Stephen Curry, Kevin Hart, and A'ja Wilson give a behind-the-scenes look at shooting a Chase bank commercial. They talk about stand-ins, recall meeting at an AAU basketball camp, and joke around with the crew in multiple languages.
All right, we back on set. It's been a minute, but on set with Chase, Kevin Hart, Asia Wilson. Excited 'cause it's always a fun experience being on set with the great Kevin Hart. The man makes every production that much more fun. Lifts the whole vibe. So I'm excited to run it back. Last time they had me on a motorcycle.
I prefer the old intro. This is much better. I don't think so. Did you clear this with legal? Clear everything with legal.
You know what I'm saying? Never been too sure.

He had all the one-liners coming back at me.
How about the team? What they need me for? What they need us for? Got it right here. Yeah, where are we? And then you'll step in. There's this ball that swishes behind them. You can kind of see it. It's kind of this direct. And then you step in, and then that would be your line.
The stand-in life, it's a very underappreciated role. All the different cutaways you see of arms, limbs, back of head. I say that loosely because you can't get the back of Court, who's my stand-in. He's been my stand-in for like, I wanna say like a good 8 years. He's had every hairstyle in the book, down to some glued-on braids when I went through that phase, to the high top, and as you can see, He's bald. Kevin Hart, on the other hand, he was born to do this. I'm not gonna say that he runs home and tells everybody, "Hey, I'm Kevin Hart's stand-in," but I know he takes his job seriously and he's proud to make Kevin's job and life a little bit easier on set. So it's pretty dope to see how they make this whole thing operate, getting everything set up, keeping things efficient. [SPEAKING SPANISH] Even down to Asia, that's not her hair. But she's got it dialed in, all the mannerisms and stuff. So we need them to love what they do and be committed to what they do to make this all go smoothly. So we got energy to bring what we need to do when the cameras are rolling. Stand-in life, shout out to all the stand-ins.
[FOREIGN LANGUAGE] I was like, oh, that was good. That was clear. That was— I was like, oh, they about to let us see. We got it too though.

If he doesn't remember the way I do, I think we was in basketball camp together.
You sound like somebody that's one of them.
Oh, it was the camp camp? One of those AAU things. Tournaments that we played in back in the day. You know, me and Staff are the same age, so—
but you don't remember. I must— either you played up a couple of age groups, or I played up a couple of age groups, or you came down.
I can't believe you don't remember this. It was when I— if I don't recall, I remember because you were friends with Derek. I knew John. John and Derek were friends with Todd. That circle— This, that, and the third, and that's it at the end of the day. That was when we got close. That was when we got close. That's when I taught you this.

And then he kept playing ball. I started comedy. Comedy. I went this way, he went that way, but we started the same place.

Good to see me. Long day, but fun day. Anytime you get with Kevin, Asia, and all the Chase. We have fun. I don't think I've laughed that much in a very long time. So, can't wait for y'all to see the spot. We outta here. I think that's iconic. I can't lie. It takes somebody with that much stature to, you know, to have a consistent framing where it's only about him. And pretty much wherever he goes, if he does that, it's always about him.
