In this presentation, the speaker highlights a common problem in AI enterprise deployments: while demos often showcase impressive capabilities and generate excitement, many AI projects fail to deliver value after they are sold and deployed. The primary reasons identified are a lack of AI‑ready data and insufficient data preparation, including selecting appropriate data sources, ensuring anonymization, and extensive data cleansing. Because enterprises cannot see immediate benefits within the first week of use, users quickly lose interest. The speaker urges AI product builders and sales teams to incorporate post‑sale success planning into their processes—ensuring customers have the necessary data infrastructure and support to realize productivity gains—so that AI applications can truly deliver value and the providers can achieve sustainable success.

Hi, we're noticing something very interesting in the AI apps world. What's happening is the real work is actually starting post-sale, and many of you would have seen that a lot of AI enterprise projects actually fail to deliver the value and productivity, and that's there for a reason. What we are noticing is during the demos, every AI app looks great, and the users, the Enterprise leaders, they feel great about the prospective productivity that they are going to gain. And then the moment you get into the real world, and then everything collapses. And we are noticing that because of couple of reasons this is happening. Number one, a lot of customers, they don't have the AI-ready data. That's really an important one. Number two, It is important to really make sure that what are the data sources that we are looking into? What is the need for the data? Do we have the all anonymized data that we are bringing in? There is so much of data cleansing that the enterprises need to do before they take on the AI journey. Nobody would have thought about that, and because of that, what's happening is Users would actually go in, they would look into the product, and then within the first couple of interactions, within the first week of interactions, if they are not getting the value, then they are saying, hey, this is not for us anymore. And that's super sad. So before, as a next step, if you are building AI apps and then if you are into the sales, make sure that you are bringing in the post-sale success to your customer. And that's the only way that you are bringing the value to your customer. And then you as a startup or a company that is providing the AI apps, you will be able to succeed in your own way. So you make sure that the post-sale success is always thought through in the AI journey.
