Jordan DiPietro on what he learned at Motley Fool: real culture means leaders care for employees before the business. Fake it and you lose talent. Authenticity is the differentiator.
I was really lucky working at The Motley Fool. We were an incredibly people-first company, and that's always been really integral to me at every company I've worked for. Like, I take care of my people and they know that I care about them before the company. And I think that's a huge differentiator. If that's core to who you are, then I'd say lean into it. If it's not and that's not who you are, then don't fake it. But I do think if that feels like organic to you, at least for me, that's been a huge competitive advantage, especially when it comes to hiring.
