The other side to that coin though too is, which I'm glad you talked to, is that being comfortable with people not liking you, like being a people pleaser dilutes your own personal value 100%. Because as soon as you start to adapt and compromise around other people because there's conflict or tension between the two of you and what you believe, you start to lose sense of who you are. And a diluted sense of yourself is not good for anyone else in your life, particularly yourself. So being able to have conviction on who you are and stand tall and be proud and be comfortable if someone doesn't like you, that's okay. If someone doesn't resonate with that, then just accept it and sleep well at night is the advice I would give.
It is so hard to not give the answer that you know would be the satisfying answer and to stand by what you truly believe, even if it pisses some people off. And that is, that is fine. And you live a much better life if you don't try to.
