Hey everybody. Siobhan Wilcox here and this is day 17 of Parenting Autism Written raw. Trying something completely different. I'm in my kitchen. I'm using my iPad as a camera. I hope the quality is good. I have never tried it before. So I wanted you to show you what I use for my power breakfast blender. Love it. I use some organic almond milk. This is how I start my day. Every day is with one of these smoothies. What I found since I started to do this is that I really get a lot more energy throughout my day. I've even got my husband taking it and believe me, he's not a smoothie kind of guy, but he seems to really like it too. And he says he's even noticed increase in his energy levels. I use then a protein smoothie. You can use any kind of smoothie you want. I like one that's high in protein. It's got spirnolini in it. It's a spurnatine mix. It's chocolate flavor, it's gotta be good and it's gluten free. It's also sweetened with fructose, which is fruit sugars and easier to digest by the body. So I put a scoop of that in. Yummy, yummy in my tummy. I make one for my kids as well because Spurnotine do a kids junior version. So I use this for them as well. And then I have this green drink superfood that I put in and I have a kids version as well of that that I use. And I put a big scoop of this in and this just has organic green foods in it. So in case you don't get to get all your green foods in a day, this is what I use to replace that. You can take it throughout the day. You can put it into a shaker, just shake it with some water, some almond milk. I was traveling and I decided I'd buy it in packets. So I bought packets of it and then I just, you know, got a soy milk or a regular milk when I was away and I just shook it up and I had it for my breakfast. This is the bit my husband kind of balks at. It's the green spinach. It's my favorite bit, but I put a handful of green spinach in. And then to make it taste a little yummier, I put some fruit in. This is frozen organic raspberries and blueberries. You can buy fresh, you can get frozen. Whatever works for you. It's not always easy to get the fresh, so I just use the frozen I just put a little bit of that in. Then I put some omegas in. You can get any version that you want that works for you. Make sure that they have the Omega 3s in there. Try and get some DHA's in there. Really good for your brain, for your eyesight. And then I love to add in some bee pollen. Yummy, yummy. Really good for energy. And you're saying to yourself, my God, this takes so long. It takes almost the same time as it does to cook bacon. So this is my option that I do. I still do cook bacon for my kids occasionally. And I give them an egg every morning in some form if I haven't cooked them, like turkey bacon or something like that. But I also give them one of these smoothies. They don't like it with the fruit. My son has some sensory stuff and he doesn't like the berry feeling in his mouth. But they will take it with the green drink in there. I put in extra fatty acids for them and I use coconut milk. You can also use that instead of the almond milk or rice milk or whatever works for you. This is GABA that I'm putting in. I use a GABA plus. But you can get any Gaba and if you wish. It's just extra brain food. We like the brain food. Keeps our memory going, keeps our energy up, helps us focus, make connections. And then blend it. And I put some water in there as well. Get out of the glass. I forgot the water piece. I'm gonna go over to my fridge, get some water. And you can use bottled water for this. You can use coconut water, which is what I use for my kids. I put some coconut water in for them. But somehow I seem to have an allergy to coconut and it breaks me out in a rash. So I just add some water. This is the noisy bit. We blend and then I drink. Sometimes I make extra and I'll have it a couple of times in the day. Just store it in the fridge. Can get separated. Just put it back on the blender. If you put avocados or anything like that in that doesn't store so well. And let's put some lemon juice in there to kind of freshen that up. So there you go, breakfast. Really good, nutritious, power filled, Omegas, fatty acids, antioxidants, your greens alkalizes your body, gives you your protein. It's just a huge energy rush in your day. It helps maintain your energy because you don't want these huge and then which is what regular sugary cereals can give us. This maintains energy for your day. Hope you enjoy.
