In this single‑speaker presentation, the speaker reflects on a recent client meeting where a visually appealing website lacked essential fundamentals, prompting a broader discussion of business fundamentals that underpin website success. He breaks the concept of "fundamentals" into three core elements. The first is mental commitment, which he further divides into four pillars: passion for the work, perception of customer needs, patience to let plans mature, and persistence to keep working despite obstacles. The second element is funds: as expertise and credibility grow, clients listen, leading to revenue generation. The third element is the transformation that occurs once the mental and financial aspects are mastered—business ceases to feel like work and becomes enjoyable. The speaker urges viewers to focus on these fundamentals to improve website visibility and overall business success.

Recently I met with a potential client. They had a nice-looking website, but after a review, it was clear some fundamental elements had been overlooked. Without the basics being built into the website, the site's chances of being seen by the desired customer base were minimal. This made me think about the need to focus on Business fundamentals. When you dive into this word fundamentals, it's a pretty cool word. Break down the word into 3 key elements and it helps define a business. Not entirely, mind you, but it describes 3 key elements I believe are important for your business success. The first, mental commitment. In my mind, half of running a successful business is a mental commitment. A good business person is going to focus on these 4 words: passion. Do you have a passion for the work you are doing? Perception. Can you perceive a customer need and provide a solution to solve that need? Patience. You need patience to let your business plan work. It's not going to happen overnight. Persistence. Can you get up every morning and keep working your plan no matter the distractions, no matter how tough it is? You need to keep getting up every morning and working your plan. If you stay the course and build on your mental commitment to your business, you will start to see your business succeed. The second element is funds. The more you learn, your expertise grows, and soon you will be seen as an expert in your field of work. Potential clients will start to feel your passion and listen to you. As soon as potential clients start to listen, you will begin to see the funds or revenue start to roll in. Lastly, once you've mastered the mental part of your business, you've shared your passion, you've found customer needs and provided solutions, you were patient and you persisted every day, business will start coming your way. The business will no longer be work. It will be fun. Yes, fun. So focus on your fundamentals and watch your business succeed.
