Hello everyone, my name is Shiny Unsal. I am the proud creator of Neuroshine Technology, ICF Master Certified Coach, ICF Accredited Coach Trainer, and a Licensed Trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming. Are you ready to shine?
Come on, it's the shiny one.
You got this.
If you wanna go, go.
As an ICF Accredited Coaching Education Provider, I have been teaching NLP skills and coaching skills and certifying coaches, NLP practitioners, master practitioners, professional coaches since 2011. And of course, it's been more than a decade by now, and I can tell you there are some patterns and there are some action steps that you can take if you want to really truly create a coaching business. If you're watching this video because you are curious, hey, you know, how does it look like or feel like to have a coaching business? Or how does it look like to have a life as a coach? Well, I have answers, okay? So I can tell you a lot about being a coach, having coaching skills, and creating a coaching business. I can also tell you what to do, what not to do. And I can give you some examples of best practices from my students from more than 25 countries in the world. And I can also talk about myself and my coaching business, my training business. You got the point. I have a lot to share with you, but today I'm gonna share only 4 of those ideas. And if you're ready, let's go. Number 1, invest in your coaching skills. No-brainer, right? So if you want to create a coaching business, you gotta start by having coaching skills. What does it mean to have coaching skills? Well, of course I am going to talk about ICF core competencies. You know, International Coaching Federation has all these regulations and standards for every professional coach out there in the world. And if you want to create a solid, a very exciting and meaningful coaching business, you gotta start by improving those coaching skills, communication skills, and mindset principles, and build yourself up as a coach. But not only as a coach who does coaching professionally, you wanna invest in coaching skills, communication skills, leadership skills and you want to create this identity as a coach, but not only as a coach who does coaching professionally, you need to shape this identity, this coaching identity so well that you're not actually doing coaching. You are being. A coach and being coaching. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, you shouldn't be forcing yourself to do something, but you should allow yourself to have these coaching skills, those coaching principles, those programmings to just flow through you. And of course, it's going to take time. All right. I became a certified coach back in November 2010. So you can take it from me, it's gonna take a while. But of course, where you're in life, your maturity level, your understanding about human behaviors, your understanding about psychology, your experience in life, your emotional intelligence, everything matters, right? So that is the context you need to always remember when you are calculating your own timeframe and your path in building yourself as a coach when you're investing in your coaching skills. Number 2, invest in your business skills, right? So let's say that you have invested in your coaching skills and you understand communication at a higher level, you understand human behaviors at a deeper level, and you are able to cultivate those relationships with trust and and groundedness and wisdom and empathy, right? You have all those skills. Guess what? These are necessary prerequisites, but these are not enough because we're talking about creating a business, right? You also need to invest in your business skills. Creating a business is so different than creating yourself as a coach, because creating yourself as a coach is about identity and your belief systems and your personal expectations and goals. This one, business skills, are mostly related with strategic thinking, critical thinking, money mindset, and having a little bit of masculine energy when you need to. You need to step into power. You need to step into your strong version and make decisions and move forward. And you need to do it as a business, right? Especially if you're going to do this as a business with profit, not a nonprofit. Profit is about you creating a machine that generates money, income, profit, so that you can keep it going. And that requires You being able to be comfortable selling, you being able to be okay with talking to people about what you have to offer. And those type of skills are different than coaching skills. That's why as you invest in coaching skills, you also need to invest in business skills. What it means, maybe you need to study different types of businesses. If you want an LLC or a corporation or a partnership, or if you just want to go solo, you need to understand how they differ when it comes to paying tax. You know, how do they get back to you, uh, into your life, into the quality of your life? And you need to look at it from legal perspective. What does it mean to have a business and how do you own it? And you know what I mean, there are so many moving pieces, and that's why you you also need to study business and you need to invest in those skills. Number 3: Create an online course or a program. Well, because of the world that we live in today, it is so socially impactful and so personally meaningful to create your own course, your own program, and to share it with others, right? And that is the third step. So I want you to look at creating a coaching business as a step-by-step approach in this video. First step was investing in your coaching skills.
Done.
You know that you have that. You're good at that. Two, business skills. You've studied it, you understand what you want and where you are and how you want to move forward. Done. Number 3, now we're talking about creating something with your skills that becomes your product, right? Because when you create a coaching business and if you're only relying on having one-on-one clients, that may not be as scalable as you wish it to be. That's why I recommend you to create your online course or a program and package it, make it valuable, make it very transformational so that people want to learn from you and they want to become a part of your mission. And you also have something to sell. And step number 4, of course, is going to B, promoting it, right? So promoting what you created is going to require a ton of marketing knowledge, and you might need a team for that, or you might automate everything. Basically, it all comes down to your marketing skills. So promotion does not have to be at a large scale, like you don't need to get scared and you don't need to get overwhelmed because it's too much. Oh, am I going to do it like socially and social media or email marketing or Google? You can just choose one of them and start with just one approach. Just laser focus, create a product and create a media to share it and go from that. Path. Okay, when I started my own coaching business, my strategy was word-of-mouth marketing. I decided that I was going to be a great coach with a great impact, and I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. And I made sure I delivered value so that people could talk to each other, and that way, that's how I created my my own business like that. So you might start like this, or you might start with an online course or an, you know, an offer that you give away. It really depends on who you are and how you want to design this coaching business. So there you have it, 4 steps, 4 ideas for you to start your coaching business. I hope you liked it. If you liked it, please put a like on it and share it with others.
