Andy Walsh warns that letting ChatGPT write your voice tanks your authenticity and gets flagged by LinkedIn's algorithm. AI-generated tone gets lower ranking and reduced engagement. Your actual voice is worth more than the convenience.

The worst mistake, although I see a lot of people do, is then use ChatGPT, and that is just number one mistake. I have nothing against using AI to help you come up with some ideas or reframe things, but sadly a lot of people use it to just outsource, and we can all smell it from a mile away. So that's the opposite of authenticity.
And I see it myself, and I iterate on ChatGPT, and sometimes I probably don't craft it with my own personal tone as enough as I should, and I see the drop, and, and the, the chat on LinkedIn right now is the fact that LinkedIn are very hyper-focused on identifying people that are using agents of any kind to do writing, comments, etc. And you can pick the tone of voice that's in there and it's actually deprioritizing you in the, in the ranking. So people are seeing their engagement drop significantly if they are taking shortcuts.
