Hi, I'm Terri Stockton, folks, and I'm Chief People Officer with Make a Wish of America. A few months ago I had the opportunity to meet Susan Drum and she introduced me to the Enneagram, a tool that I'd never really worked with before. I didn't have any expectations of the tool prior to starting to use it or to take the assessment, but boy did it give me some great insight on myself and the team on which I worked. From our CEO down to our Vice President level, we all experienced the Enneagram, so we got our individual types and our team types. The individual types really gave us food for thought. Talk about blind spots and looking at things in a different perspective that I may not have looked at like before then. I pressure tested the assessment with close friends and family and colleagues and believe it or not, it was true whether I liked it or not. So I really appreciated the growth and the stretch that the Enneagram provided. In addition to that, our team was newly formed and so we all got to meet each other through the lens of motivation. It has hits and now started to really help us think about how we make decisions. What perspectives were missing from the table and it's been greatly insightful and a common language for us all to move forward as an integrated leadership team. Thanks Susan for the insight, the challenge and the support.
