Andy Walsh argues your network matters more than your pitch deck. Connections help you navigate building a company without losing your mind, and they're what actually gets you capital, exits, and growth. People want to help people they know.
I know it's something that you're passionate about, and if I was to put everything that you've just talked about with your own life story and the businesses that you've created, it felt like the connections to the right people have been a catalyst for you to be able to navigate all of these things with some form of grace and sanity in what is a chaotic world.
So, I do think your network is invaluable when it comes to capital raising, exiting, and just scaling a business in general.
I would 100% agree. And the people that have popped up in my life that have needed help or I've needed help, and it's been through old connections, like friends of friends, you're in the same room and there's this beautiful thing that happens. I think collectively most people want to see other people succeed.
