Two coaches walk Jay through a mobility warm-up before the American Century Championship Celebrity Golf Tournament. The routine focuses on high knees, low kicks, and lateral movements to activate the hips and groins without stressing the spine, timed for the warm 70-degree weather.
Hi, Jay! It's game day, Jay!
Most important thing, we gotta figure out what hat we're wearing. Say what? Most important thing, we gotta figure out what hat we're wearing. Feels like a family business day. I like it.
Alright, get in!
Hey!
Normally we go in the lake. No lake today, but it's around 70, so warm. Then it just gets moving. High knees, low kicks, lots of fluidity. It's just refreshing. I mean, there's all sorts of things. Right now we're doing it just to kind of Set everything back up. We'll do a little bit of mobility, some active movement that's not going to load him too much, and then we go. So right now he's going side to side, working full range, and then he's going to go forward, back. But when he's doing it, he's not trying to flex through his spine, he's trying to really get it through the leg. So not, not, but more trying to stay nice and steady. And then we'll go lateral, so really just get everything prepped to get into the hip and the groins.
