A short monologue-style speech reflecting on perseverance and learning from failure, using Michael Jordan’s career as an exemplar. The speaker quotes Jordan’s well-known lines about missed shots, lost games, and failures leading to success, and urges viewing failure as opportunity.
39 years.
More than 9,000 shots.
Almost 300 games.
26 times.
But what you're going to find, what I've learned in 39 years. It's those times when you take some market share. Once you take it, you never give it back up. This is actually your time to win. You may not realize it, but you've actually wanted this market. And if you play it correctly, you'll do really well. So, Michael Jordan I missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 20 now. This one blew me away because you didn't think Michael ever did this. 26 times I've been trusted to make the game winning shot and I missed. I failed over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed. Never see failure as failure, but as an opportunity to learn. You either win or you learn. Couple things to remember.
