Stephen Curry's foundation just unveiled its 17th renovated play space. He talks about the energy in the room when kids and teachers saw it, and why his foundation skips putting his name on things. The point is impact, not legacy.
This is our 17th play space renovation. And when you think back to our favorite moments, it is showing up, doing an unveiling, just feeling the energy from the kids, the teachers. When they feel seen and they give you that energy back, like it makes the world of a difference. And for us, we didn't want our name on the foundation 'cause it's not a pat ourselves on the back, or impact over legacy is the mission, but it's just about understanding we have an opportunity to bring meaningful, sustainable change. There's a lot of people that helped us along the way coming up, and we have the ability to do that at a very large scale, and we're blessed to be able to do it.
