Woo!
I'm here in Oakland about to surprise 40 kids from the East Oakland Youth Development Center with a moment— oh, wait. What was it again? It's our brand. It's right there. You know what I'm saying? I just gotta put it all together. It's a really cool experience here partnering with— palm we're gonna give these kids, and I can't put it on with one hand because my hand's broke. Hopefully give them a fun moment that reflects the Life Mode philosophy that we live by. They think they're coming here to watch an educational video, but instead we're gonna show them a screening of my documentary called Emmanuel.
They probably picked it up.
Is it? Listen now. What's this?
Who's ready for a movie? What's up?
What's up? What's up? What's up? Oh my God. Thank y'all for coming. This is a pretty cool experience. Obviously, I'm here on behalf of Palm. And then we see Life Mode back here to kind of give you guys an idea of what that means for me. I know there's a lot of things going on in our society now. It's fast-paced. Everybody's connected with their phones and all that type of stuff. But with the Warriors, We are very purposeful around creating these type of moments where we can engage and connect on a very personal level. We'll go out to dinner, we'll go out and do fun stuff. We have a rule that we have a basket out either right when you walk in, somebody knows, you put your phones down in so that you can be in the moment. I appreciate you doing that to get in, but we're gonna do a little kind of curveball and we're gonna watch the documentary called "Emmanuel" that I was proud to executive produce. We'll have a little quick talk afterwards, but I hope you enjoy the experience. And again, this is about connecting and bringing people together. People together having fun. Experiences like these are truly amazing where you get to connect with the next generation and hopefully give them experiences that'll shape their perspective, their future in a great way. Being able to just be in a moment, enjoy the experience that's going on right now and who you're experiencing it with. You're not distracted, you're enjoying what's going on, and you're having fun. And those moments are just so valuable. I want to hear from you guys, you know, what you got out of it, so don't be shy to speak up as we kind of get into it.
Can you just talk a little bit about how you see faith and social justice and, like, if that played a role in you kind of getting involved in the movie at all?
It's everything. That's how I see the world. And so my whole goal now is to talk about the stuff that I know that I'm passionate about and not just be out there just saying whatever. Good question.
Thank you. What form of action do you think we should take to, like, highlight the stuff that's going on and what we can do to help? Do you think that this film has changed your personal perspective in life?
I just want to say I appreciate the participation because this is amazing. [SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE] I definitely think the kids were present and locked in to the screening, and I think the message will hopefully hit home, and they'll be able to take that principle with them in their daily lives and find those moments that they can create for themselves. Thanks to Palm for making this special moment happen. Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel and hit the bell down below. To stay— what? To stay informed.
