Woo!
Oh! Did you hear that noise? You are just too darn good! Hype me up! Hey, nice to meet you. Very nice to meet you.
How are you?
Doing fantastic.
Good.
Thank you for making the trip out here.
Thank you for coming. This is gonna be awesome.
Absolutely.
You all the way from Florida?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's real.
Oh, that's so good. Yeah, man.
Man, we're out here in Palo Alto, hanging out with Callaway and Gabby Golf over here. As you can see by that tempo and that sound, I gotta bring my A-game if I'm gonna win this thing. But we're gonna have a little 1v1 match, talk about the latest and greatest in the world of golf, everything she's doing, what Callaway's got going on. So I'm super excited, man. Let's have some fun.
So if I win, you're gonna call up another NBA player who plays golf. Yes. And basically try and convince them to play a 1v1 with me next time?
I got a couple guys in mind.
Okay, and then yours, if you win?
If I win, next year at the American Century at Lake Tahoe, the Thursday practice round, Gabby has to carry my new official, not yet created tour bag. That's gonna be extremely heavy and extremely loud. You gotta carry it for 18 holes.
It's gonna be heavy, but I'm willing, okay? It's not much of a punishment for me, I'm excited.
What do you got here?
I got 135, but this is not a great lie at all. So we are gonna go off the top a little bit.
I love hearing how other people work through shots and work through the game. Like, it's my favorite part.
That was pretty much expected.
Yeah, that's just unfair lie. And now you get an even better one on the car path. All right.
Well, you know what? Gotta deal with what you got.
Oh, come on. You just gave me an early, you like drama.
All right, you're one up already.
You like that round? That hole was nice, you know, just, I was confused. I had thought my ball was in 3 different spots. I had no idea where it was. My name is Alex Riggs and I am Stephen Curry's golf coach. Loved the tee shot, nice aggressive line, just a hair right, left him with a flip wedge, which he left below the hole, easy 2-putt. Show me some hands right here.
This is—
Little flop city.
What do we got here? Is it in the range?
Oh, good.
Where's your ball?
I tried to go for the hero shot and nuke a wedge and it did not nuke. So I'm here in the bunker, but it's a par 5 and I'm here in 2, so get up and down and keep applying pressure. That's a good try.
Oh, good shot. Perfect fit.
No clap for me.
That was great.
Thank you.
Oh, come on, just lift it out.
Take it with you.
Thanks.
Now wipe it, see?
You're good.
Just keeping you in it, just keeping you in it. Oh, that's so bad.
Be good.
You don't like it? Nah, they like put me behind the corner of the backboard and like, here, shoot that. Look at this. You can't tell on the TV or the camera or the YouTube or wherever you're seeing this beautiful video at, but I have literally a circus putt, 30 feet of break right to left. I wanna chip it, but I don't wanna mess up their greens and not get invited back. I was like, if I can get inside of 10 feet, then that's a win.
Yeah.
Do it, dog!
That was a great putt.
Thank you. All right, the stage is set. Uh-oh.
All right.
Back to square.
Back to all square after 3.
You are just too good.
You're good, you're good, you're good. That was a good putt.
This is not my day, man. Never a doubt. We're burning daylight out here.
Hey.
My pops always used to say that.
All right.
We're burning daylight.
Let's see what happens. This is gonna—
You're not gonna clear these trees.
No, it's gonna hook for sure.
That's what we call rolling the dice.
No, it's okay, I got it. I think I got it.
She's trying to be Superwoman right now.
Even if I stay straight, stay straight.
Oh, she did it.
Oh!
Did you hear that noise? That's like we said, lay up on the tee box and then you can go over. For the viewers, explain that in basketball terms. Uh, which part? That last shot. That would be like, uh, coming down and pick and roll, you're trapped, picked up your dribble, and instead of passing to the open guy, you just fling it at the rim and see what happens.
I'm gonna shoot the best shot I can and see what happens.
And she turned it over. And she got a steal. Go!
Didn't see it at all. Almost.
Operation success, but the patient died. It's a Bob McIlroyism. Need a par.
Good putt.
All right, that puts 2 up.
Thank you for letting me have more time to read that putt.
Think of any more horror puns, you got any more? Exactly. He's like, "What is that?" We need the origin story of the Young Wolf Club. So obviously my guy Cannon, when he was born, we got the unicorn, which is Riley, the butterfly, which is Ryan, and Cannon's the young wolf. It's what— there's a translation of his name that signified wolf and young wolf. Obviously he was the baby boy. So then Father's Day, I think 2 years ago, I got head covers for each of them. This is before Kyse was born, but I have a wolf for the driver, I had a unicorn for the hybrid, and a butterfly for the 3-wood. So keep the family everywhere I go. What do you think Kyse is gonna be? He's a turtle.
Oh, get in the hole. That's a good chip. You have no idea how it's gonna come out.
I want it so bad. All right. All right.
2 putts.
Pressure. I kind of feel it, to be honest. It's a nice little tune-up for Tahoe. I have some stakes on the line. Oh, he wanted it so bad. He wanted it so bad.
Oh, so what happens now? Do we go for a chip-off?
We have to, right?
Yeah, let's chip it off. Where do you want to go? You pick.
We're gonna go right where that ball lands. Okay. On— Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.
Okay, on shoot.
Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.
Oh, let's go. You're going first.
Okay, perfect.
Let's see it.
All right. Go. Roll. Come back, come back. Go. All right, not bad, Chip. Oh, oh, who's closer? Wait, I can't see that.
That is unbelievable. Are you kidding me?
What are we supposed to do?
That is unbelievable. I don't think you can make that up.
You can't make this up. We're tying everything.
That is— oh, it's clear though.
It's clear.
It is clear. Who am I calling?
It's up to you.
It's up to you.
Unbelievable. Whoever you want.
Look at that! Walk me down. That was crazy. Oh, I hate it and I love it all at the same time.
That was awesome though. That was awesome.
Thank you. Unbelievable putt, Emily. Get your back up, Stephen. Get your back in it.
We did Stephen Curry's first ever 1v1 on YouTube. I ended up winning, but it was such a close match.
It was down to a dimple.
Literally.
Literally.
Huge thank you to Callaway for setting this up. I'm so excited to be part of Team Callaway. This is really a family, honestly, and this is the next step, so I'm really excited. Thanks for watching. See you guys next time.
Helped at every white ball. Oh, I got it. Scoop and mic you up? Oh, yes, sir. How you been, man? Doing great. How you doing?
See you.
Me as well. What's your PR in terms of distance? I can carry it like 305 on the regular, so obviously it matters where you play and what that actually means, but I can carry it like 305. I'm saving them. It does have a nice feel though. Yeah, it does. For sure, just don't hit it off the toe. Yeah, what's the proper way to do it?
That's kind of like—
Is that sold?
Is that— I don't know. I guess like you kind of want it, so it's almost like a, from the top, looks like you want to hit it on the toe. Putting challenge. I got my Good Good guys, you know, cheering me on. But I've seen some guys set the bar, so I'm excited to see what I can do with this here hockey putter stick thing, whatever this looks like. Golf ball whacker, guys.
Big golf ball whacker guy.
Go to your home.
Go to your home.
All right, we ready?
We ready.
There you go. That's too hard. There it is. That's better. There you go. That's better. Hold it.
15 in.
Oh no.
15 in already.
And I'm pulling.
This thing's taking a left turn right now. Why did we pick this putt?
Yeah, Bobby.
There it is. Oh no! 4. Here we go. 3.
Get outta here.
2. 1.
Walk off.
Bonus.
Oh no, that's so bad! I don't care, go shoot it.
All right, that's the warmup, let's run it again!
Yeah, shoot that, thank you.
Run it again! We're out here at Palo Alto Hills Country Club and we are joined by none other than the legend himself on the basketball floor and off, Mr. Stephen Curry, welcome!
Hey, thank you, fellas. Good to see y'all again.
Yeah.
No!
Can you sign half of it? Can you sign half? Because it kind of kissed the lip.
Brad, what'd that do? I was more looking at you for your reaction. A left-center punch.
All right, Steph, you make this, I'll sign something that says you're a better athlete than LeBron. Here we go. Here we go. Tip for tat here.
Yeah.
Tit for tat, right?
Come on, putt. Come on.
Thank you.
You know what I'm saying? Hype me up.
You already knew it, but he's got some game. Great golfer. I mean, greatest shooter of all time in the NBA, so it makes sense.
Yeah.
Big thank you to Steph again for coming out. And we are on the road to 2 million subs. I think we're on the way here. Steph, you're gonna be a big help.
Yeah, yeah.
So thank you. I appreciate you, brother.
I love doing it.
So please hit that subscribe button. We appreciate you. We'll see you on the next one.
Much love. Peace.
Peace, guys.
Yes, sir.
Thank you, Steph.
Steph, seriously. That was a freaking blast. Thanks for hanging in there. It was a good time. Yeah, that was good. Hey, go play well these next few days. I'm gonna make it happen. All right? Knock Marty off that podium. You know what time it is. You know what time it is. We just gonna take that outro as our outro. Absolutely, 'cause he— nobody can do it better than that right there.
