I don't like this arena, man. I need some basketball in this arena. It's day 1 of All-Star Weekend in the Bay. What did we do today? Day 1, All-Star Weekend in the Bay. Very exciting day. Doing the Eat, Learn, Play activation at East Oakland Pride School where we're refurbishing a beautiful play space. Thank you so much for allowing us to come into your home. Your school and create an environment that is for you, right? This is all for you to be able to experience education, fun, activity at the highest level with the best of the facilities.
Spread the word! Spread the word!
Everywhere! Everywhere!
All across the nation! All across the nation!
We! We!
Are going to be! Are going to be! A great generation! A great generation! All right, give yourselves a hand if you made it.
We've all seen all the 3-point shots, all the amazing things on the court, but that same effort, that same energy, that same intensity, the details are definitely put into Eat, Learn, and Play, and everyone that's been involved with Eat, Learn, and Play and how it's been built up and the commitment to our community has just been a beautiful thing. So once again, a round of applause for Steph and Ayesha, Eat, Learn, and Play. This is special for a lot of reasons. Obviously, we are here I know we're all like-minded in giving our time, our money, our resources to support the next generation of super talented kids like you saw dancing out here on the—
Thank you.
Very brave performance, amazing performance. The remix was beautiful. Brought the energy. It does take a village to raise a child, and where kids go to eat, learn, and play every single day here in the Oakland Unified School District, that is where we want to activate Eat, Learn, Play the most. Through each of our pillars where we support our kids. And like Ayesha said, none of this is possible without our volunteers who come and spend hours and hours and hours putting together this beautiful space. 17 times over, like she said, with all the different play spaces that we've done across the Oakland Unified School District. And we want to continue to do more. So this is a great opportunity to reflect on where we've been, to appreciate where we are, and look forward to where we're going. Again, supporting these kids. So thank everybody for showing up to my NBA family, like, this means the world to me to see the legends who I looked up to, you know, before I even stepped foot in Oakland back in 2009, to see you guys come out here and support me and Ayesha and our foundation. It means the world. Super excited. All-Star Weekend is here. We're gonna put the Bay on full display for the world to see.
Yeah!
And today is a great, great start to the entire weekend. So thank everybody for coming out, the East Oakland pride. Keep doing all the great work. All right? Thank y'all so much.
Thank you, Steph. Thank you, Ayesha.
Headed over to McClymonds High School where we renovated the basketball court in honor of the legendary Bill Russell. On behalf of Curry Brand, on behalf of 17,000 UA teammates, on behalf of this partnership we have, Eat, Learn, Play, with the Unified School District here in Oakland as well, we couldn't be more thrilled to be able to officially open this new house. So on behalf of Under Armour Curry Brand, may I introduce a legend 7-time All-Star, 4-time NBA Champion, 2-time MVP, your own Mr. Stephen Curry! It is a true honor to be here with y'all today celebrating All-Star Weekend here in the Bay Area. First time since 2000 that we've had the honor to bring the entire basketball world to our city, our town, and celebrate The hand of basketball at the highest of levels. There's a beautiful family, a beautiful name, Bill Russell, we all know, who came from this gym. Unbelievable opportunity and honor to represent the entire Russell family. So thank y'all for letting me be a part of this. Going over to Shoe Palace, just kind of have a walk through memory lane a little bit and kind of officially launch the What the Bay Curry 12s in honor of All-Star Weekend.
Keep working hard, alright?
Mom, bring your shoes over here. [FOREIGN LANGUAGE] It's actually the game Jordan one, signed as well. Then you just come over here and you scan. Oh, that's cool. And that'll take you to eBay. And then it'll walk through and just, you get a bid on the product there as well. So it's live. So how many shoes you guys selling? There's 30. So all proceeds will go back to the foundation. We try to get like Finals 2017, 2018, '18, original. That's so fire.
Then they got other stuff.
You got a favorite one?
Stephen Curry.
Right there, for good reason.
Yeah.
This is right before COVID Literally 2 days before they shut the league down right here. Played one hot game against the Raptors and then that was it.
Those are the '62s.
That was this, right? The bubble?
This?
Yeah. That was the All-Star Game. In Cleveland, the year after.
Yeah.
I was 21. Those right there. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. We won it, we won it, that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right here, kids, right here.
Right here, right here, right here. You good?
Yes, sir. Yes, sir. How y'all doing, everybody?
I'm right back, okay? Ready? All right, ladies and gentlemen, back to the stage. You heard him all day. I want you to make some noise for my guy Speedy!
Thank you, brother. Well, listen, without further ado, the man, the myth, I love you too. Listen, without further ado, the man, the myth, the legend, Stephen Curry. First time since 2000 we've hosted it in the Bay Area, so Super excited to put the Bay on full display all weekend.
[FOREIGN LANGUAGE] That's right.
Celebrate basketball, all that we've accomplished here with the Warriors, but also a special shout out to Chase Freedom for putting on this amazing venue, all the activities that we got going on today, tomorrow. So make sure y'all keep coming through, taking part in all the activities, all the activations, all the experiences that are going on here. But I just want to say, appreciate y'all bringing the energy to the Bay, right?
Thank you!
We tell everybody we got the best fans in the world, and they all are going to feel it this weekend. Being out here for the last 16 years has been a very, very privilege and honor to— I see my people outside. Honor to celebrate championships on both sides of the bridge. Appreciate y'all coming out. I got a little—
How much? How much do you appreciate it, son?
This much, this much. This is how much I appreciate it.
All right?
It's a little trivia question. If you answer it right, you'll get the jersey, all right? I broke the record for the most 3-pointers 2 years ago. How many 3s was the actual record? Does anybody know? All right, don't yell it out.
Raise your hand. You.
My man!
Boom. 2974.
2974. All right, I just run a little trivia. Now listen up, this is a very special night. I'm gonna get off the stage and enjoy the show like the rest of y'all, but we got the Bay Area's own. I wanna make sure y'all give it up. A special, special performance right here. He about to turn up for everybody and give y'all a show, give y'all crazy energy. Y'all give it up for the one and only Lil Russell.
Oui! Come on, come on!
Then we gonna finish it up with the Curry Brand party. Excited about, you know, really celebrating all that we've done in the last 5 years of Curry Brand and what's in the future. And just have a good time.
Thank you guys.
You got it, Tony?
Yeah. Got it?
Nice. That made you want to find a track immediately.
The greatest shooter of all time has walked in this building right now. Steph, how we feeling, brother? Yes, sir. Make some noise. Stephen Curry in the building.
And the fans up on the hill. Pulling in the F lot, you feel the energy as soon as you leave it. As soon as you get out the car, it's a very, very special game day experience. That joint is crazy. You ever been there? Tony? No. It's like you pull in right here, they call it F lot. It's where all the player parking is and it's just this little hub of energy. I did watch your first vlog you ever made.
That's right.
That is correct. Game, this is exactly the parking lot right up here on the left with my Peaky Blinders outfit. Oracle Arena. Let's get it. We back at Oracle. All-Star practice. Let's go, my man.
I know this place.
I've been in this parking spot one time. You did?
How you doing? Great.
What's up, nephew? Always good to see you, man.
What's up? Hi, Steph. What's it like being back at Oracle?
Nothing like getting out in front of Oracle and feeling the energy out here. This brings back a lot of good memories, to say the least. So, always remember. What's up? Like that right there.
All right.
We'll have you going down this way, Stephen. I believe they are.
Good morning, how are you?
Good.
Sign please. Good, thank you.
Very good, that's the route.
Yes, sir.
How you doing, guys?
Brother. What are you doing?
I appreciate you saying yes. I'm glad you don't miss me. Back at the crib. You didn't have to go too far. That's what I want to say, over the bridge. You sitting in my locker? Get out of my locker.
Yeah, yes sir. Wow.
What Bhutan?
I think it was that one.
I think it was that one. Right down there. You're right, Raymond, it was that one. I don't like this arena, man. I did some bad to me in this arena. [FOREIGN LANGUAGE] Obviously a lot of good memories. Haven't been back very long. Long time, so kind of reminiscing on 10 great years here. So try to take it all in and celebrate all the good times we had in here. Not just me, all my teammates that got to experience with me. I'm sure they're gonna love seeing the Oracle. I don't even know what we call this arena now. They're gonna enjoy the Oakland Arena. That don't even sound right. Uh, seen it on full display, so I'm excited to be here for sure. Last time you went here, you had this guy right here.
That's true.
I think I met my locker too. He was on this side. Draymond, me and Klay, we held it down on the other side. It's crazy. And nothing has changed. It's the Oakland Arena there? Oakland, Oakland Arena?
Oakland Arena.
Was that 6, 8 years? Is that 8 years? 6 years. Since we left?
'99, right? 2019. 2019, yeah.
Damn, how old are we? They taking this OG thing serious.
You OG.
Every day at 5 AM. Everyone else has a physical therapist, you got it? I got mine, he ain't here right now though. You go do this every single day, twice a day sometimes. You got your people taking care of you. It's nice to get a little bit of break from it. Let your body rest.
1, 2, 3.
[FOREIGN LANGUAGE] It's up to you.
Oh, okay. All right, cool.
Here, 'cause I'm gonna say it.
Yeah? Yeah.
War!
Go!
Come on. Hut up!
Hold 'em up.
We down. We down. Hey, you got—
wait, wait.
What's up, big fella? Good to see you.
Yeah, it's been a long time. I actually have two questions. First question is, if you had to give your 12-year-old self some advice, what would that advice be?
Stay true to yourself. Find joy in everything that you do because that'll carry you a long way when life throws a lot of challenges and hurdles at you. You got to find the fun in life.
The second question is for like youth basketball in the Bay Area. Do you have like a plan to make it better?
Yeah, I think first and foremost, like I don't have a team or a league or anything, but to be able to create, you know, safe places and refurbish gyms for kids and teams and youth leagues can go play and have the proper environment and facilities to experience the game of basketball. I think that's the way I'm trying to have an impact right now. Doing a lot of work through the Oakland Unified School District, and between Curry Brand and my foundation, me and my wife's foundation, And that's part of our mission to, on top of that, increase middle school sport participation, which is going the wrong way. We want to get kids more active and more engaged because sports can teach you so much about life and giving them the right facilities, the right equipment, training coaches the right way. That's how we want to be involved. And I think we're off to a good start there. Great question though. It's only right, baby. So you mentioned like on the catch, off the dribble, right? You gotta get the elbow— you don't want it externally rotated. You don't want this. You want it like you're giving blood. Like you're giving blood. You want the elbow like this, you want the wrist to turn like that. You know, keep this little pad. You don't want it to look like this. You want it to look like this, and then you can turn it right there.
Bow! Bow! Bow!
Golf lesson over. I think it's time to bring out our guest. Make some noise for the greatest shooter of all time, Stephen Curry. All right, day 3. We're here at the NBA Legends Brunch, gonna pay tribute to some amazing Amazing NBA All-Star legends. Hit up Ayesha's Sweet July truck, and then it's game time, baby. Starting guard for the Western Conference All-Stars, best shooter anybody's ever seen, Stephen Curry. Good morning, everybody. Stephen Curry. The Legends Brunch celebrates the members of the NBA family whose contributions both on and off the court have created indelible memories. And Alvin Adams, we know him as Al. [FOREIGN LANGUAGE] Al spent over 60 years in the Golden State Warriors organization. And was beloved as a player, a coach, an executive, and a civic leader. And Al has a special place in my heart, obviously representing the Golden State Warriors franchise. He welcomed me with open arms back in 2009, uh, when I was drafted out here. He showed me, uh, what it meant to have a true impact on and off the court and speak for those who can't speak for themselves in the community. Um, and his lasting impact will forever be felt. Every time I go into our practice facility at Chase Center, his name is on the practice floor, his picture is on the wall, and his impact in our organization and the entire Bay Area will be felt forever. Is that the greatest point guard of all time?
What up though? All right, what you got?
Go ahead. Go ahead!
Go ahead! I need a venti small tall— 2 shots of cranberry... Morning boost with an extra shot of espresso with a little bit of bourbon!
Hot dog? Want a little bit of bourbon? A little bit of bourbon?!
As y'all can see... It's open till 4 PM today.
Right outside of Spark Social, downtown San Francisco. Make sure y'all go see him.
[FOREIGN LANGUAGE] Come here, let me give you a touch-up.
Oh, I do need a touch-up for sure. I told him I'm exhausted. In the sun in San Francisco this weekend. Gotta get fresh for the game, bro, you know what I'm saying?
Aww. The Grand Soul Blur X50 is just going to wake you up. Wake the brat up. So you know today when all of the greens happen, it's because his eyes are bright and he's ready to take on the game.
You heard it here first. Just like that. Oh, actually. I'm rejuvenated and revived.
You see?
Immediate difference. Look at me, look at me. I don't even know what to say about this weekend. It was unbelievable, you know, just showcase of what the Bay Area is all about, from Oakland to San Francisco, all the Dub Nation, like, We did a lot. We had a lot of fun. I think it was a mission accomplished on putting the Bay on full stage. So see y'all next time. [FOREIGN LANGUAGE]
