I'm going to pursue that goal. I don't care what I have built so far because I know that I have done it and I can do it better. Why? Because NLP made me look at life that way. NLP empowered me. NLP showed me who I really was inside. So I came here to LA, and in my second time to LA, I was able to work with the best gurus in the world, like Dr. Richard Bandler, the co-creator of NLP, Tony Robbins, the number one name in personal development field. Les Brown, you know, you know how he goes, you gotta be hungry. So Les Brown, also Brandon Burchard, he's just the new thing. It's just, he's just so awesome. And you know, I studied metaphysics, I studied Landmark Education, I studied spiritual studies, I studied You know, these gurus that I met here and there, like, you know, Jack Canfield from The Secret and Robert Kiyosaki, the writer of Rich Dad Poor Dad, Michael Bernard Beckwith, again, one of the gurus in the movie Secret. And I was able to gather all these things together, and also I blend everything that I learned with Peak Potentials teachings. They are now called New Peaks. They are the biggest personal development company in the whole world. And you know, I love that company. So I learned so much from them. And now, you know, I'm actually working on, you know, expanding that vision with them, I really believe. So what I have learned, what I have gathered, and what, who I have become is all With NLP, because all these people that I just told you and all these things that I just named you, they are using NLP. Peak Potentials, that company is using the power of NLP to actually design their own personal development courses. Les Brown, Jack Canfield, Robert Kiyosaki, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Tony Robbins himself. Hello, Richard Bandler is the guy who created NLP. So I had the privilege of working with these guys. I mean, on top of my education at Harvard Business School, I'm so grateful that I got to study leadership and, you know, management at Harvard Business School. But hey, what I was able to learn from my own personal growth studies just took me to the next level. It's like out of this roof right here. So here I am as a lead instructor of leadership communication strategies right there at UCLA Extension, a lead instructor, actually a designing instructor of emotional intelligence who is also teaching these things at big companies like Walt Disney here, IBM, or Ernst Young, or Time Warner Cable. And Verizon, you know, American Express. These companies are learning these tools because they know how powerful they are. They, they know, you know, what they want. So I want you to get curious. Please get curious. What is this that everybody is all hungry about, right? What is that NLP? What is that Neuro Linguistic Programming? And get curious how you can benefit you can learn from it, how you can change your life. Do you have any idea? Anytime you need it. You know where? Wherever you need it. You know how? Just a click away. Because now it is the time of technology. We are living in the world of social media.
