Chapters
Or Magic Johnson?
Magic Johnson.
I agree. ILS or Android?
Scoop!
Really? I don't know if you wanted to use that second one. Hillary or Trump?
Hillary. Woo!
Shaq or Kareem?
Shaq. All because I got to play against him, so I understand him. And this was like his year 13, so I got to see exactly what he was about, his presence. And he stepped on my hand once, and that was not fun, so it was definitely Shaq.
I actually met him and did an interview with him once, and I was holding a stick mic up to him, and my arm was exhausted. The freaking Statue of Liberty over there.
He gave an amazing Hall of Fame speech the other day, so If you want to hear more about Shaq's personality, go check that out. It was amazing.
Okay, let's continue. Air Bud or Space Jam?
Space Jam. For sure.
Easy. So you're not a dog fan? You're not a dog person?
I'm a huge dog person.
Just not as much as a basketball player?
Not as much as Mike.
All right. Snapchat or Instagram?
Instagram.
Nice.
Snapchat crew, you know.
Knicks or Nets? Oh, skip.
I'll skip that one.
Neither.
Is that an answer?
I'll take it. I'll allow it.
I got my skip back, just in case.
Sure, you can have your skip back. Uber or Lyft?
I've been on Uber, so that's, yeah.
You've been on one of them?
I've been, oh, I have. More than one. Those rides with drivers are amazing. They are like the biggest fans and they tell me, they're like fans slash coach slash GM slash— aspiring basketball player themselves. So those classes are always entertaining because when I get in— I haven't ate this— but I get in and they recognize it's me, and it's usually a fun ride.
Um, Giants or A's?
Ooh, that's a good question. I already have an AL team because I grew up a Boston Red Sox fan, so it's hard. I love the A's, but it's hard to root for them in case they have to match up against each other. So I'll play the game Chinese. Thank you.
It's been a good—
It's a long answer.
It was a very long answer.
I answered it though.
I'm fine with you justifying this lightning round. Lightning means different things to us, but that's okay. My Little Pony or Peppa Pig?
My Little Pony.
That's your two evils?
Yeah, you got Fluttershy, you got Rainbow Dash, you got—
Again, this one's going to be tough for this guy. Star Wars or Star Trek? Either.
I'm not into it. I'm not into it. I'm sorry.
Everybody in this room feels differently. I've never seen either, but don't tell him that. Um, okay, last one. Washington Generals or Globetrotters?
Globetrotters. That's part of your childhood, going to Washington.
Cool. What app— uh, we're just gonna ask a couple more questions. What app could you not live without?
Probably Instagram. Instagram?
It's like a life or death Instagram.
Yeah, my social life is a life or death situation.
I believe that. I actually probably know more people than just you, your social activity. Um, okay, Silicon Valley has all these entrepreneurs now who are like, you know, turning into B-list celebrities, right? Like Evan Spiegel is engaged to Miranda Kerr, and that's like on the front page of the newspaper. Like, what is going on here, right? Uh, what advice would you give these guys as they kind of come into fame? You've been dealing with it for quite a while.
Um, it's a good question. I'd say when you kind of reach that level, you maybe have your big acquisition or come up with a huge prototype or hit a huge milestone for your company and you get that kind of popularity, when you go to your press conference, make sure you bring your 4-year-old daughter and it'll go by. I don't think—
You know, I'm sorry, I bring up a little Yeah, bring something.
Just bring something.
Mm-hmm.
Have them run around the stage. But no, just enjoy the process, but don't let anything distract you from how you got there, how you— like the time that you put in, the work that you put in, and the brain work it takes to get to that level. And use it for your good. I think that's the biggest thing here. As your platform increases, responsibility increases. But use it. It's definitely a blessing. Don't be afraid of it.
Okay, last question. In 2015, you guys won.
Yes.
That's awesome. 2016, finals were rough, lost. There's been some changes to the team, and you're standing in front of Dub Nation. Can we expect a W?
Oh, we are, yeah. That's the new expectation. We play for championships, and that's it. So, it's gonna be— I thought last year, that whole journey coming off of a championship with 73 wins was about as crazy as it could get. Going to a Game 7 in the Finals, but this season I think will eclipse that. Just the anticipation, the hype. I think our focus as a team, it's going to be amazing. So just don't panic if we lose a game. It's going to happen, right? So yeah.
You do it. I'm already panicked.
Exactly. I'll try not to panic first, so.
That's a lot of really cool stuff. Thank you so much, man.
Thank you, Jordyn. [FOREIGN LANGUAGE]
