All right, here we go. Y'all ready? 3, 2, 1. At a time when we need sports and competition more than ever, 7 superstar athletes and creators will go head to head to put their true at-home skills to the test, vying to reach new heights all while raising money for a good cause. This is the Ultimate Home Championship. Let's get it.
[MUSIC] I'm so pumped.
Ah!
I did it!
Let's go! The final round, here it is.
It's the moment we've all been waiting for.
Yo, Stephen Curry here. I know you normally see me on the basketball court, but today I am bringing you the wildest, biggest at-home competition you've ever seen. I've invited 7 of my friends who happen to be some of the most competitive athletes and creators to face off in a crazy competition that I invented. These are the baddest, most athletic, snack-eating, binge-watching, never-run-out-of-TP competitors in the world. And by the way, they made me promise to stay out of this one, so you can just call me Commissioner Curry. So here's how it all goes down. Our 7 competitors are gonna face off in 4 different challenges, each testing their athletic and domestic prowess. We'll have a final showdown between our 2 finalists. Whoever comes out on top at the very end wins the Homie Trophy and the title of the World's Greatest Stay-at-Home Athlete.
Woo-hoo!
And standing by to cover all the action, I've got an all-star broadcast team with me, and I mean the best of the best. Who can run a video call on short notice? Down to you, Katie.
Thanks so much, Steph. Welcome everybody to the first annual Ultimate Home Championship. I'm ESPN's Katie Nolan. Here in the booth with me, the one and only Ninja. Ninja, how do you feel about the competition today?
I'm feeling absolutely incredible. You're gonna take a look at some of these athletes. We got Ronda Rousey, Lindsey Vonn, Chris London, and I'm telling you, this is gonna be an incredible show.
We also have an incredible sideline reporter. We're joined by Ego Wodum, who is on the sideline in the middle of— some sort of action.
Ego? Thank you so much, Katie and Ninja. I am so excited. The energy here on the sideline is fucking infectious. Guys, I think this is gonna be such a crazy one, and I am so excited and thrilled to be right here in the midst of it. I'm gonna throw it back to you, Katie and Ninja.
We are so excited to have you, and we're excited to have you, people viewing on YouTube. Let's not forget the most important part of this competition. It's all in support of the UN Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, which is giving patients and frontline workers critical help. They're also supporting research for a vaccine that we need as quickly as possible. Throughout the show, you guys can click the Donate button or go to COVID19ResponseFund.org to give, because together we can all make a difference. So without further ado, let's get into the action.
All right, we've waited long enough. Our first challenge is testing at-home speed and agility. This is— The Rubbish Relay.
Ninja, I don't know if you're familiar, but in sports we've got a term called garbage time, and I don't think anything is more garbage time than this.
Yeah, I mean, I don't really know who came up with the rules for the Rubbish Relay, but it's definitely rubbish.
Here's how it works. Each competitor starts with 3 garbage bins. Resting on top of each bin is a raw egg. Competitors will place the eggs inside the bins and race them 50 feet across the finish line as fast as they can.
But there's a catch. If an egg breaks, competitors must race the bin back to the start line start and get another egg before trying again. The competitor to get all 3 bins and 3 unbroken eggs across the finish line with the best time will be one step closer to the UHC title.
Go, baby.
All right, first up, we have Chris London. Now, if you're a fan of NBA 2K, you know him as part of 2Hype, and he looks way too hype for this competition. A bumpy driveway, cobblestones. Gonna be interesting to see, Ninja.
All right, Chris, you got the height, you got the wingspan. I think you're gonna do all right in this competition.
And here we go, we're starting off. He's gonna be placing these eggs in the bin.
Each egg first and then try to bring it across his driveway, an interesting strategy.
Ooh, he almost dropped that third one. He's gonna need to definitely focus up here, set the tone for the rest of this tournament. Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's see if he's gonna be doing one or two at a time.
Looks like two.
Oh, he's gonna go for the two. Very risky. The whole point is to make sure these eggs do not break. Look at that pace.
And if they do, competitors will have to start back at the start again with a new egg and complete the task again.
Look at that face. 32 seconds is the time. He's checking to see these eggs aren't broken.
I don't see a crack. Let's see.
Oh, no.
Oh, no. Oh, he's found a crack. Oh, no. He broke an egg.
No.
His time would have been sick.
So that time of 32 seconds, right out the window. Hopefully he has another egg on hand. He does. Oh!
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. What is he doing?
Smart. Very smart. A minute and 3 is not bad. Let's check in on Chris London.
I would have had an amazing time if I did succeed, but I think I put myself to a good place to win. So unless somebody in the competition was able to take 2 at one time, no cracks, I think I got this. I think going into these next round, I'm really going to lock in. So I kind of like being down.
He did do pretty good. Let's see the instant replay on that moment he found out the egg was cracked. Clearly upset. Clearly upset.
Clearly broken. Oh, gotta love those instant replays.
Not a bad finish though. He ends up with a 1:03 as his final time, which puts him in first place. Important to remember, only one person has competed so far. Let's check out our second competitor, Ronda Rousey. You may know her from the WWE or UFC. She's certainly a competitor. I'm not sure— something might be on fire. I'd need a different angle to see. That is in fact a smoke machine. Smoke machine, very good. Bar mitzvahs to know. Interesting to see if that's going to help or hurt her, Ninja.
I think that it's definitely going to help her. Smoke machine, I mean, when does it not?
What is that smoke?
What is she doing? Oh my gosh, she's been in too many Fast and Furiouses. Oh my gosh.
I mean, I know I'm the host of the show, Rhonda, and I don't know if that's in our budget for you to have a smoke machine everywhere you go in this show. But I mean, don't be sending us no invoices for that.
Much different approach, much more careful, methodical. One at a time, she's taking them and treating them Just like a little baby.
Yeah, she says that she's respecting the egg. Fun fact, Rhonda was sent a dozen eggs and chose not to use them. Since she has chickens, she wanted to use her own eggs. That's probably why she's treating them like one of her children.
That's absolutely beautiful. You love to see it.
Well done by Rhonda respecting the egg. You got to crack a few to make an omelet, but not Rhonda.
57 seconds, and she's going to take down Chris London's score. Setting the bar just a little bit higher.
As she always does. So Ronda Rousey is in the lead now after 2 competitors. I beat Chris London by 2 seconds, and I didn't waste eggs.
Wow.
Wow. It feels good. It feels good not to be an asshole. Meanwhile, things got off to a bumpy start for some of our other competitors as well. Lindsey Vonn struggled with the slope of her driveway—
Yeah!
Wonderful. —resulting in 2 cracked eggs early in the race. Yet she was still able to stay in the running with a competitive time. DeAndre Jordan's long legs, on the other hand, weren't enough to beat propel him to the time he needed to be competitive. Clearly nervous about breaking his eggs, DeAndre's bumpy grass put him at a disadvantage, but it didn't affect his confidence. But Von Miller brought his explosive speed to the challenge and his calf. Clocked a fantastic time without cracking a single egg, putting him at the top of the leaderboard with only a few competitors to go.
So I'm standing by with Von Miller. Von, how do you How do you feel about your performance in this challenge?
Uh, I felt like the game plan was perfect. You know, just get the eggs over as fast as possible without cracking them, and, uh, yeah, I felt pretty good about this.
Next up, we have the young boxer, 21-year-old Ryan Garcia, who's got an undefeated pro record in his sport. Let's see if he can carry that over to the Rubbish Relay.
All right, Ryan Garcia. We know what he's like in the ring. But can he take on the challenges at home with the UHC? I don't know.
Okay, Ryan, how do you like your eggs?
I like 'em scrambled.
I'm not gonna lie. I like 'em scrambled. I like to, you know, put ketchup on my eggs and, you know, eat them all day.
Okay, all right. That's good. Well, we don't want them scrambled in this challenge, all right? Just don't forget that. I'm not supposed to help you. I'm not supposed to help you. But we don't want the eggs scrambled in this challenge, right?
Thank you, Diego. You're the best.
Let's see what he brings to the table as he drops that first egg down into bin number 1.
He's leaning way further in than anyone else has. It might be just because of his height.
That's right. Ryan Garcia is a lightweight, so he and I do have that in common.
Okay, he's done 2. He's doing 2 at once. Smart move.
Oh, I— It looks like he just did the switcheroo.
From a push to a pull with absolute ease.
You see that quick adjustment? I know y'all seen that. Let's go. I know you seen that quick adjustment. Whoo! Please don't break. Please don't when I get back over there.
Now, with the third bend, he starts with a push and continues to push two-handed safely.
Oh, my goodness. Done. Time of 38. Man. And he's checking that egg, and it's clean.
Smells it just because why not? Clean as a whistle. Ew. Last but not least—
Oh, please, please no. Clean!
They secured the spot. I don't care what nobody say. I need— hey, I need a replay.
Let's check out the instant replay, yeah.
Switched from the push to the pull with precision and ease.
I was losing control.
Missed switch. 38 seconds. What a dominating lead.
Next up, we've got the soccer skills duo with 12 million followers, F2, based out of London. Both stretching out here, although Billy has been chosen to compete in this event.
Ooh, I don't know if they got the memo. We only invited one competitor, but they brought two, so I guess we'll allow it. Let's see if the competitors have any problems with it.
F2, there's two of them. Is it like a DJ group?
This is probably the smoothest court, if you will, that we've seen so far in the competition. It almost looks like it was made exactly for this. We'll see if that helps them out.
Oh my God, look how fast this man is moving. Billy not taking any prisoners. And look at this. I mean, this is the fastest I think we've ever seen anyone go.
For sure. I mean, we thought Von Miller was fast, but Billy is all-out sprinting.
He goes with the double strategy. By the way, the double— I mean, that just looked like there's going to be some cracked eggs there, a little bit of stumbling, and they're actually leaning on one another. 29 seconds. Dude!
Oh my gosh. That is a great time.
That was a great time. And now we have some unnecessary showboating with the cracking of the eggs. He's just cracking the eggs and throwing them in the trash can? Oh! Oh, that's some wasteful— That's got to be quickest showboating.
That felt good.
Let's send it down to Ego, who's standing by with F2.
Okay, okay. Nice job. Y'all did a nice job with that. So how are you feeling now?
I'm proud.
I'm proud. It's one of my proudest moments, mate. On YouTube, it was good. It was good. I can't see anyone beating it. I really can't. I just think that we had everything. We had the pace. We had the placement of the eggs.
Yeah.
And then we had that—
the secret weapon.
Yeah.
3 became 2. And it all came together.
Come on! Do you!
There's that humility I like from F2. Back to you, Katie and Ninja.
All right, Ego, thank you. Quick reminder on how players score points. Competitors receive 10 points for a first-place finish in a round, 7 points for second, 5 points for third, followed by 4, 3, 2, and 1. Their points are totaled after each round to determine which 2 competitors will advance points to the final head-to-head challenge. We thought Ryan's time of 38 was certainly gonna be the best we saw, but F2 comes out of here with a finish of 29 seconds, which means after Challenge 1, they have a total of 10 points, with Ryan Garcia right behind them in 7 points, Von Miller with 5, and the rest of our loser competition behind them with, uh, varying degrees of points. So round 1 of the Ultimate Home Championship in the books here. Ninja, are there any strategies that you've picked up on that you're gonna integrate into your own chore completion in the future?
Switcheroo 9000 is definitely going to make my wife a lot happier, 'cause I'm gonna be able to take out that trash a little faster and get back to, you know, giving her pretty much whatever she needs.
Well, nobody wants to hear us talk, because who gives a shit? So let's kick it back to Commissioner Curry to set up our next round of competition.
You know, I grew up shooting socks in the laundry basket. Basketball. But this challenge is something else. It's gonna require some good strategy and clean execution. Get ready for the Hamper Strip Down.
See that? That's what's gonna win it.
The Hamper Strip Down, not to be confused with the Hamster Strip Down, which is a very different competition you won't find here on YouTube. All right, let's take a look at how the Hamper Strip Down works. Competitors will shoot articles of clothing into a hamper that's 20 feet away.
Each competitor has to start out wearing each article of clothing before stripping them off and shooting them one at a time. Each kind of item has a different point value.
Pants and jackets are worth 10 points. Shorts and shirts are worth 5 points. Hats and headbands, 3 points. And socks are worth 1. You get half points for any item that is hanging on the rim.
The timer is set for 45 seconds. So you gotta strip fast.
Let's go down to the sidelines to hear from the competitors.
There's really not a lot of correlation here between what I used to do and this challenge, but I am pretty good with laundry.
You know, my thinking is pretty simple. Take my clothes off and score. I'm gonna look like Michael Jordan in "The Last Dance." I don't miss. Ha ha ha! Let's go! Twist! Twist! Twist! Oh, stop.
For my competition, I would just say, hold your follow-through.
Von Miller, currently in 3rd place in our competition, now takes on the hamper strip-down to see if he can move up.
Okay, Von. Layers are looking kind of thin. I'm guessing you're pretty confident in your shooting ability?
I didn't put too much on. You know, I feel like I'm gonna be efficient with my shots. Fewer layers, bigger points.
Yeah, you know, 20 feet, Question mark? Does look like 20 feet to me. I'd like to see if we can get a little tape measure out there. Let's see how he's gonna be approaching this. Looks like— oh, and he's gonna choke the first shot.
Now again, this is a timed event, so I will say I'm a little surprised by seeing how slowly Vaughn is choosing to remove his clothes. This may hurt him in the long run.
Oh!
That's right, and try your best not to be distracted by the man stretching in the background. The competition is happening here in the foreground as we turn our shirts and jackets into balls and try to throw them into a hamper 20 feet away. It's clearly sports.
Let's just say, Von, I'm glad you're a lot faster off the edge than you are at taking your clothes off and throwing them in a laundry basket.
The official tally is 1 pair of pants and 1 shirt, which equals 15 total points. I don't know how many points he missed, but maybe we shouldn't tally that so he doesn't feel sad. Von Miller is in first place, but he's the only one who's competed, and I have a funny feeling Somebody will take that honor away. The hamper strip-down caused some of the competitors to fold under pressure. Lindsay Vaughn was not able to eke out the performance that she needed after her strong performance in the first round. With only one item in the hamper, she did some real damage to her standing. Meanwhile, F2 tested a risky strategy by shooting from above. Boom!
All points.
But their soccer skills had no use issues here and resulted in a disappointing performance, especially for Jeremy's teammate, Billy. Jeremy putting the F in F2 with a final score of 5 points, putting him in 3rd place along with his teammate as we head on to our 4th competitor. It turned out that even basketball skills couldn't do it for Chris London, who struggled with distance and preparation.
Oh, he missed. Isn't that like your mission in life is to put a thing in the thing?
I don't have any more clothes.
He's got no more clothes left. First time we've seen someone run out of clothes.
Take off your shirt. Take your shirt— take off your socks, I meant to say.
Listen, Katie, okay? We got kids watching at home with their families.
Chris London still takes first place with a final total of 15.5 points. Take your clothes off. Ryan Garcia fought against himself as he struggled to get out of some of his clothing, which was clearly throwing his focus early in the event. While much more prepared than Chris, his physical fitness and youthful vigor were not enough to earn him a score he hoped for. Oh my God. He's tied for second place with 15 points in this event, much like Von Miller. So it's not gonna be enough to give him any sort of lead. Nothing like what we saw from him in the first round. Next up, we have probably the favorite in this event, basketball player DeAndre Jordan. This should be an event that Jordan is prepared for, Ninja.
All right, DeAndre. I've been his teammate. I've played against him. I know he's an ultimate competitor. I feel like he's gonna show up this time.
Our sideline reporter Ego has DeAndre Jordan. Let's send it down to her and see what he has to say.
Okay, you are clearly favored being an NBA basketball player in this challenge. You think you're gonna deliver what people think you're gonna deliver?
This is the only challenge that I'm a little nervous about because it is a little bit out of my range, but I'm prepared. I also play basketball for work, so hopefully that's on my side. If not, then I take back that statement.
He better make every single one. If you don't make every single one, DeAndre, I'm going to be disappointed.
I love how he's taking the little turnaround stance. And here we go. Starts off with the hat. First person to ever do that.
We know you can throw a basketball. What about a pair of socks and shorts with a jacket on top of it?
A jacket knocking over the laundry basket, but that counts. That jacket appears to be in. We're not really sure of the rules, but if I were, I'd say that's in.
Dude, I'm just looking at the view right now.
He's mixing up the overhand, underhand, and he's actually hitting a lot of these shots here. He's made more points so far than anybody, and he's got 15 seconds left to keep up this pace. Look at the focus.
Here we go with a pair of pants that misses completely. Just a total airball from DeAndre Jordan. There's another half-in t-shirt. He is killing it. Piling up the points. A full-in t-shirt here at the end, or maybe it was a pair of shorts. I'm confused.
All right, DeAndre, looks like out of this quarantine, they're gonna have to change the scouting report on you, move your range a little bit back.
A fantastic performance that was absolutely needed. Don't count DeAndre Jordan out yet, folks. Let's check in with Ego, who's standing by with Ronda Rousey.
All right, I'm here with Ronda, about to get into the hamper strip-down. Ronda, what is your strategy for this one? I really just want to beat basketball player Chris London at this because it's basically his whole mission in life. Do you want to throw a little shade his way? Uh, yeah. Your entire mission in life is to put balls in a basket. Sounds fucking stupid.
Damn! Next up, we've got Ronda Rousey. You'll remember in that first round, she brought in a smoke machine, which had an interesting effect on her strategy. We'll see if she brings it with her here to the hamper slam.
Strip down. Whoa, whoa, Rhonda, backboard cheese!
That basket looks a little bit too close to the wall, giving her a little bit of an advantage, Katie. I don't know about this one.
Yeah, Rhonda continues to push the limits of the rules.
Look at this strategy, she's got a closet as a backboard.
Rhonda, she's got a little, little bit of a cheat in her, ain't she?
She shoots another jacket and it lands Beautifully on a ledge, which awards her no points, but it, you know, gives her some style points if you're keeping track.
Oh God. Seconds left.
Go!
Oh, there it is. Here goes for another one. Second Hail Mary. Boom, she nails it.
Yeah! Let's take a replay here of the anger. And this is that style point I was talking about. Just beautifully landed on that ledge.
I mean, not really any strategy or form to her throw. That's mostly just smoke machine. Is it getting to you too?
It's very smoky in here, Ninja. Who's the basketball star now, London? Woo-hoo!
Dude, mm, I'm salty right now.
But somehow, Rhonda, 25 points in second place.
Dang, Rhonda. Rhonda's a beast.
And let's take a look at the standings after The second challenge is completed. We have DeAndre Jordan in first place with 12 points. Right behind him, the duo of F2 with 11 points. We have got Ryan with 10.5 points, and Rhonda's hanging on there in fourth place with 10 points, followed by Von Miller, the other Von, Lindsey, and Chris London. Baskets. I am the queen of baskets.
I respect all the competition. But as you can see, nobody's out here with me, so I'm my only competition today.
If you ain't first, you're last. This next challenge requires you to jump high and stack random items up in your house, which I do when I'm bored, and I hope I'm not alone. This— is the Homestead High Jump.
The Homestead High Jump, Ninja. Certainly an interesting competition, not only because of the rules, but because this is where we find out out who's gonna make it to our final. Competitors have 1 minute to race around their house and gather as many items as they can to stack them into a massive tower.
Each competitor has to jump over the stack before the time runs out. Scores are based on the number of items in their stack plus the height of the stack in inches. But if they knock over the stack during their jump, they'll get 0 points for the height. The more points you get, the closer you'll be to getting that homie trophy.
Next up is Lindsey Vonn.
I mean, I'm hoping that I can make up for the hamper challenge with this next high jump challenge, but I can't jump really at all.
Lindsey Vonn sits in 6th place. She needs a huge performance here in the 3rd round with the homestead high jump.
Starting outside and immediately picking up something that is gonna be very helpful. That's gonna add a lot of height and extra points.
So you're seeing Lindsey have to deal with the interference from her dog there.
Oh, she got a lot of dog beds. Okay.
Looks like the dog was not happy to see his bed taken away there, but Lindsey knows that everything is on the line. She's just adding random items at this point.
Put it all on. Lindsey's gonna jump into the pool, folks.
Here we go. Here we go. Does she clear it? Oh, she's gonna take one of those with her.
It's interesting to note if that counts counts as a clear. If we take a look at the replay, she clears most of the items but does knock off that one pillow. We count the clear and the stack minus the knocked-off pillow, which means Lindsey ends up with a total of 43 points.
You know what, she tried to cushion herself into the lead, but the pillow went in the water. Cushion, pillow, did you get it?
I mean, I think I'm, you know, I still think I'm probably on the podium, but you know, it's just up to the judges. On, you know, how many points I get deducted for the seat cushion.
I'm assuming on the slopes you gotta have that good lower body strength, and you definitely demonstrated that on that high jump. So shout out to you, Lindsey. That was pretty nice.
Lindsey ends up with a total of 43 points. I don't know if it'll be enough, but certainly showing that she's not ready to give up yet. Chris London also needs a big performance here in the third round as he's currently in 16th place.
And you can just see the desperation in his face.
The stakes are so high.
This is it.
He's been preparing for this moment his entire life.
A lot of household kitchen items.
I mean, this is it.
A toaster oven. We're getting hype from the paper towels. Paper towels? Where'd he get those paper towels? I've been trying to get paper towels for months. This all seems rather expensive, Ninja, for things that may break when you jump over them.
Yeah, I'm not sure that he really thought this through, Katie. But here's what I want to know is how does he plan on clearing this?
He's tall, so he probably could jump over anything, to be honest.
And look at that dinosaur. Does he have what it takes? Here we go, the moment of truth.
Ooh.
Oh, goodness. Oh, he faked us out.
Oh.
Ah, that's smart, because Lindsey— Lindsey had the pool. Turn me up!
Oh. Turn me up! There we go.
He cleared it! That's 62 inches, 10 items for a total of 72 points. But wait one second, Ninja. I'm gonna need to call back that replay because I may have a question here about his foot and one of those items. Let's take a look.
Just because he tried to do a little exploit and go around the cup, Chris, great job, but if this were a dunk contest, we would say that you didn't clear the height all the way. So a little bit of a deduction, 5 inches from your jump, but that was solid. That was solid though.
Those 5 points might cost him this entire tournament. Life on the line.
DeAndre Jordan is in first place. The man is known for dunks. He's got hops. This could be his round.
He's definitely using the, uh, the pool Lindsey Vonn strategy.
Maybe a little bit overcautious there, DeAndre. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's a beast, though. He's a beast, man. Look at him. What a ledge.
As DeAndre Jordan grabs 3 pillows here, important to remember that's gonna be 1 point for items because it counts as pillow. A lot of these items aren't that tall. Lots of books. A well-read man, DeAndre Jordan. You love to see it. As he removes his socks and prepares, let's see if he pulls it off. Here we go.
Candy, he's gonna jump and he cleared it! He killed it!
He nailed it! A beautiful clearance, 55 inches, 12 items. That's only gonna be 67 points for DeAndre Jordan.
That was pretty impressive, DeAndre. Pretty impressive. I mean, you are 7-foot, so you should be able to jump over that, but that was pretty impressive.
Beautiful, majestic, boom!
Man, that guy's got a big house, right?
Made a beautiful job. Great job. Form. I just don't think 67 is the number he was hoping for. Ninja, we're going to need to see something real special from Vaughn here with the Homestead High Jump.
Definitely. This man needs a huge victory if he's going to want to have any chance at making it to the finals.
Using that laundry bin from the last round. Love to see a recurring character here in the competition.
You definitely love to see things make reappearances here in our very first ever U.S. HC. But now my question is, Katie, what's he gonna land on?
It's a good question, Ninja. I'm also curious to know what he's waiting for as this building part of the round is timed, and he's going to want to get as many items as possible on that stack and make it as high as he can.
Looks like he's finished trying to eye up the jump, how he's going to nail it. I don't think he has any plans to wipe out. He's just going to try to go for it, and he clears it!
Incredible!
Incredibly—
Nailed it! Fred, Von Miller is able to clear that stack and land on his feet. Let's check out the instant replay.
Checking out the instant replay, you can just see the confidence as he nails the jump, clears it. In fact, I honestly think he definitely could have gotten more.
51 total points for Von Miller there, putting him in 3rd place.
Unfortunately, that is the end of your run.
All right, Von, I'm gonna admit, I'm not mad that you lost since you beat my Panthers in the Super Bowl. So go ahead and just— just go ahead and get out of here.
F2 soccer duo is in second place. In the first round, we saw a great performance by Billy. Second round was Jeremy, and he totally sucked, if I'm honest. Here in the third round, we have Jeremy getting another shot at it with the Homestead high jump. Here we go.
Yeah, I'm not sure if this is the play. I mean, if you want to go with playing it safe, Billy definitely should be taking this round. But Jeremy clearly wants to clear his name.
Oh, it's a lot of— thin items that's going to add to that total at the end.
This is probably going to be my toughest competition. They're witty. Kind of scared.
Oh.
Diamond play button in here. That's 8. Oh, look at that, Katie. He's bringing out the YouTube 10 million subscriber button box, flexing that diamond play button. I see what you're doing, Jeremy and Billy.
A sheet of tin foil.
That's probably going to fly. I don't know about that one. I'm going to have to check the rules.
The rules are fine, Ninja. It's an item. It's a sheet of tin foil.
24.
[SPEAKING JAPANESE] Oh, the camera on top.
Oh my goodness. Oh, this is gonna look great.
What will Jeremy land on if he clears the stack? Let's take a look. Do it, do it! No! He does it! My goodness.
Style points with the fall.
43 inches. 28 inches, 28 items.
Yeah!
Come on!
He knew exactly what was gonna happen. He nails it.
42.5. All right, 42.5 inches.
[MASKED].
28 objects, items. Come on, bring on the final.
We're ready for this. 71 points, he is in the lead.
Rhonda, you are getting ready to compete in the Homestead High Jump. How are you feeling right now? I'm feeling really good. I've been, like, studying the rule book. I've been, like, studying it, you know, like a lawyer looking for loopholes.
Ronda Rousey is in 4th place. If we know anything about her from her first 2 rounds and from her whole career, she's going to bring it here. Something real dramatic and real crazy. Ninja, what are you looking for?
I mean, what I'm looking for is some style, and what I'm looking for are a lot of items. She's got to jump high, and she's going to need a lot of items to stack up there to really clutch this top 2 placing.
And she's starting out with furniture. Clearly, she's going to do her dismount onto this bed, but she's got chairs, she's got ottomans, she's got a table. Maybe she'll add a ladder. This is full-on WWE here.
There's the ladder. There it is. I mean, listen, she's going for a height here, but there's just not a lot of items. And I mean, I don't think she could jump that high, Katie.
I don't think so either, but we are going to find out. She has all these massive stuffed animals just living on her couch. I have questions. But the smoke machine makes a triumphant return.
Don't do it, Ronda.
What is this? This is not WWE.
Don't— This doesn't seem safe. I don't want to be the mom here. Testify!
Oh! I win.
And she doesn't even clear it.
What is this? Judges!
Come on. We can't count that.
That's 102 inches from Ronda Rousey. She needed a ladder to attempt to clear it, but clear it she did not.
Ronda, that is crazy creativity and effort and hustle, but, uh, 0 points deduction. Nothing. Mm.
Ahh! That gives her 8 total points. I don't know, Ninja.
I don't think it's gonna be enough. Yeah, I'm not a mathemologist, but I'm pretty sure that 8 points is not gonna be enough.
And with that, with Ronda Rousey's score of 8 points, F2 has officially clinched a spot in our finals.
Okay, well, I have some— Pretty interesting news for you guys. You are advancing to the next round.
Yes! Through to the final! Yes!
Oh my gosh! We are getting down to the wire here, Ninja. Ryan Garcia is in third place. The magic number is 68 points. He needs 68 or more to make it into the finals. Can he do it?
Let's do it. Let's get it. Let's go, guys. Pump it up a little bit, guys. I wanna hear you guys. Anyways, I hear you guys in my head.
Let's go. Ryan Garcia has had an incredible tournament, an incredible showing in the first and the second round. Really needs to clutch this up. He's got that clutch gene. I can just see it. I can feel it.
He started with flat items as well. Ryan's smart. I'm telling you, Ryan's smart.
Does he not have any furniture? Just a random thought.
Let's see where he goes next. Is his house under construction?
Construction. This looks like a man who orders a lot of Amazon packages. Just seems to be having some random cardboard boxes just all around his house. There's not a lot of height yet, but a lot of items. It's clearly the strategy that Ryan is going for here. See, this, this guy is—
he stacks good. He's from the same school as us, really, innit?
Yeah.
When you look at it, he's like doing the same moves.
You've got to bring your lucky stuffed animal. That looks to be a multicolored platypus. Everyone knows, must have one in your home. Toilet paper, always important. Kind of a flex in these trying times.
Looks like he's setting up for the final stack here, Katie, and I'm telling you, he's gotta bring it all or nothing. It's all or nothing right here.
He does it!
He nails it!
69 points for Ryan Garcia! I did it!
Let's go!
42 inches, 27 items, 69 points.
Way to go, Ryan!
Ryan.
You can feel the energy going on right now inside of every person's individual home watching this on YouTube.
The excitement is there. The drive was there. Ryan Garcia knew this was for charity and he showed up. That puts him in the final 2 with F2. F2 has 21 total points after the 3rd challenge. Ryan Garcia with 17.5. Those are the 2 teams we will see in the finals.
Before we get to the final round, let's not forget why we're competing in the first place. The UN Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization is giving patients and frontline workers critical help. Plus, they're supporting research for a vaccine. Remember, you guys can click the Donate button or go to COVID19ResponseFund.org to give. All right, this is the final round. 7 entered this competition. 3 out of 6 competition, 2 remain. Despite being some of the greatest athletes in the world, their skills weren't enough to become champions on their home courts. One by one, these great titans were tested. Chris London's basketball hops didn't cut it. Ronda Rousey was full of smoke, but no fire. Lindsey Vonn's score went downhill, never recovered. Couldn't make the rebound. Bob Miller failed to defend his spot at the top. But in the end, none of them made the cut, except for two. We got Ryan Garcia, we got F2. It's coming down to this final competition. This is the Marathon of Madness.
Thanks so much, Commissioner Curry. Ninja, here we are in the finals. We've got Ryan Garcia, championship boxer, up against F2, two YouTube creators. We've got two Davids versus one Goliath.
These guys have been preparing essentially their entire lives for this, and so have I. I think it's the only reason I've even been put on this earth is to cast this moment. I'm excited. Let's get into it.
This final round combines strength, swimming, running. Here's how it's gonna work. Competitors will each start off off in their bed. And they better relax, 'cause life is about to get very difficult. On go, they'll jump up and move straight to our strength stage. There, they'll need to do 20 push-ups, 20 squats, and 20 sit-ups.
The push-ups have to be done while holding canned food. Squats need to be done while lifting a couch. And the sit-ups must be done while holding a potted plant.
From there, they'll race on to the swimming stage, where they'll need to get in their bathtub and hold hold their breath underwater for a cumulative total of 60 seconds.
And if they aren't out of breath by then, the running stage will surely do it. Our competitors have 400 meters to finish out that competition. The competitor to finish all 3 events with the best time will take home the Homie Trophy.
And F2 will be doing the Marathon of Madness with both Jeremy Lynch and Billy Wingrove. Jeremy will take on the first 2 stages, and Billy— will take on the final stage. Let's check in with Ego, who's with our finalists. Thanks, guys.
I'm here with Ryan Garcia. Ryan, how do you feel about your competitors in this final round?
Competitors? Is that what you want to call them? I don't know. I just feel like us boxers are gonna smash on these soccer players right now. I mean, I just see it happening, but we shall see.
What makes you think you're gonna win this one?
Well, Ego, firstly, the stakes have been up since the last time. I mean, this is really difficult. It's not going to be an easy challenge for us to complete, but we are the F2 and we do like to overcome obstacles. So we're confident. It's just, I mean, it's just that it's a cardiovascular test against a world-level elite boxer who's known for his cardio. But you know what? We're up for a challenge and you never know. You never know.
You never know. And that's the key.
The moment has arrived. Our contestants, I'm getting word, are in bed, ready to go, ready to kick off. This final competition.
All right, here we go. Y'all ready? 3, 2, 1, go!
Oh my God, I'm so excited! F2's on his way. Ryan sprinting down the stairs. The energy is incredible. They're going so fast, Katie, the cameraman can't even keep up.
This is going to be difficult to keep track of, but it's important that you know what's happening. This first First leg here once they leave bed is the strength leg. We've got 20 push-ups with canned food.
And you can already tell Jeremy has a huge head start over Ryan. I can't do 10 push-ups without cans, so I have no idea how these guys are doing it. Just incredible athletes.
Neither have I, and I've never eaten canned food. Now we move on to the 20 squats while lifting up a piece of furniture.
I mean, F2 is just in the lead, dominating. This form is fantastic. And just look at that form. Look at these guys. They're ready. They're giving it their all. This is it. This is what we've all been waiting for. The finals is happening now.
Certainly off-putting to see them doing so much physical activity with these areas and these things that normally I use when being lazy. Now we've moved on to 20 sit-ups with a houseplant on your chest. And as you can see, You can see the size of houseplant not specified in the rules.
Not specified in the rules clearly, as Ryan Garcia has a massive houseplant. I'd say it's probably 10 times the size of what F2 is using. I'm surprised that our referees there aren't throwing some sort of flack.
I'm proud of these men for all having houseplants. Oh!
Big!
Smash of the internal houseplant! They're gonna have to clean that up.
We are not [MASKED] around.
As we move on to our next leg, This is the swimming portion of the competition where they will have to get into a bath that's already been full and hold their breath for cumulative 60 seconds. If they come up for air, the clock stops and they have to go back down. They cannot leave that bath, Ninja, until they've hit 60 seconds on the clock.
All right, now here is something that I honestly did not expect. F2 is insanely out of breath. He has tried to go under. Several times, but comes back up within 3 seconds. And now Ryan Garcia only able to go under for 5 seconds at a time. These— both of these athletes are insanely out of breath, and this is clearly affecting how long they can hold their breath underwater.
The shape and size of these tubs are also of note. We have Ryan Garcia in what looks like a jacuzzi. I would love to have that as my tub. He can lay down in that comfortably, whereas F2 is struggling here with a smaller tub that's built for one person. This is very interesting to me because on paper, this seems like the easy part of the competition. You're holding your breath for 60 seconds. Most people can do that. But because of all of the energy they've been exerting, these athletes are finding it very difficult to stay underwater for long enough to keep that clock running. And it stops every time they come up for air.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you are at home, I am 100% right there with you, triggered by the fact that F2 is getting his socks wet in this tub. I mean, I could— I could just feel the wet sock on my own feet. Oh!
It was certainly a choice and a disgusting one at that. I'm surprised by how many trips under the water this is taking for each of the competitors. You think 60 seconds, not that long, but after that strenuous activity with the cans, the couch, the houseplant, the loss of the houseplant for Ryan Garcia, he now has to keep on keeping on for the memory of that houseplant.
I definitely think people don't realize how much energy and how much— like, how out of breath you're going to be after doing those activities they just did. I mean, listen, I said it before. I can't do 20 push-ups with, you know— period, okay? They just did all this athletic ability and have to hold their breath.
And Ryan is out of the tub first. You saw him there struggling to hold his breath. He knew he had to pull it together.
Okay, Ryan, well, show me what you got.
[SPEAKING SPANISH] F2 is really losing ground here. Ryan is now out of the bathroom. He's on his way outside. Once he gets here, he will begin the third leg of this wonderful triathlon, the speed leg. It's a 400-meter dash. Ninja, you were just talking about how tired you'd be after all that strength competition. Then you've got to hold your breath, and now 400-meter dash.
I mean, not to mention, let's point out the obvious, F2 has two people. He's about to tag his teammate in right now.
Dude is running.
He is taking this all kinds of serious.
F2. I mean, Ryan already looking like he's running out of gas and clearly F2. I mean, just look at— I mean, he's fresh. He's just been waiting outside prepared. He's got all the energy in the world.
This absolutely speaks to the training of an elite athlete. Ryan may not be always have the lead, but he has what it takes to keep going. He won't stop. Ryan is running soaking wet. He has that extra weight, and don't forget the added weight of the loss of the houseplant. I cannot say that enough. That is a sad and devastating loss that happened in the midst of a competition. And look at him keeping it together. Billy— I could be wrong— Billy appears like he's about to take the lead here.
Yeah.
He's right on his tail in terms of laps. It's very, very close, and you're right, there are reasons for that. But yes, it seems like Billy on this turn here may be taking the lead. They're neck and neck.
I can see, I can see Ryan right now. He's actually starting to pick up the pace a little bit. You're starting to see Billy here slow down. My friend, you haven't done any endurance yet, dude. This is the first challenge you have to do, and he's slowing down already. Ryan's picking it up. He's going into hyperdrive. Ryan just completely out of breath. He's being pushed. Can he do it? Is he going to be able to clutch it? Only 3 laps to go.
We got 3 laps to go, ladies and gentlemen. These are the final 3 laps. As you see Ryan Garcia running and looking like your dad. An athlete at the top of his game. Looks like your dad. The final lap. Here it is. They will cross the finish line.
Go! Say, is he going to do it?
I have no idea who won. I think it was— Who won? One big, beautiful tie, folks.
Was that a tie?
I gotta see the replay. I gotta see the replay. I gotta see the replay!
Who's gonna win? And it's Ryan Garcia!
It's Ryan!
By a hair!
Ryan Garcia takes home the Ultimate Home Championship! That took everything out of me.
That was tight, it was tight.
That was one of the most challenging events I've almost ever done. You guys are amazing. Damn, going under that water was no joke.
Oh mate, it was, I've never, do you know what? I haven't been in a state of panic like that since I can remember. It actually threw me off. I haven't, yeah, that was nasty. How did you get on with it? That first dip when you're out of breath.
I had to calm myself down and then the last, I think, 18 seconds I was able to do it because I started shadowboxing underwater.
Did you?
It just helped me. But it was crazy. I thought I was out of breath like crazy. That was no joke.
Yeah. Mate, well played for doing that. I tell you what, that could be introduced into your training regime. I knew from not being able to get in the gym for 9 weeks that I would go, my breathing. I just went. After about round 8, I was gone. I can't believe that you've done all 3 challenges like that, that quick. And beat us. It's just, you've done amazing, man. Well done. Well played, man. Quality. Fully deserved. The better man won on the day.
Yeah.
Hey, respect. We got to go play some soccer sometime.
Yeah. Looking forward to it. Let's do it.
Ryan Garcia, the very first Ultimate Home Champion.
The world's greatest home athlete. And I mean, what else could you ask for? A photo finish? Ryan Garcia taking it all. I mean, it was just something beautiful to behold.
This has been an absolute blast. Let's kick it up to our fearless leader, Commissioner Curry, for the final word.
Congratulations to Ryan Garcia, winner of the Homie Trophy. You earned it. All right, that's it. The first ever Ultimate Home Championships. I've had a blast, and I hope you have too. Of course, I gotta get a big shout out to all the competitors and our amazing broadcast team, Katie Nolan, Ninja, and Ego Wodim. You all proved you still got it, even at home. And don't forget to donate to the UN Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. They're doing amazing work to fund research efforts for a vaccine and aid frontline workers. And remember, even at home, we're all We're all still champions. So stay safe, everybody.
Winner! Undefeated! Never lost.
You think this is a good egg? This is a good egg?
We win everything.
It was easy. So easy.
You know, I definitely am not gonna join the NBA anytime soon, but, you know, at least I can beat him at one thing.
DeAndre!
Gucci Gucci. Gucci Gucci.
Let's go, baby!
